Cutest coffee shop ever, with dogs welcome! OK, this is honestly the cutest little coffee shop I've ever been to. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the sweetest staff, especially Hannah, who shared the adorable backstory of the place. The owners have a dog named Chai and struggled to find coffee shops that allowed dogs, so they decided to open their own... and that's how Chai Coffee Shop was born! You can definitely feel the dog-loving vibe everywhere, from the décor to the fact that pups are actually hanging out inside. Within minutes, one of the dogs came over and licked my toes (unexpected but hilarious ). It's such a warm, welcoming environment where people and pets can just relax. The ambiance is perfectly balanced bright and social up front, with a quieter, cozier section in the back if you want to read, study, or work. I had the cold brew, which was fully customizable. I told the server I wanted it sweet, and she nailed it! so delicious! I also tried their pumpkin cornbread (not quite pumpkin bread, not quite a muffin, but so good). They even have a secret menu I haven't tried yet, but I definitely will next time. Their espresso machine was temporarily down when I visited, but it didn't bother me at all, plenty of great options regardless and should be back up by Wednesday. Prices are super reasonable and right in line with other coffee shops, but the vibe here is what really sets it apart. It's cozy, dog-friendly, and just genuinely joyful. This place is a hidden gem in Yucaipa. I ordered a 16 Oz Iced Klatch Chai w/ Oatmilk for $6.46. My drink was a little too sweet so I added some water to dilute it. Service is friendly, fast, and efficient. They have specialty drinks with mushroom and Lion's Mane which I'm curious to try next time. Plenty of seats were available on a Sunday around 12pm. Ambiance gives the vibe of a great place to relax. They have comfy chairs in the back. Seems like a good place to get socialize, study, or get work done. Definitely recommend this place. got the seasonal eggnog latte and the pesto bagel sandwich. definitely on the more expensive side, paying ~$19. the eggnog latte had very small hints of eggnog and tasted mostly like coffee, however the everything bagel used in the sandwich was immaculate. the shop has a few booths in the back corner and some regular and high tables in the front capable of seating about 20-25 total. they have free wifi for customers (good study spot). bathrooms are clean and for customers only. dog-friendly as well! read more

Ive been coming to Chai coffee almost twice a month and we are always greeted by their staff very nicely. California St has been amazing. I always get a side of chipotle sauce on the side. The fawn has always been spot on. Although one time it was so diluted I didnt sip on it before driving so I wasn't able to return it. I think that was when they were training someone. All good. Vibe here is chill. I see some people here sometimes work on their laptop. I like to come in here weekdays to avoid the crowds during the weekend. Heading home from Oak Glen apple picking and looking for a non-chain small business caffeine fix for the road. I arrived at 1:30pm (30 minutes prior to closing) and was able to place my order and get my drink promptly. Thanks to the barista for the latte with cinnamon and honey recommendation on a drink as I had never been here before. They also have other flavors you can get like vanilla, hazelnut, lavender, white chocolate, and some others. There is plenty of seating and tables and all the decor is like pug lovers paradise. Pug cuteness overload ! lol Service was super friendly and many goodies to pick from. Pugs and pups are welcome which is a plus for dog parents! Unfortunately no dogs were there on my first visit. This location is conveniently located in Yucaipa's Historic Uptown. There are many small businesses (antique shops, book stores , Yucaipa performing arts center, brewery, winery, cigar shop , and eateries) in the neighborhood worth visiting after picking up a snack and drink at chai coffee! I enjoyed a yummy chai coffee. It was freshly made with a nice homemade taste, not overly sweet! This local business have a vast menu , make sure to drop by and do some pup shopping too. We made a detourl here on our way to Palm Springs. This is not a cafe where dogs readily hang out. Patrons are encouraged to bring their doggy friends, especially pugs. Fortunately, we bumped into a couple with two cute pugs before we left! The is set up for a nice hangout and/or studying. The food was a lot better than I expected. This place is cuuuute but outside brunch felt like a better vibe than inside. The masala chai felt like it was lacking in flavor. Maybe hot would have been better than cold. The food on the other hand gets 5 stars! The fresh bagels were so soft and crunchy and the spicy chipotle mayo was spicy but sooo good. We got an all veggie and the pug bagel. My morning shifts make it nearly impossible to drop in on time, but today I stopped by for the first time! I was entranced by the decor! The person on aux had all the good songs playing and the lighting was dim(perfect lighting.) I frequent the Yucaipa area alot, so I definitely plan on visiting to dine in and draw for a bit! According to my mom, her mandala chai was good! I wish I'd gotten the name of one of the baristas there, they were so kind and it was genuinely such a good start to my day. I came to explore this new coffee shop here in my town of Yucaipa and I found it very cozy and relaxing but what caught my attention was the decoration of the place is about dogs, I found the dog theme very nice, very genuine with photos and merchandise of all kinds but about dogs. The service was very friendly and helpful for being my first time, the young girl helped me very kindly answering my questions about the menu, I liked the menu they have very good prices and a lot of variety of drinks and food, I was really delighted with this coffee shop and I highly recommend it, I felt very comfortable and relaxed and well attended although I asked for my order to go but the time I waited for my food I entertained myself browsing the place and taking photos, I liked that there was a very friendly dog ​​named Abigail I think she belonged to the owners of the place. After a nail-biting visit to our tax lady's office for calculating our annual offerings to the tax gods, a fine cup of coffee was definitely in order. Little did I know that Yucaipa could be a great destination for caffeine refuling, and even a delightful cafe bistro atmosphere as well. Doggie themed, with a particular adoration for Pugs, and extraordinarily friendly vibes that gave us our first clue this little spot was special, we found the inside to have a bright, cheerful interior with colorfully painted wall murals and plenty of cozy seating. A few (obviously) locals, some with their preferred canine companions, were enjoying their coffee. You can choose from keto and gluten free friendly offerings, pastries, breakfast dishes, bagel sandwiches, and of course, a nice choice of coffee drinks, hot or cold. There are gift items displayed, primarily dog themed, from pins and magnets, to pillows and t-shirts. Dogs are welcomed here, even inside, and that made it even more unique. Check out the special dog menu, so you too can let your puppy imbibe. And you cannot miss the strategically placed water bowls. There are two entrances, one in front, looking out on the tree lined, historic main street, actually named California St.. The other entrance is from the alley where you can find additional, and probably better options for parking. Parking on California St. is very limited. Instead of planning a full day in near-by Oak Glen apple country, plan to set aside some time in delightful, historic, downtown Yucaipa. On the same block is a used book store, fishing shop, tons of antique shops. Historic Yucaipa is stroll-worthy, offering fun choices for mom and pop owned businesses and eateries. No doubt there is more, but I was clutching my fine cup of hot coffee and eager to get home so I could brag about not having to pay additional taxes this year. Thankfully, my refund covered the cost of gas to get here. read more
