What an extremely hidden little gem of a find this was! We wanted to hit a quick breakfast before airport drop-offs, so we're looking for something very close. Found this on Yelp but thought it couldn't possibly taking us to the right place because we only knew C-Level, Prime, and Coastera to be on this side of Harbor Island Drive. We pulled into the parking lot at the Marina, not seeing it, walked around still not seeing it. Thought we were mistakenly walking into a marina rental shop and then noticed the signs inside with menu at the counter. Order at the counter, no actual indoor restaurant/seating but the casual outdoor seating in front or back offers great views and the food was fantastic! I had the banana berry French toast which the gentleman who took our order kindly recommended when I asked as he said the fruit was super fresh as he had just picked it up that morning...sold! It was delicious. My son had the Chicken & Woofles which was not only tasty but super darn cute. The Woofles were little Frenchie dog shaped waffles. Also the service was super friendly and helpful! We loved The Funky Frenchie and will definitely be back on another sunny day soon!

Woofels soooo Cute and WOWWWWW delish !

We just landed in San Diego and I was tasked to find some quick food. Man did we score on this place, and we brought some doubtful friends with us who are now fans :) The Food items were top notch with preparation and the flavor was exceptional! The customer service was over the top and we were checked on several times. The ambiance is great with a beautiful view of the Marina! Outdoor seating is the only option here but extremely comfortable with table in front and in back of the restaurant. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the San Diego area. My family and I are foodies and always looking for cool foodie places and I am very glad we stopped in here! We will most DEFINITELY be back! Thank you Funky Frenchie!

Food was good, service was wonderful and the view was lovely. Went here for breakfast one day, party of 7. It was kind of hard to find, the owner spotted me looking and walking in circles and showed me where they were . Very nice man, very helpful and accommodating. So it's in the boating convenience store, where they serve out of a shared counter. Seating is outside where you can choose the back where the marina is or the front where the bay is- either way a lovely view. Loved the creative menu. Had the apple pie style French toast and tried the croissant breakfast sandwich, also a coffee. Oh and tried all of their lemonades, they were delightful. Everything was good.

This place is a hidden gem! Initially we had trouble finding it, but thanks to Yelp reviews we figured it out. It seems to be a delivery place on the outside, but the kitchen is in there. This guy is a one man show! Breakfast menu is small, but great options. We ordered breakfast burritos, breakfast bowls and the tiramisu French toast. The gentleman working for some seats outside wiped down for us from the rain, and went inside to get cooking! Service is a tad bit slow, especially if you have more people show up, but it's worth the wait. You have beautiful views of the water and it's so peaceful. Food was so good, so flavorful, and just the right portion size. Coffees that were ordered were good as well. We hope people continue to find this place! You won't be disappointed.

Wow. The customer service here went way above my expectations. We ordered our food and a short time later the rain started. They don't have a covered spot outside the place but they offered to take us to the club members area which had a covered seating area. Totally didn't need to do that since we went club members but wow talk about great service. The food was just as good. I got the apple tart tartine French toast and it was ridiculously good. Not overly sweet and the carmeliaes apples with the ice cream was just perfect. The breakfast burrito also was good. Stuffed well with potatoes, bacon and cheese. The French fries crispy and delicious. Not greasy at all. The cortado was good and strong. And the Americano was also perfect. Stop in. You won't be disappointed.

The Buffalo chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. The berry french toast was also amazing and the perfect sweet treat. On top of the great food, Maria provided excellent customer service. She was so friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Great food and great service, I'll definitely be coming back!

Tucked away in a storefront renting boats this spot is worth a stop. 0 indoor seating but plenty of tables outside to enjoy the wonderful weather and waterfront. We tried the churro French toast and tiramisu French toast. Tons of sugar but absolutely delicious.

    Churro Frenchie was so good!

Food was amazing and it was so fun to sit on the patio overlooking the water! Definitely need to get the breakfast burrito and churro French toast!

Twice I got complimentary soup, twice did not. Maybe end of day is better in terms of what they give out. Sometimes there's condiments. Their outdoor eating area kind of changes too a bit sometimes. I get the OG taco usually and my gf gets the ceviche. Never had complaint although on most recent trip the ceviche seemed smaller portion. The taco was 5.99 each and fish seemed bigger than usual. I kind of suspect that as they close down they give bigger portions of what they have left. They had sold out of octopus and other menu items. Do try get there before 6:30pm cause they do start packing around 6:45 ish. Quality is good, tastes fresh. Tacos were filling for just $12. You're probably not supposed to but I often park in complex across street but street parking is easier. There's a $1 fee for credit so bring cash if that's a concern. The fish was very flaky and enjoyable to eat. Each taco had chopped onion, cilantro & cabbage on it as well as white sauce. The tacos are fairly large, and honestly two tacos were fine for me, so M. enjoyed four tacos and was happy about that. They have a selection of sauces that are labeled. They were out of the habanero, but the green jalapeño one was tasty with just a bit of heat. If you are in the mission valley area, this is a good taco Tuesday deal. This is a food truck, so there are limited amenities. They do have a couple of tables under a canopy where you can stand and eat if you wish, otherwise, you can take your food to go. Kiko's is also known for their delicious ceviches as well as other taco options, so give them a try. Prices are reasonable! Gracias!

The catfish was good but not as good as the shrimp. They mac & cheese was the best I've had!!! We also had the peach cobbler and it was soo very tasty. My only regret is not getting it with ice cream. 2 days later I went back with my kid to try the chicken tenders, fries, egg rolls, and get some more Mac & Cheese. Chicken & fries were seasoned good. This truck once operated out of the Del Mesa Liquor store lot but has since moved to a vacant lot on W Morena Blvd. This allows them to post up near the empty business with tables and chairs mostly underneath the building awning to offer shade. Plus, plenty of parking! The OG Fish Taco now at $4.25 is the obvious choice. It somehow comes with two battered fishes (each SO crunchy) along with fresh pico, cabbage, and white sauce. Despite its battered format, it is still mostly fish. Otherwise, the grilled fish taco is $6. Maybe slightly healthier and less heavy if that's what you're looking for. Their mariscos are something to celebrate as well. The tostada shrimp aguachile for $12.95 was beautifully presented. Upon first glance, it doesn't appear to have much shrimp, but hidden underneath the multitude of fresh cut fruit and avocado was a treasure trove of raw shrimp. This one was a bit harder to eat but they thoughtfully give you another chip underneath to use as your vessel for consumption. It's all so, so messy, but the truck has a wash station to clean up your hands afterward. Oh, did I forget the complimentary seafood consommé gifted to you as you wait?? Simply the best! Somehow, Kiko's is still legit despite a potential dilution of operations across the other truck and the new brick and mortar. Definitely a preferred location for easy access, top quality mariscos, sit down table availability, and early morning grub session (open as early as 9:30am).
