The food felt very much like a fast food pasta that you would expect. The meatballs are fine? Could be better with a little more spice to them. The spaghetti actually was cooked well, and the sauce was tasty. The portion is not bad, it'll fill you up but for about $20 with tax the price is slightly high. Overall, my first experience wasn't bad at all. Dear reader. I am going to preface his with a major trigger warning. My experience today at Duluth Miller Hill Mall Noodles and Company shattered my hopes and altered my perception of reality. We came in happy little campers, and left as sad and wilted bums. When we first entered we were yelled at that NO orders were being taken and it was going to be at LEAST 45 minutes. This was extremely detrimental as we are recovering from other anger directed outbursts at us but that is another story for another day. We came back 45 minutes later as excited customers, ordering our food. Whilst attempting to fill my water cup with unflavored sparkling water, I was met with the hostile force of the uncomfortably large manager telling me to stop filling it with "soda pop" which I tried to say was not- but my reputation was already ruined. I would like to add- the food is always great and hits the spot- if they didn't FORGET HALF OF IT! Tried to stiff me on my meal and fat shame me??? Unforgivable if you ask me. Other regular class worker man was awfully kind and SOMEWHAT restored my faith in this franchise by giving me the other half of my meal that was attempted to be kept from me. Near the end of our treacherous visit we were greeted by another kind worker gentleman saying that the previous manager was "trippin fo real fo real". Seems this business does not satisfy customers or staff. I predict an uprising in the future. I come in here to eat a lot. I alway come here and I always know that I can expect fast, friendly and exceptional service. The food has always been fresh and there is always a good selection. I try to find something new every time I come in because they always have so many great options. So far, the med chicken salad and the Chineese chicken salad have been the two biggest winners! A Noodles in Duluth! Okay its at the mall - not a fan of that (really no places downtown that would have worked??). I'm a big fan of Noodles in Indianapolis (and elsewhere if I happen to be traveling to a city that has Noodles) since it has such a healthy menu with lots of options. Friendly staff - you order at the counter and if it is eat-in then the staff brings the food out to the table. If you are in the Duluth area you now have a new place to checkout that has fresh and healthy food (plus some desserts if you are tempted!). Restaurant was a bit on the smallish side but includes outside tables if the weather permits. Outside seating isn't that scenic: the parking lot. But its at the mall so hard as for much more than that. read more

Ordered the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese with the Parmesan Chicken added - excellent, but was only luke warm coming straight out of the kitchen. The herbal tea was fantastic. If I could give negative stars, I would give this place five. This place is a DISASTER, and has been for a couple years. I love noodles - pasta - whatever, so I go here a lot. The last several times I've gotten food there, there's always some problem. Last time they didn't have meatballs. The time before that they didn't have ramen. A couple times prior, another type of noodle was out. You wanna give any specific instructions? They will be completely ignored. On the latest visit, I ordered for my SO and myself. Not surprisingly, they called me and said they don't have spaghetti OR meatballs. What would I like to substitute for each? Needless to say, he ordered something else. WHAT the Fork does this place even do if they never have actual NOODLES? It's your literal name! Once I arrived a few minutes after the original order was supposed to be done, I am asked if I am picking up. "Yes I am", I tell this one. She says, "well we tried to call you, blah blah blah". I say "Yep- I talked to someone and ordered something else" (Like 10 mins ago). I stand around 10 more minutes. Someone else asks me my biz. I say I'm waiting on an order. They say "oh, well, we tried calling you"...I say "yes, and I called you right back and ordered something else" (like 20 mins ago now). This person then converses with the kitchen staff, who says yeah they're making these replacement noodles. Great, yes? But I wait longer. A family comes through, orders, and receives their food. I'm still there. I hear one of the staff up front ask about these imaginary noodles they're making me, and a kitchen dude says "I didn't know I was supposed to!" And so I realize I've been waiting a half hour or so for nothing (unless my other order thats been sitting on the warmer for 20 mins is something). So now they are going to start making the food. Yay. This wasn't communicated with me though. Why would it be? I just live there at this point as a decoration. So after no one tells me that it's only just now being cooked, I wait longer and get the over-sauced noodles we never wanted. Oh, and the one seemingly in charge mumbles sorry and says they threw in a certificate meant for employees that entitles me to one "dish". But it expires soon. Awesome. I'll for sure use that. Maybe I can redeem it on the app that never works. Beyond always being out of stuff, their customer service is typically TERRIBLE. The lackadaisical staff could not be much less enthusiastic or helpful. They never apologize when they've screwed up your order, dumped it into your bag without closing the lid, forgotten something you ordered, or when the ordering or pick-up process takes an eon to complete. The place is generally not kept up- there are often spills and crap all over the floor, a dirty kitchen, nasty smells, and employees throwing stuff and dropping stuff and lazily shuffling around to get it like they're Paul Rudd picking up his cafeteria tray in Wet Hot American Summer. Busy location at the miller hill mall. Parking near this location is often times a struggle. I ordered the Thai Green Curry. Substituted the shrimp with tofu and it was great. Tofu was firm and tasty. Looked at online menu and noticed that this dish could be made vegetarian by deleting the shrimp or using tofu. Glad I looked online to find that out. Other items are clearly marked that are vegetarian to start with. Staff was very friendly and helpful at the register helping me navigate subbing the shrimp with tofu. They both tasted nothing like last year when we ate their. Really bad food. So disappointing. The place was so dirty. A young male came out from the kitchen and was so angry that he had to remove bowls from one of the tables. He never even cleaned any of the tables. We wouldn't even use the bathroom. My friend called in an order and put mine on his, normally this is no big deal, but to the staff at this Noodles and Company, it seemed a much more daunting task than previously anticipated. They didn't split it evenly, even though we had the same exact order, and then we waited for another 5 minutes waiting for our food, then being asked "what are you waiting on," after having called in our order ahead. My friend said that they didn't answer the phone in a way that you could tell that they are actually noodles, which my friend had to then ask "hello?" Some days I would go and they will show that they care and others when they will just ignore you until you interrupt them and call them out.
