They are so delicious!! Love that we can get homemade bread without all of the chemicals and preservatives. Great place lucky to have this business in our local community. At 9 am on weekdays they have a full assortment delicious, fresh baked pastries and the staff are hard at work preparing trays for later in the day. The servers are friendly and it's not too busy - lines of maybe 4 or 5 people at the most. There are two businesses sharing the same building: Village Bread on the right and Lucid Coffee on the left. You get in line and pay twice, once for drinks and again for pastries. It's great to support local, independent businesses and hopefully the arrangement is working out well for both of them. There are small tables with stools to sit on around the side of the counter on the way to the gender-neutral restroom at the back of the shop. The tables are a bit small but it leaves a wide aisle and clearly communicates that the building is accessible for folks who use wheelchairs. The hum of the oven fans creates white noise in the background and there is music playing but not distractingly loud. I find it easy to get work done here. There is free wifi, ask at the counter for the QR code or password.

It's not that much of a biggie as long as they have quality bagels and have friendly service. The vibe here is like a small neighborhood spot. I came in one morning before work and wanted to try the eye catching rainbow bagel. I ordered that with plain cream cheese. Just a fun, visually appealing bagel (FYI - the colors do not change the flavors, so it's essentially a plain bagel). I also got a container of their chives schmear or cream cheese because I had a bunch of bagels in my fridge at home. Both the bagel and the different cream cheeses were great. The folks working here are just really friendly, so this is one of those places that I love supporting. Also, there's a good variety of fresh bagels every day as well as different flavored or type of schmears. There's also some breakfast sandwiches for the folks that are more hungry and want all the fixins of a more elaborate meal.
