First visit 2hrs, I thought that was ridiculous.spent a lot of time on flossing. Went in a few times. I was surprised it didn't take much time for a Teeth cleaning.I felt like it was rushed.One time Dr asked me what kind of floss I was using, and I said I can't remember. She literally got mad and said in a rude tone,YOU DONT KNOW WHAT KIND OF FLOSS YOU USE! I was shocked. I couldn't remember because I have many different types of floss. I felt like getting up and walking out.i was surprised how mad she got.i have a tooth missing and was hoping to have a knew one out in. Mentioned it before. Dr. Fujii has been cleaning my teeth for 20+ years and I appreciate the fact that she explains the importance of flossing regularly and "how to" properly floss. She's also removed all the tea stains on my teeth and has replaced all my silver fillings over the years. Despite living out of state, I still make an effort to fly to her to get my teeth worked on. Gives me a good excuse to also enjoy the summer in Seattle! read more

D.T. you're trippin'... while I agree with the major plus you mentioned, I disagree with you're implied pseudo racist comment about the "run-down" location. I mean Boeing is practically in her back yard and this is the area you find the best Mexican food in the greater Seattle area. When I think run-down, I think super ghetto hood. South Park's just an industrial area, that's all. Her office is totally inviting and pristine. The receptionist is always friendly and helpful. They usually can fit you in on short notice too. She really went above and beyond my expectations. Remembered even the small talk from the previous visit. The most awesome thing was that I had gotten my wisdom teeth out at a specialist and she called me a week later to ask how I was healing up! Mind you, this wasn't a call to try and secure another appointment, I think she just genuinely cares about her patients. Impressive. read more

Dr. Fujii and her whole staff are wonderful. I had not been to the dentist in over 10 years and needless to say, I was incredibly nervous. First I had a cleaning and Xrays with the dental hygienist, Melanie. She was so nice and patient. She definitely put me at ease and the cleaning was not very painful, they also anesthetize for deep cleaning if you want. Dr. Fujii was super enthusiastic and really nice. I felt totally comfortable with her. She never made me feel bad for not going to the dentist. She talked more about the things that I had been doing right, then anything I had been doing wrong. She told me all the things that were wrong with my teeth and while it was a lot, she didn't make me feel embarrassed about it. I will most definitely come to her again! Also, as far as the comment about her office location, D.T must not know about the South Park area. Her office is super friendly, clean, and colorful. It is in an old house and not run down at all. It is just the neighborhood that is industrial. I live in South Park and feel that a lot of people in Seattle have negative feelings about the area, these are unwarranted. It is not unclean or scary, it is just not as fancy as the rest of Seattle! You won't be disappointed! read more

I'm so glad I finally decided to switch dentists. Dr. Fujii and her entire staff are amazing. The whole experience felt good. It was easy to schedule an appointment and fill out the paperwork. The receptionist was welcoming. My appointment started off with a very thorough examination by Dr. Fujii. She checked my glands, jaw movement, gums, tonsil, and tongue. She pointed out spots I needed to focus on by putting a dye around the area. I showed her how I brushed and flossed and she gave me pointers on how to do it better. I couldn't believe she spent almost 40 minutes with me. I've never had that much attention from any doctor. She really cares about her patients. I mentioned that I was going to have a consultation with an orthodontist for braces that afternoon. She called them immediately after my appointment to coordinate sending/receiving X-rays. It felt like she was there just for me. The hygienist, Melanie also did a great job cleaning, brushing and flossing. Great experience overall. Can't wait to go back in 6 months! read more

When I started coming in to Cloverdale Family Dentistry in the fall of 2011, I hadn't been to a dentist in about 5 years. I knew I had some major work to be done and I was more than a little bit petrified. Dr. Fujii was one of the dentists selected for my Dental Health Services of Washington insurance and was also a preferred Metlife provider through my secondary dental insurance, so she seemed like the obvious choice... but I needed to make sure that she was someone I could trust. After a little bit of Internet searching that yielded nothing but good results, I was sold. Happily, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made concerning my healthcare. Scheduling my appointment was as easy as it was pleasant. Sherri is an absolute joy to speak to, and her upbeat attitude is a rare and much appreciated personality to have in medical administrative personnel. I had no trouble booking an appointment that accommodated my schedule nicely. At my first appointment, Dr. Fujii's dental assistant, Neida, took some x-rays of my teeth. I had forgotten how uncomfortable dental x-rays can be! However, Neida made the process go smoothly and without incident. She gave excellent instructions and really helped ease my nerves with her gentleness. When I finally got to meet Dr. Fujii, I knew for sure that I had chosen the perfect dentist for me. I wondered if I would get a lecture for neglecting my teeth so badly, but Dr. Fujii didn't make me feel bad at all! She just emphasized that she was happy that I was taking care of my teeth and that she looked forward to helping me reach my goal of having better dental health. She was so nice and so laid back, but also extremely professional and knowledgeable. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a trip to the dentist so much in my life! (That day I had a hair appointment at the salon, too, and believe it or not, but I felt better coming out of Dr. Fujii's office than I did coming out of the salon!) Over the next few months, I became well acquainted with the CFD staff as I was in and out every few weeks to have work done on my teeth. I had multiple fillings done, all of which looked great and held beautifully and were minimally painful experiences. She successfully filled in a chip in one of my front teeth- you would never know that I had a piece missing out of it for so long. And, I had a broken molar that needed to be filled, which Dr. Fujii was hoping could get by with just a filling and not require a crown. Fortunately, she was able to repair the tooth with her skilled hands- and she even called me that night to check in on me and see how I was doing, which absolutely floored me. How many times in your life can you say that a doctor has called to check on you? She even gave me her cell phone number in case any problems came up. Her care for her patients exceeded my expectations. I also had a cleaning with Melanie, the dental hygienist, and she was excellent as well. One thing I really appreciate about the dental staff at Cloverdale is that they take the time to explain what is going on during your procedure- they walk you through the steps, explain what various tools do, warn you when you're about to feel a pinch, and always make sure that any questions you have are answered. For the first time, I felt like I was playing an active role in my dental experience. I am extremely grateful for the crew at Cloverdale Family Dentistry. It's a tremendous comfort to know that I have a team I can trust with my health. I'm also very glad to have such beautiful teeth again! :) I'll be a patient of Dr. Fujii's for as long as she's in business- and I'm already sending other members of my family to her. read more

They are all so nice and are fantastic professionals. I have some dentist anxiety, and they have all been so fantastic and never make me feel insecure about this. There's a reason why this place has all 5 stars...Dr. Fujii is amazing! She's so friendly and bubbly and definitely knows her stuff. I get all my cleanings here (they honor Delta Dental) and I recently got a nightguard cause I clench and grind my teeth at night :p Dr. Fujii showed me the one she made for herself and recommended that style to me - it's nice to know she tries all this stuff out first! I had been looking for a dentist since 2000 when my dentist of 45 years had retired. I have found the perfect dentist once again. Being a redhead, we feel pain differently and we require more anesthesia, then it wears off faster than normal. Dr Fujii worked with this and found a way around it, plus figuring out where to put the numbing shots for maximum effect. I have had four visits now and each experience has gotten better, to the point that this last time I went I could actually meditate while I was in the chair between small shots to keep things numb while work was being done. read more

I have never had such a terrible experience with a dentist before. At my initial appointment, the office way over-charged me. Even though I gave them all of my insurance information (and I have pretty good insurance) they said I owed them a fairly large fee. So I paid them, thinking that they must have checked my insurance. But when I got home, I looked at my insurance and it turned out that I should not have paid anything for that visit. When I called them back, they admitted they were wrong and they refunded my money (good thing I double-checked). The initial appointment is extremely LONG! I mean like 2 to 3 hours long. I guess she's trying to be thorough, but come on - I, for one, do NOT want to spend that much time at the dentist's office for a routine checkup and cleaning. I was very clear with the dentist that I would need nitrous oxide during procedures, as I have post-traumatic dentistry issues. The doctor assured me that that would be no problem. But when I came back for my scheduled procedure, they did not have any nitrous oxide at their office. And they told me that, well, I should have known to call them the day before the appointment to make sure they had nitrous ready. Ridiculous! I had a filling put in and they asked me if I wanted metal or amalgam. I asked them what the difference was. They explained that the amalgam would blend in with my teeth better because it was white. What they neglected to explain was that they charge more for it and it's not covered by my insurance (Delta). Overall, this dentist and this office made me feel disrespected and ripped off! read more

Sherri helped coordinate my insurance and we fully utilized my benefits to help pay for all those years of neglect. My smile looks wonderful!
