Typically pretty judgemental about hookah bars, and how they all seem the same, however, this one set itself apart with the service. They have plenty of people walking around, always keeping coals fresh, asking if there is anything you needed, trying to move parties to more comfortable areas as they free up, and really just making sure your experience goes well. They also have dedicated servers to your table in case you were missed by the others. My server, a blonde girl, was extremely friendly, and struck up conversations on every pass, and she was very attentive to keeping the experience going. If I would have caught her name, I'd give her a shout out on here, but I fail to recall it. The trip, and service, made my day much better, after finding out my job was keeping me here, away from home, for an indefinite amount of time. I wanted to find a good hookah bar in the suburbs, so I decided to go to Exhale. I went by myself during the week. They advertise $10 hookah on weeknights. I loved the ambiance, and contrary to many reviews, I think the service was good. I had no issues with the tobacco considering it was only $10. Why only two stars then? I specifically ordered from the $10 menu but when I got my bill, I was charged $20 for the hookah. I asked the waitress why and I was told that I had the premium hookah. I just paid the bill, but I doubt I return. It left a sour taste after a really good experience. I think the wait staff should make it clear what the costs are before you order especially since I specifically ordered from the $10 menu. read more

Let me start off by saying that I have been to many hookah lounges so I know what to look for in a hookah lounge. Came here with a friend on a weeknight and was surprised to see there were a decent amount of people. The lounge itself is very nice and clean and they have great comfortable seating. What made me give this place a less than desirable review was the quality of their hookah. They have $10 hookahs during the week but they use cheap tobacco in these hookahs and I don't recommend ordering off the $10 menu. Just pay the extra $5 and get a premium tobacco hookah (with starbuzz, al fakher, etc.). The waitress informed us that they were out of the majority of tobaccos on the $10 menu so we ordered 2 premium hookahs instead. I don't mind paying extra for quality, but unfortunately I was very disappointed in the quality of the hookah at exhale. Whoever packed our hookah heads and set up our hookah was obviously not trained properly in setting up a hookah. Both hookahs burned out VERY quickly and it seemed because if improper packing. We brought this to the attention of our waitress and her simple answer was "blow in the hose very hard." My friend and I are both avid hookah smokers so we had a good laugh when she told us this to remedy a burnt bowl. Also, as a recommendation to the employees, try changing out the water in the hookah base after each use. This will dramatically make a difference in the taste of the hookah. Try putting ice cubes/ice cold water in the base - this will greatly improve the hookah experience. Another recommendation I have is for one employee to make routine rounds every 15 minutes or so to change out charcoals for customers rather than waiting for the customer to come to you. I really wish this place was a better experience than it was, but it really needs some improvement. read more

first time i've had hooka with ice in the pipe and whoaaa, made all the difference. so smooth and refreshing. the ambiance is very cozy and warm. can sit and chillax for hours. good for groups or an intimate setting. blue mist flavor was the best and only one i remember. read more

We used to live in the area and would frequently stop here if we needed to pick up some tobacco last minute. We have since moved away but were recently visiting friends and stopped by for the first time in a while. The customer service we received was TOP-NOTCH. We were given personalized recommendations and wonderful assistance. Excellent hookah lounge. Above and beyond service. Decor is beautiful and very CLEAN. Definitely something that draws me back here and sets it apart from many other hookah lounges. The staff always strives to assure our satisfaction. I am here almost once a week. Lovely mint tea! We had my friends bachelorette party here and it was nice seeing the weekend scene at exhale with the belly dancer. Chill on the weekdays and fun on weekends. Hookah is always very good. I will never come here again! They are money seeking and it's disgusting and I felt uncomfortable. I said a flavor, she comes back asking about the one that's $3 more, kept asking us for the stuff that was extra but never mentioned it was and we said NO to it all, but that's where they get ya. They charged us for extra smoke? We never asked for it. So pushy and bad customer service, will not waste my money again and recommend you don't either! read more

I've been here several times and have always felt like it was over priced for poorly made hookahs, however this last time I went was my worst experience yet. My two friends and myself ordered two hookahs. One of them tasted good at first but was burnt about 30 mins in. The other hookah had a cracked head that was taped. However, for those of you that know, duct tape does not fix a cracked head. It doesn't smoke well. The management made us a new one after being rude And took the burnt hookah away. We were still charged for both until telling the server to take one off. This resulted in the management making the server cry for actually caring about the customers. Clearly management doesn't care at all. I'd much rather go to Mr. Sheshas in Naperville. read more

People need to know that there is risk in smoking hookah just like filling your lungs with any other type of smoke. They should be required to post a warning outside about the ill effects of smoking (any smoking). Nice layout and decor but overall it's too expensive considering your are smoking flavored molasses. The owner thinks he is a running a nightclub with laser lights and speaker system, The clientele varies but consists mostly of young kids who just recently became able to legally smoke (except here they are just smoking molasses) to mostly middle-eastern people who don't fit in at a traditional nightclub/bar. They go here instead and feel like they aren't doing anything wrong. The servers are nice but the owner is a bit strange at times. For less than what you pay to smoke hookah with your group you can buy the 20cents worth of hookah (not joking they sell it on amazon) and a big hookah itself. In fact they sell hookahs here! Of course you can find them much cheaper online. I can see why it has a low star rating, but don't believe me go see for yourself. read more
