When I come here I notice my polish lasts longer. They do a good job. Unfortunately like most nail salons the women will talk to each other in Vietnamese more than they talk to you. Customer service is a little off for that reason but they do a great job. My nail polish lasts double the time here that it does at most places. That means something to me. 10/04/17 update: Haven't been here in about 2 months. Someone's made some changes or else this was just a good night. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago because it was in the area I was in so I decided to check it out. First, I had to wait almost an hour to get my nails done.. They charge you extra if you want more than one color which is ridiculous, and on top of that I came to get a fill today at my regular salon and when they took the nail off I had fungus growing because the guy who put on this set of nails at Cloud Nine didn't do it right so water got stuck under the nail which caused fungus to grow!! I came in on a busy Monday and I wanted to get a deluxe pedicure and color powder set. They decided to do both at the same time, which upon reflection May have been why I did not have the best experience. Both ladies were extremely nice and accommodating (I can't stress that enough). The pedicure was the best out of the two, but she scrubbed the side of my foot until I pulled away because she scrubbed past by skin. I still have a scab. The manicure was straight up ugly. I got coffin shaped nails but it was not defined at all, some we're shorter and sharper at the top, others wider and rounded. I asked for matte which it wasn't, it was just dull. Can't believe I paid 75 bucks for this. Only reason they get 2 stars is because the ladies were so nice. read more

So I've been twice now and have had a great experience both times. The salon is bright and clean with large televisions and big new chairs. I like my nails very short and round, with colored powder on my natural nails. Matthew did an awesome job, I will definitely request him when I come back for my refill in two weeks. The location is a brand new shopping center at westheimer and hwy 6, I passed it up the first time so if you're looking for it its next to the Mattress pro. They have plenty of chairs so I don't imagine people have to wait long (if at all). Love the place! read more

Tried this place for the first time and it was the worst experience. I had a 3pm appointment and I was sitting there for 48 min for someone to come do my pedicure. The appointment was for both pedi and mani and only the pedi lady came. It was unprofessional and just horrible. The man that took someone else after knowing i was there was Steve. This place really needs to get better with their customer service and appointments. Very unprofessional and will NOT be receiving my business ever again. The pedi was just horrible they didn't even scrub my feet properly she really just wiped them. Not worth it at all. Ive gotten better service at a different place for the same price I paid there. My feet are so soft and moisturizers and light. I also got powder nails. Beautiful lay and very sharp where it calls for sharpness. I gave this place a try twice. And the second time we were the only people in the place. (3 people). So we each had someone working on our feet and hands at the same time. I'm not sure what they were working on before we walked in, but it felt like they were racing to finish first. My nail tech was doing my shellac so fast I never got a chance to look at them as she worked on them. When she finished I realized she didn't even cover my entire nail on either hand. The sides were all bare. When I asked her to fix them she caught an attitude, and shaved down the shellac she had done, and proceeded to paint over it. They aren't really friendly, and try to push you to do things that you don't want. They do not take their time doing your nails. My mom and I got cut by them and they used some bottle of antiseptic on us, and touched the dropper of the bottle to both of our open bloody cuts. No, no, NOPE! This place has potential, sad to say they miss on customer service & execution. In fairness to the Cloud 9, 50% of the work they did was fine, I have no issues with the quality but the customer service and attention to detail is lacking. Also, I feel they are priced too high for the area. The first time I went here they did a great job and the price of $30 included paraffin. Which I think is appropriate for Mission Bend, this time the price went up and didn't include paraffin. The lady who did my feet seemed more concerned with chatting and laughing with her coworkers than paying attention to her job. I corrected her on the water that was burning my leg to a pulp and she said "sorry the gloves make me feel like it's not hot" - Say WHAAAA?? UH. NO! You're wearing latex gloves, don't act like those are thick cotton. psssshhhh. pay attention boo, you got one job! Then I had to ask her to redo my feet in some areas, again while she was doing them she was looking all around and seemed far more interested in other areas in the spa. Looking at my toes the next day, that girl needs a ruler! WTF! They are crooked as hell and is the WORST shaping job I have EVER got. The girl who did my hands was on point. aka 50% of the work. As you can see from reading the reviews they are not consistent, you could walk out on or leave . If you're charging $40 in Mission Bend I think you need to do better. I went to this salon for the first time today - I liked the location, I liked the reviews, so I figured I've give it a shot. I think it will be my go to salon from now on! I was tended to immediately upon walking in and got a shellac manicure. The salon is large, clean and lovely. All of the employees were friendly and attentive - I was offered water (Fiji water!) and snacks. And best of all, the service I received was professional. AND my nails look great! I was in and out in just under 40 minutes. Next time I will try out the full mani pedi spa treatment. Honestly the first time I went here it was amazing. I got my nails done by a Puerto Rican woman, and she was awesome. She was super sweet and funny and she basically made my experience. I was getting fake nails and she even gave me advice on ways that I can make my nails cheaper, but last just as long and look just as amazing! She worked so hard on my nails, was super attentive to me, and after everything she asked me if I was happy to which I said yes and I happily paid and went on my way. The second time I went in for a refill, was an UTTER disaster. I asked for the same woman, but sadly she was away for a few weeks so I had to go with someone else. Right off the bat I was told I had to either do powder or shellac for my nails, to which I said no, I just wanted them painted with regular polish. Even after I told her this, she brings me the shellac colors to choose from, to which I repeated I didn't want shellac and went to go look at the wall of polish. She then asked me twice if I wanted a pedicure to which I replied no. When the refill began, I noticed that the quality of the refill was a little lacking and I noticed some gaps between the refill and my actual nail (which is supposed to be covered) but I didn't really let it phase me and moved forward. When she told me to go wash my hands, I came back to a check and was told I had to go pay before she finished. I was shocked and asked why and she said she wouldn't continue and paint my nails unless I paid. This should've just been a sign for me to pay for the basic refill and leave but I payed and I put the tip on the receipt (which I regret not putting a lesser amount on now). She was AWEFUL at painting my nails. I still have smudges on my finger tips which she neglected to clean. After she finished she told me to go dry them and that was it, she didn't even come to let me know I was done or to make sure they were dry, like the other lady did. You could make the argument that I should've been more aggressive with my nails, but tbh this shouldn't have even happened in the first place. If you ever go, ask for the Puerto Rican woman or beware. read more

Went here to get my nails done and I loved my toes. I did not like my acrylic set, I asked the guy if he could fix them because I wasn't satisfied. He got mad threw the towel on the counter and walked away, they had to take them off since of course I wasn't going to pay, they soaked my nails and I had to scratch the acrylic off myself. They were rude. And poor customer service. I've never been any were before that I didn't like my nails or the people. This place hikes up the price weekly. I have no problem paying if there is an improvement in the service. All of the staff is not properly trained and some don't do a good job. I paid over $100 for my daughter and I to get mani and pedi with gel and it was coming off the next day. When I called she said I would have to pay about $15 for them to fix their mistake. When I moved to the area, this salon had caught my eye because of how nice it looked, very fancy. But I never tried it, kept going to my usual place. I recently got a flyer in the mail from this place, so I'm like okay let me look up the reviews. So I was hesitant about trying it because of previous reviews, but my experience was not negative at all. I called prior to coming to get prices, not expensive at all, very reasonable. I came around 6ish, so I thought maybe it was too late. Arriving the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. I was coming in for a shellac mani and regular polish pedi. She handed me the color palette for shellac and told me they had regular colors to match those as well. I was seated instantly, no wait. I had 2 techs work with me, and both were very polite and did a great job! I was offered snacks and a drink as well. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience. I will be returning. Worst experience. I ask for a traditional pedicure which included hot towel and hot stones. Well I received none of those. I told the lady I basically got the mini pedicure. The difference was $5. I told her I will pay for what I received. She said no I will pay $25. I asked for the manager and she said the manager is our sick. They lady was rude. She said the price flyer was printed wrong. I said if it's wrong why did she show me that. They will never get my business again . If you go here make sure you get what you pay for. Nobody there was helpful. I was they only customer there. They knew something was wrong with the power because the nail tech kept calling other nail techs over to help solve the problem. Anyway, they sent my mom home and of course every nail was not dry. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and ask what I would like to get done. I asked for my usual a shellac manicure with a pedicure. I was very happy that they had CND shellac but they did not have the VINYLUX polish to match my toes so I asked for french. My experience was enjoyable. They have a returning customer here. They always have exceptional customer sevice and quality pedicure and manicure service. I became a regular customer after I experienced a fungal infection at a nearby salon. They use plastic bags in the pedicure basin and use sterilized instruments on customers. Cleanliness and affordability is important to me in nail salons and cloud 9 meets my expectations. read more
