    Wings n fries....consistently good

This spot is normally on point. Good seating area in the restaurant however their outdoor patio is great also. Servers are normally very busy but they get to ya and make good recommendations. The ambiance is cool. Loud and clearly Sox flavored! Ugh!!! Lolol Food is very good. Awesome flavor choices for the wings.

I've been here before but guess i never really payed attention to the details. The chicken wings ( bone in ) are offered in sauce, grilled or dry rub. i ordered the grilled - half Honey Sriracha , half Garlic Hot . Now I've had my share of wings over many years but these are hands down absolutely some of the finest I have ever consumed. Must be washed down with Yeungling, Go getcha some...... Hats off to Crosstown - you have it nailed !

Gotta say, I have driven past this place a million times. Just took a coworker to tell me their boys loved their wings to finally check it out. We came on a Sunday around noon. Walked in and grabbed a table. Took a few minutes to get service but when we did we couldn't believe how fast everything came out. In fact. It was faster than I think any restaurant we've ever been to. Ordered chips+guacamole, and 20 wings- 2 rubs for 3 people to start with. The guacamole was nice and fresh and came with a green tomatillo type salsa as well. For the wings: I did not eat them but my family gobbled them. They charge for the rub, sauce. It's pretty clear in the menu but we were a little confused when ordering. It's $14 for 10 wings and they ordered them breaded. They were a hit because not even one was left. I'm going to take advantage of 1/2 price Thursdays for wings and carry out sometime. The reviews were stellar from the wings eaters. I got the fish tacos. Breaded cod and they give you 4. Way more than most places. The breading in the cod was light and airy. Perfect really. I will omit the sauce next time. It was more like a sour cream topping. Maybe ask for honey mustard or something else. I would get those again and in fact Fridays they have a fish fry. So I'd get that in a snap too. My family loved their food. Keep in mind this place is not fancy. It's a sports bar so if you are looking for fancy, just order takeout.

They charged me $1 to split the sauces, then charged me $.50 per sauce. This make ZERO sense.

I grew up in this neighborhood. So I've seen the changes over the years. Being back in town, I didn't know what to expect... Now I do. The two stars are for the service only. Emily was outstanding. Zero issues with her. But the add ons for everything is not only unappealing, but a factor in not ever going back. I don't know if there is new ownership or management, but the small price gouging adds up. $1 Up Charge for selecting two sauces on an order of 10 wings priced at $19. Plus $.50 for the ...sauce itself? $0.91 Service Charge. $2.00 for an added side a bleu cheese (Plenty of places don't charge for this aka Palmer's in LaGrange.) The wings were good. But not as good as they use to be. Obscene amount of sauce on the garlic parm. A sunday at 4pm, sunny, no wind and 80degrees out and the place had 4 people at the outdoor bar and a few tables of people. $29.18 with tax, for 10 wings, a side of ranch and bleu cheese and an Arnold Palmer. Congrats to the new owners on ending the life of a once was neighborhood staple bar+grill...

I used to really love this place because of the size and quality of the wings. It has been awhile since I was last here but I heard that the wings have changed. They're no longer those huge, succulent wings that would fill you up without any appetizers. They have an 18" pretzel that is good for sharing. Quality was decent. I'll post some pictures of the wings that I had before they changed the vendors. Service was always meh, nothing great. If you do go, make sure you check the bill prior to paying. I believe they add on some extra charges that they didn't do in the past including a 25% tip. I don't even tip 25% at fine dining restaurants. The parking lot can get full and what sucks around this area is that you can't park in another empty parking lot after hours. Don't park in that lot behind the restaurant, otherwise you'll have some shady people put a boot on your car. I made the mistake once and some people came out from behind the bushes. They'll charge you $125 to take the boot off. When I stated there was no sign that said no parking. They pointed at a sign that was hidden from view.

I met up with some friends here on Saturday and I was not impressed. We chose this spot because we thought there was supposed to be live music, but there wasn't. It took about 20 minutes to even get our waters. I decided to get the Saturday special- $5 smash burger- and was very underwhelmed. It was a tiny burger, not a smash burger at all. On the side, I got the Mac and cheese. Although it was tasty, it was absolutely swimming in oil. You know, like what happens when you microwave leftover Mac and cheese at home. other people in my group did enjoy their food. They got the wings which were large and apparently very good. Overall, service was slow, food was disappointing, and the presentation was odd. Everything was served in a really long and narrow dish that looks like it came from the dollar store.

I came here on a Friday evening at around 6pm. It was not busy at the time we arrived so we found group seating easily (seat yourself). The waitress greeted us shortly and provided our drinks. It didn't take too long for the food to come out after ordering. Atmosphere: A bar/pub type casual environment. Good for dine in alone or with a group. Washrooms: it wasn't too dirty but the water was ice cold (not ideal in the wintertime) Food: We all ordered 1 "it's nacho business" ($12) for the table and 10 wings "you build em" ($14) each with different sauce/rub. I wish we had an option to choose 2 different dry rubs/sauces with the order of 10 since there are soo many options & 10 wings itself is filling. For each order of wings, we had to select options 1) naked, grilled and breaded 2) 1 sauce or dry rub 3) ranch and Bleu cheese on the side for dipping *celery and carrots are available for $2 as an additional add on. It's nacho business: The nachos were tasty and enjoyed by the table (5 ppl). A good option for sharing while waiting for wings. Wings: The breaded wings contained a lot of bread so it does fill you up faster. I may opt for the naked (still fried, but no bread) or grilled moving forward. The size of the wings were larger than wings sold at other restaurants. The dry rub will distribute the flavors more evenly or having the wings sauced. I got sauce (parmesan garlic) on the side and I don't think it was a lot to evenly spread on the wings. The wings may taste best dine in. Dry rubs ($2): -Cheesy garlic: this tastes like potato au gratin and the powder is very white (in the dim lighting). -Pizza: it tastes like pizza powder sprinkled on top of the wings (a unique choice but I'd recommend trying other flavors first) -Chiptole: the flavors were savory peppery flavor & had a little kick to it (not advised for those that cannot spicy food at all) -Lemon pepper: Mild for those that do not prefer spicy food. A decent option. Sauces ($3): -Parmesan Garlic (on the side): it tastes like the garlic bread spread. Yum but may be better sauced vs sauce on the side. The options with food and wing sauces/rubs are plenty so I may be back to try other food items or wing sauces/rubs. Not sure I'd make my way out here just for the wings though. Worth a try if you are craving wings and in the area!

Do they have gluten free options? Parents who want to bring their family would like to know that.

Yes, I do the keto diet and my girlfriend is gluten-free. We've always found stuff to order on the menu.

    Is there Sunday night karaoke?

No. That's a great idea, however! And a live trivia night would be a fun addition as well.

I figured their patio is obviously closed until later spring/summer, but I have my service dog with me (I'm here for work) and was wondering if they would let me order inside but sit outside on the patio?

I've seen people sitting outside on chilly days around the fire. I have no doubt they will let you sit outside..

Do they serve all you can eat crab legs?

No not that I know of.. It's a Sports Bar.. Great wings, burgers and beers!

I ordered the "Jane," which is a pretty standard burger with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. It was good overall and cooked well, but it wasn't anything especially memorable or the best burger I've had. Overall, Empire is worth visiting for the atmosphere and rooftop experience, but the food itself was solid rather than outstanding.
