The Growing Place UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! There's wagons readily available for easy transport…read morefor your trees, flowers, planters. Parking is in the front (sometimes a bit congested) and plentiful in the back (trust me, keep driving). The grounds are organized crystal clear- succulents, perennials, annuals, trees, etc. They are also very well staffed with people who truly understand plants- that's so nice and what they're known for: they truly LOVE plants! Look for the blue tshirts! They're happy to help! I wish they had somewhere to eat on the grounds. Or at least a coffee cart! Sometimes everyone just needs a little snack;) While their prices are pricier, I'd rather support these guys than Home Depot.

I love this place for plants, even though it's pricey. The only odd thing is they charged me for a Calluna, which I had to look up on google. I did not buy that. So check your receipt before leaving the cashier! It was not busy that day (this past Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend) so that's super odd. But it's a gorgeous place to walk and choose plants. They are also one of the few places that still have organic veggie plants in the spring with heirloom vegetables. Their roses are spectacular.

Overall, they are very knowledgeable and thorough . They designed a plan for me and then fully executed . The workers showed up and executed the plan beautifully. Everyone knew what needed to be done and was prepared. Angel , the designer, showed up on site to inspect and supervise . This team is very professional, knowledgeable and well trained . These are not lawn service guys who can also do some plantings for you . They are experts. Having said that , they are also very expensive . The materials and the labor are all expensive . So much do that I had to break my plan into 3 phases . I used a more economical company for a job earlier in the year and felt that company did not give me good advice and I will probably have to re- do that job this summer . With Wheaton Nurseries you will pay a lot , but your project will be well done . I have no complaints about the work or the materials and will look forward to using them again for phase 3 of my project this summer . The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the pricing . I knew I could have bought the plants elsewhere for less .

They were able to deliver and plant (at extra cost) and have 1 year warranty so if they don't work out, it's nice to know they stand behind their trees.

I have to admit, I judged Ollie's before I ever walked through the front door…read more When I hear "closeout" or "bargain" store, my mind immediately goes to digging through disorganized mountains of who-knows-what, wondering if I'll find a bargain or just leave needing a tetanus booster. So I walked in expecting one thing...and left wondering why I hadn't shopped here years ago. The store was clean, organized, and packed with recognizable name brands at prices that honestly made me do a double take. Every aisle seemed to have another great find, and instead of feeling like I was on an episode of Storage Wars, I actually enjoyed browsing. The employees were genuinely friendly, smiled, and seemed happy to help. That alone sets Ollie's apart from a lot of retailers these days. And I have to give a shout-out to whoever curates the music. Instead of the usual elevator soundtrack that makes you wonder if time has stopped, it actually made shopping enjoyable. Then I found out they have a 30-day return policy. That completely caught me off guard. I honestly can't remember the last bargain or closeout store I visited that confidently said, "If it doesn't work out, bring it back." Great prices are one thing, but standing behind what you sell says a lot about a company. The biggest surprise wasn't how much money I saved--it was how much confidence I had shopping there. Ollie's doesn't feel like a place that's just trying to move leftover inventory. It feels like a company that genuinely wants customers to come back. Needless to say, they earned a new customer. I can already tell this won't be my last trip.
