Fresh, locally sourced and delicious menu options, fast and hospitable service!…read more We were worried that the wait time would be long but it was just long enough to enjoy the outdoor garden boxes and sun. Even though we are visiting Duluth during this crazy time of the wild fires, Duluth Grill made our trip worth it! They have a streamlined process for getting seated, the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and local area. My family ordered the usual staples: biscuits and gravy, pancakes and sausage, and bacon/eggs/sausage. All were hearty portions and perfectly prepped. I tried the "Triple B" which turns out to be a Midwest version of Bibimbop. Made with manoomin (wild rice), beef/pork mix, kimchi, marinated kale- probably my fave of the dish. The combo is a deliciously perfect power meal to start any day and weekend right! I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the care they take in procuring local ingredients- even their kale and some herbs are from their own lil garden. I highly recommend the Duluth Grill, there's something for everyone! We will definitely stop by on our next trip out to Duluth.

We had checked reviews and saw there were some reviews indicating this restaurant was not as good as it used to be. We decided to see for ourselves as the menu, other positive reviews sounded like it was an incredibly good place to go. It is. It was. It was busy, being a Sunday morning especially, but the staff was handling it all well from our perspective . I used to manage restaurants a long time ago and was impressed with the flow. Our waitress, Natalie, was delightful, knew the menu well to describe and answer questions, and we were not wanting for anything. She checked on us, always grinning and managing the iace well. I had the banana bread pancakes. A perfect choice ! They came and looked like a picture stacked up and flowing down with Carmel, maple bourbon syrup, marzcapone cream and nuts. So delicious. I took half home and enjoyed the rest later. Heated up perfectly with a 20 second zap in micro. My son had the corn beef hash skillet and said his was just as good as mine. We both agreed that we had no idea why reviews were negative, especially going on a busy morning. We will be going back every time we visit. I recommend you do too.

Whenever I am in a new town, I always gravitate toward the vegetarian-friendly establishments. When…read moreI found this place, I was pretty excited, because I have had some really good experiences in health food store cafeterias! I am really giving this place three stars, but one extra for service (as you might note below). The excellent: Upon entering the cafeteria area in the back of the store, one of the folks behind the cold/prepared foods counter greeted me, and I asked him about the options I could order for dinner. He was amazingly helpful, but to be honest, there really aren't that many vegetarian options on the menu. There is a hot food table, but I wanted more of a sandwich, so I ordered the falafel sandwich. It was different than any other falafel I have had (baked instead of fried), but it was fresh and tasty. The pricing was spot-on and fair. The meh: The seating area to eat, just past the cash registers is pleasant enough, but needed to be cleaned. It's very utilitarian, and served its purpose... but a more inviting space would certainly be welcome. Overall: Probably a 3.5. However, because of the service and the fact that I am an optimist, I'll give a 4.

The section could use more care as there were many out of date cheeses, and one very moldy one right in front; I actually bought one a month past sell-by by choice, as I really wanted the cheese. I saw some cheeses dated as far back as February this year (it's the end of June). The market otherwise looked clean and maintained.

The food was prepared and delivered quickly and the staff kept our cups filled without any of us needing to wave them down. Secondly, the building and tables, dinnerware and glasses were all very clean. The dishes had an "antique" feel to them, not just the boring white ceramic dishes as most restaurants have. Thirdly, the wait staff, hostess, and all employees were very friendly yet professional. They all knew their jobs well and strived to make everyone's experience better. They also understood when one of the patrons had stated they had a shellfish allergy and didn't need any other explanation. Fourth, the food was priced very fair with very large portions. I left with almost another meal worth after eating more than my stomach could stretch. Time for the cons: When looking on Google for "restaurants near me" it didn't pop up, I'm not sure why either because they do have a website. Also, I wasn't 100% sure they were open initially, there was cars in the parking lot, but the open sign was pretty small, and easily hidden behind parked cars. Other then these 2 negatives, we enjoyed our experience, thoroughly enjoyed the food (the egg drop soup was better then anywhere I've tried it before) and enjoyed the atmosphere. I will be going here again and highly recommend this establishment to others.

Foods came out pretty fast and tasted like every other Chinese restaurants. Now for the 3* Gotta keep the work related talks on the softer side.
