I had never heard of schiacciata, but I guess it's a focaccia that's pressed thinner and crispier. In a sandwich, it's nice having more moisture from the olive oil. Plus you get some textural crunch, but not too much. Just right. The mortadella quality is great. The pesto brings the herbal quality and some seasoning. The stracciatella cheese brings the fat. It's nice and light as a spread. A thin compliment. It all adds up to one hell of a sandwich. Highly recommended. On top of this, they have La Colombe coffee which I prefer for the darker roast. This place is frickin awesome. If I lived in SD, I'd be all the time.

They do have quite a large menu and what's really cool is that you can order breakfast or lunch no matter what time. The big selling point also are there Frenchie shaped waffles. Parking is really easy, you can find a free space across the street if available, otherwise there are two large pay lots on both sides of the restaurant. Everything that we ordered came out very fast and one of my favorite parts about this location is we were able to sit and have our brunch while watching all the boats in the harbor and smelling the ocean air. It's really hard to beat in terms of location. They also have really great food. I chose the Breakfast Croissant and had to get a side Frenchie Waffle as well.
