For what it is, it's great! The best thing about this place is the view! 2nd best is good food at a decent price. Hazelwoods was the top Yelp hit for best in the City. Two things to know if you're a regular to club sandwiches. 1) these are not toasted. But I'm sure they'd accommodate. 2) I've never been asked, "would you like the third slice of bread." Seeing the size of the sandwich, I understood. One sandwich to share is plenty unless you like leftovers. I recommend a seat outside to enjoy the passersby and the harbor view. It's beautiful on a sunny day. Horrible customer service. We're staying at the Wyndham and came in to by a couple bottles of water after an outing. They have old and dry candy for sale for $13.99 a pound...That was a red flag for price gouging. We bought the waters then remembered that we get a 10% discount for staying at the Wyndham. The Hispanic lady told us it was too late since she already rang us up. Then she said that her boss told her not to tell guests about the discount if they didn't mention it. Think of this place as a 7-11 for nearby hotel guests. Food isn't horrible but not good. Salads (with greens), potato and macaroni salads didn't taste fresh. As long as you approach it as going to a 7-11 (i.e., nothing better around, you mainly want convenience items like chips, soda, candy bars, etc), with high prices but lower than what your nearby hotels' vending/gift shops charge, you'll be fine. read more

I took my sandwich to go, and grabbed a few drinks to take back, The sandwich: It's a good sandwich, but could be a great sandwich with more meat. It was enough and filling, I only ate half. But I'm a hot pastrami sandwich guy, and this lacked the meat! Right! That's what makes a pastrami sandwich. Not knocking it! It was good, and took care of me having my pastrami fix! Walked here from the Wyndham for lunch with ordering a sandwich in mind. But when i arrived i saw someone get an acai bowl and it caught my eye. So i went with that! They did forget to make my order until i asked about it. But once i reminded them, it was out pretty quickly. I liked the base smoothie part, super hard and tasty.. i didnt really like the weird mushy mixed berries on top with what looked like honey. It tasted too sugary to me. So i removed most of it and enjoyed with banana and granola, it's a good amount i couldnt finish it all. I think next time i want to try the sandwiches!! Another lunch time spot for me when I was out here for training. It was really convenient for me as it was right out front of where my room was located. Plus I really didn't have to walk far to have a decent lunch. Basically a deli, you go in and look over the menu quickly and make an order. There seems to be daily or weekly specials and you can take advantage of that. I believe that is what I got was one of the specials. Basically it was their Hot Dog Meal kicked up a bit. Mine had chili and cheese on it. The meal pairs it with fries and a drink. Once you order you kind of just stand around with the rest of the people waiting on their food. It is a hard thing to find a place to stand in here without being in someone's way. I swear I moved about a dozen times before my food was ready. But that also allows for you to look around and see how this place works. I was glad I did, because things go rather quickly here. I mean like one thing after another. They work rather quickly and get orders out in a timely manner. This meal was quite filling. When I think of hot dogs I think of what you get at a gas station, or a packet you buy in the grocery store. But here, it is like the hot dog was hoagie. It does say the hot dog is a quarter pound, but the toppings is what puts this into the hoagie category. It sure was a messy eat, but I still made sure to try my best. If you go the route I went, be sure to get utensils. Anything that falls off the hot dog will require utensils to clean up. Or you could use the fries to clean up the chili or the cheese or both. Very satisfying meal. What kind of puts this meal over the top is the view. Sitting outside, overlooking the bay is a nice setting. We could not finish it with two adults, so it can be big enough to share with your family. It gave us a good amount of healthy sugar, so we could enjoy our bike ride right after that. Avocado toast - 3 stars I think I expected a little too much for this avocado toast. It was a good food, I enjoyed it. But it was just a simple avocado toast as expected. Nothing better or worse. It helped me feel our vacation was more real though. Considering a little rough service, but very convenient location, I would rate 4 stars out of 5. I wish I ate somewhere else for better food and cheaper as well. I had the Hazelwood Special. It was advertised bacon, sausage, eggs, and potatoes and pancakes. The pancakes were 3 mini frozen pancakes. The eggs were ok along with the sausage and bacon. The potatoes and pancakes were awful. I also tried their acai bowl which was awful as well. I participated in The Great American Takeout during the Covid-19 outbreak and decided to try a few items from here a week ago. Since I called ahead to order, my food was ready in about 30 minutes. I got the Thai chicken salad and the bacon cheeseburger for lunch. The burger came with a side item (I chose fries) and a drink. This shop is located across from the Midway, so you can head over to the bay if you don't want to sit in their patio. There is seating inside as well. Since dining in was prohibited, I took everything to go, of course. I was surprised that they were well stocked with essentials, like toilet paper, etc. You can buy candy by the bulk, pasta salads, sandwiches, acai bowls too. Be sure to check out their daily specials! I ate the chicken salad first and it was refreshing and delightful. I loved the ginger sesame dressing it came with. The cheeseburger was huge and tasty -the bun was also nice and crispy on the the edges. I enjoyed the thick fries as well, but my hubby said it was okay.
