I was very disappointed by the slow service at this restaurant and the ok food. Not only the service but I was very upset to hear one of the Asian managers call a Caucasian hostess a "white bitch." I felt that they were discriminating a young girl for what I didn't think was a good reason, as I observed she was doing her job and nothing else. The menu says they charge for packing up left overs (makes sense) but the manager on duty tried to charge us even though we decided not to take it. Not to mention they did it by just not giving us our change back - we sat at our table for 15 minutes waiting before we went up and asked. I would just sum it up as bland. I think 6 words were said to me the entire time I sat at the bar, which included a beer, appetizer, and sushi entree. The spring rolls had no taste and were fried slightly too long. I ordered a scorpion roll sushi entree which had no taste. It should have been oozing with flavor but I needed to use almost all the wasabi to get any sort of flavor out of the rolls. They were also impossible to eat with chopsticks as they weren't rolled tight enough and fell apart once picked up. This restaurant is very nice. There is a room in the back with hibachi grills, which we sat at. The steak hibachi and sushi was great. I really enjoyed the aged tofu. It tasted just like the dishes I've had in Tokyo. The chef at the hibachi was a lot of fun for the kids and adults. This place is fairly new, so the interior is beautiful. It's very warm and inviting! And very clean. Everyone who has served me has been great.... I've never had to wait long for a table or for my food. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the menu items here are very expensive. More expensive than any other sushi place in Duluth. Had habichi dinner with the family. Service was good! The staffs are fun and energetic. However, I'm giving it a 2 star because the food we were served was so salty that most of us got so dehydrated later on. Tasty, great value at lunch time with huge portions.

This place has so many great choices. For a weekday meal I love the box lunches. Beef teriyaki is my favorite. Comes with small salad and soup, sushi, and small dumplings. This is also our go-to for sushi or sashimi. Friendly service and nice decor. The only thing I would say is stick to the Japanese food. And a shout out to the owners- I love your restaurant, but for the love of God, please never make Pad Thai again. The only thing I've had there that was truly awful! read more

Hate the soup and the salad that comes with every entrees. If that makes it more expensive then there should be an option to remove them. Otherwise I love the sushis they are great and the pork gyoza but the shumais are very bland. Prices are also ridiculous. I went there with my sister and the tab was more than $50 for a steak and a sushi roll. It shouldn't be that expensive for only two people. Serious sanitation issues. Had a mild case of food poisoning after ordering their vegetable teriyaki. My meal did not include any meat or fish, so getting food poisoning means they've got a serious bacterial issue. I'd recommend avoiding this place unless you're interested in getting sick. read more

Nothing but disappointment. We made a reservation here for 2 since I prefer sushi, and my partner prefers hibachi. Right away we were greeted by an unamused, sarcastic hostess. We got the impression that they did not ensure a table was ready for our reservation (either that or the hostess had no idea what was going on). Once seated, it was evident they were not complying with COVID capacity regulations. We ordered the all you can eat menu. Service was incredibly slow, portions were meager, things were misnamed (we ordered cream puffs, but it was actually crab rangoon) , and sushi was not made with sushi rice. The soy sauce was not salty (which was baffling) , and they could not even cut the sushi in semi-regular sizes. The sushi had barely any fish in it, and the hibachi had no vegetables and you had to order rice separately. By far the worst sushi place I have ever been to. But it didn't make me sick and it tasted reminiscent of sushi so it could have been worse. read more

Curry chicken had a nice heat but was bland otherwise. Hibachi chicken was extremely dry, steak was a bit tough but better than the chicken overall. Fried rice was bland with hard pieces throughout but it wasn't under cooked rice so I wasn't sure what was in it. Visited this place on Wednesday evening. Service was slow. Got our water served about 20 minutes after being seated. Were crammed in a 4 person table for 4 dinners and 2 toddlers. While the waiter was taking the order, water got spilt on the table. Waiter continued to watch us mop it up as he waited for us to continue giving him our order.... haven't seen this before!. The salad and miso soup is nothing to write home about. The shrimp tempura sushi roll was nice. The red curry was also pretty good. From the kids menu, we got the shrimp tempura. I was in here a few weeks ago with a friend, ended up sitting at their hibachi grill. The atmosphere is different then most hibachi places much smaller darker lighting which isn't bad but playing all kinds of bizarre music choices from country, to Miley cyrus, to thriller. Anyways sat down at the hibachi the chef was less then enthusiastic to be there and you could tell by his performance. I had the steak and scallop combo, my friend just had the chicken. The food was okay portion sizes were smaller then other hibachi grills, nothing to brag about. Bill came and for the 2 of us and 2 drinks ot was close to 80 dollars so pretty expensive for duluth. Got home started watching a movie about an hour later was scrambling for the toilet where I spent a large remainder of the night(friend had the same scenario). Called the restaurant the next day, immediately it was not there fault and it was whatever I had ate before I went there, ( cereal for breakfast, and a pb&j and a couple granola bars for lunch so after insisting it was them they agreed to take my number and would have a manager call me. Week went by no call, so I called again. "Manager was to busy to deal with phone complaints" hung up on. Called again today whoever answered the phone was very rude asked to speak to a manager apparently no manager will be in the restaurant until saturday? How does anywhere go 5 days with no manager. I will be going there in person to discuss this ordeal and will most likely be calling the health department also. Defiantly not ok do not eat here ever! read more

When we questioned the mistakes on our bills (to two different people working there) they told us we were "confused" and they did NOTHING about it. It was a total scam.
