I was so excited to come and try Club 19 for my birthday with a friend the other day. It totally transported me into vacation mode. Not only was I thankful that my friend treated me to a beautiful and delicious lunch, but also I'm just so grateful for the views, service and overall good vibes. Hunter was our server and was incredible. He was helpful and attentive. As far as the food, we started with the soft pretzel and unfortunately it wasn't that soft. It actually seemed a little stale. However, the rest of our meal was 10/10! I got the chicken club, while my friend got the pastrami. Both sandwiches were so delicious and bursting with flavor! I also love that they have zero proof options on the menu. That's always a plus for me. Hunter ended the meal with a complimentary birthday treat and WOW...the chocolate cake was a small slice of pure bliss. I highly recommend it! Lastly, they even have complimentary valet. What started out as a great meal, turned into the most horrific weekend I've had in many years. Let's start out with service, because it was great. Attentive. Fast. On the dot. No problems. Food "was" delicious. Pricey, but you're at the Waldorf Astoria... Then I get home. And I had projectile (redacted) all evening from the time I got home, until about 11pm. I couldn't even hold down water. I was so dehydrated, I would chuck water + liquid IV, and 30 minutes later, I would be praying to the porcelain god. In all my years of life, I don't think this has ever happened (minus infant-hood) I abruptly woke up by (redacted) myself in bed. TMI, I know, but I just need to get across the severity of this stomach bug. The only other thing I ate this day was a bag of sour cream and onion chips my friend got on the course with his hotdog. So that leaves this. I know this is not common here, but I had to be honest with my experience. Other people got burgers and they were fine, so it's hard to pinpoint what exactly it was. I did have a side of Mayo. So maybe? It's now Monday night and my fever has dropped from 101.8 to 99.1. Overall it's hard to say I would ever come back considering the price to food... Club 19 is fun. It's a little obscure. There's a great walk that I do with friends that cross paths with club 19 so every once in a while will finish nice long walk and then, depending on the weather, will either have a salad or if it's cold outside will have a nice cup of soup . I haven't been here in a couple of years actually since before the pandemic, we decided to have a nice 4 mile walk and as we made our way back, we decided to go in and have some salmon cakes with corn relish. The views are spectacular you can never go wrong with that . The service is on point and the food is nice. This is a dog friendly restaurant we park outside the restaurant so we don't valet. read more

Club 19 is always a safe lunch with a great view. We had actually planned to grab a bite nearer the beach but the line was too long so we walked up to the golf course since it was on our way back home. We were able to have a nice view seat. I ordered a Cobb salad and hubby ordered the chicken club with fries. Both were good and filling. On a hot day like today, the shaded ocean breeze overlooking the golf course out to the ocean was perfect. I'd say it's just a tad bit expensive for what you get but you're definitely paying for the view. Again, Club 19 is always a safe bet for a good, casual lunch with a view and since it's next door to us, I'll definitely be back again. read more

This has been our secret spot for some time now, due to the fabulous views, amazing food, great service, best bloody Marys ever, and shockingly reasonable prices. Well apparently the secret is out because their prices aren't so reasonable anymore! They are also more crowded than I have ever seen them, so apparently Monarch Bay Resort finally realized what a gem this place is and started promoting it. Having said that, it is still a great place for lunch/brunch/early dinner especially if you love to dine al fresco and have an amazing view on a sunny day! But you will spend some money here... I had the $25 burger, yeah I know, but you had your choice of sides and didn't have to just accept the fries. I eat a mostly ketogenic diet so I had the burger lettuce wrapped and a wedge salad on the side instead of fries. I was expecting a small version of the wedge but it was full sized! And all very delicious, with generous amounts of bacon both on the burger and the salad. The burger was a double patty with cheese. I had to ask for pickles because there weren't any on the burger, and even the pickles were crisp and crunchy and top notch. Bloody Marys still the best but $19 now! Club 19 is a great restaurant located by Monarch Beach with an absolutely beautiful view of the golf course and ocean. My husband and I were staying at the Monarch hotel and decided to stop by for breakfast. I would recommend sitting outside to make the most of the amazing view (just be careful of the birds that come and try to steal your food)! The breakfast options are filling, and the service is decent. We didn't really have any complaints, probably because we were too busy gazing at the scenery. I would also recommend stopping by at Monarch Beach after visiting the restaurant. It's just a quick shuttle ride away and is a private and quiet beach for anyone staying at the hotel. read more

It has been almost 2 years since I have been to Club 19, but from what I can recollect, it was one of the greatest brunches I have ever had. The photos I have uploaded paint an accurate picture as to what you can expect from Club 19. The food is presented almost better than it tastes. I ordered the egg's benedict topped with crab cakes. The hollandaise sauce was just the right flavor. I loved how the crab cake tasted with the yolk of the egg. My meal also came with asparagus, a tomato topped with some cheese (succulent and juicy by the way), and some freshly made home fries (crisp on the outside, moist on the inside). I remember the meal didn't cost me more than $20 (as most of the other dishes as well) and boy was it delicious. Looking around at the table, I would have been just as pleased with anyone else's dish. Breakfast ranged from French toast, to a fancy version of an omelet. If you weren't quite looking for breakfast, they also have sandwiches and burgers at your disposal. The special of the day was a grilled salmon which the birthday girl happened to order and it looked fantastic. To top off the entire meal, the table shared a decadent creme brulee topped with a variety of berries. Not only is the food fantastic at this place, but the view is spectacular. The restaurant overlooks a vast golf field full of green grass and lakes dispersed all throughout. While our party was waiting for the food, we took a moment to soak in the nice view and snapped a few photos. I don't quite remember the service, but since I was so focused on the food and view, it must have been good as well. Come to think of it, I am really surprised this gem hasn't been reviewed so far. I definitely wasn't expecting GRADE A FOOD at this lunch spot, however, it completely exceeded my expectations and now that I think about it, for a $50 lunch... It better do just that!! After 18 holes of golf, you can conveniently satisfy your HUNGER at this restaurant. It's called 19th Hole perhaps because your mouth could be considered "the 19th hole"... I kid. I kid. We sat down and immediately ordered our food, because we were about cross eyed from hunger at that point. When the server told me that the 1/2 roasted chicken would take about 20-30 minutes to cook, I was insanely bummed, but I was REALLY craving chicken so I decided to suck it up! He told us that he would put a "HURRY UP" not on the order, so we could go back out and hit some balls. Well, if I didn't order the chicken, our food literally would have come out in about 10 minutes (the table next to us ordered at the same time and got their food fast).... But really the wait wasn't terrible, the pretty setting made up for it! The chicken, when it arrived, spoke to me, saying "you're going to like this" and boy did I ever. It was paired with vegetables soaked in "au jus"... And it was just all paired perfectly. Very tasty and exactly what I wanted. My fiancé got the fish tacos, which he devoured and adored... As well as the pretzel bites, which were A HOLE IN ONE order! Ha Ha. He too was extremely impressed with the offerings and was glad we stopped at this little patio restaurant to chow down... We came on a late Friday afternoon and it was pretty dead but we didn't mind. We sat outside and had a great view of the golf course. The waitress was helpful and friendly and prompt. You can't see Club 19 from PCH. We just kind of stumbled upon it, but the restaurant at the clubhouse at the St. Regis Hotel is a hidden gem. Turning into the hotel, follow the signs to the golf clubhouse. Valet parking is convenient and free. The restaurant is called "Club 19". The first thing you notice is the absolutely breath-taking view. Sit in the comfortable inside or enjoy the patio, which we did, protected with glass and warm. Both have stunning views of the course and the ocean. The thing that's most surprising and enjoyable is the wonderful menu and food. It's one of the most creative and delicious lunch menus you will find anywhere in the Laguna area. My understanding is that the new chief, Chris Sanchez is completely reworking and upgrading the menu. From my standpoint, he's hitting the right notes! At the recommendation of our friendly server, Michael Adlama, I had the $12 soup and salad combo with homemade soup, loaded with chicken, and a good-sized salmon salad nicoise. I hate over-cooked salmon, but this was perfect! My partner enjoyed a bacon blue burger with crispy onions. He said it was delicious. They have a full bar and long wine list, so you can really enjoy a wonderful, relaxing afternoon. Ahhh. Club 19 is only open for breakfast and lunch, but I would strongly recommend a relaxing and delicious meal there. It's not expensive and you can't go wrong. read more

I was recommended to this restaurant by my good friend who golfed 18 holes and was blown away by the food and service. Sunday is the day to visit as it seems like there is the most staff and are very attentive to your needs My wife and I arrived on a Sunday afternoon, around 12:30. The initial patio was full but was please to discover that they also had a lower patio with an equally amazing view of the golf course and the ocean. On this day, you could see straight through to Catalina. Our server Sean was very knowledgeable and made great menu recommendations. He ran through their newly seasonally updated menu items which included a Roasted Brussels Sprouts dish, a Kabocha Squash dish, and a very nice Winter Organic Beet Caprese with a goat cheese panna cotta. Honestly, everything he suggested sounded delicious but we had to be selective, but was happy to learn that the Chef has no problem splitting items so that we could taste a few different dishes. The Slow Braised Pork Belly was one for the ages as it was nice and crispy that simply melted in you mouth. It was paired with a Chestnut puree, stewed apples and crispy brussels sprout leaves. Very delightful combination. My wife and I split a coastal salad which was a perfect portion. The star points of celery root, shaved celery, and celery leaf made this salad very refreshing. For our main course, we decided on a local favorite, as Sean described to us as the Best Tuna Salad sandwich in town. This most definitely did not disappoint. The Whole Wheat bread is that made this sandwich for me because of the whole grains surrounding the crust. The pickled jalapenos in this Tuna gave it a nice touch. All in all, highly recommended hidden spot within the limits of the newly renovated Monarch Beach Resort. Locals must take a day to see what Club 19 is really about. read more

We had breakfast here on our stay at the St. Regis. The huevos rancheros were delicious the tortillas were crispy and the chorizo authentic. You can choose the filling for omelettes and they looked nice and fluffy and the potatoes nicely seasoned and a little crispy. Service was good. Definitely will make it back for bfast. read more

A find in the Laguna Beach area for a much better than average casual lunch. One of the best caesar salads ever. The super casual atmosphere gives no hint that a serious chef is at work here. I have had great service at Aqua (when it was there) and brunch at St Regis. I was there on Sunday, Feb 16 at Club 19 on the patio and got FOOD POISONING. I ordered the Mahi (fish) tacos around 3 and started throwing up at 6. It was the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had. I am finally well enough to write this review (Tues night). The service was also terrible. We waited for a table to be cleaned. The hostess said "Of course. Give me 2 minutes" and never came back. Another hostess cleaned our table with a napkin she then placed at my husband's place setting. Then she took my napkin. We later asked for a table that wasn't in the sun (another couple just left) and the hostess said, "Of course." 3 hostesses are now talking among themselves. It turns out this table was promised to another couple. It makes one wonder what 'Of course ' means. I am shocked at our experience at the St Regis. read more

Great place and extremely professional and accommodating staff. I brought my wife and kids here for breakfast. It's a great hidden spot that has amazing views near the golf club house. The manager was extremely nimble with a busy reservation wait and accommodated our family with grace. She was great! Our server was a class act, he typically works the patio and is always on point. The waitress messed up our orders, took 40 minutes to get our bill where we found random items added on the receipt (additional drinks that weren't ordered, salmon on a salad that wasn't ordered, etc.). WORST service ever! That's the reason for the 2 stars. I have had lunch there several times with my daughter & grandson, because it's close to home and we enjoy being outside with the view. The food is pricey, but pretty good. Not enough description on the menu, so ask more questions about what you're ordering or you might not get what you expect. Expect to wait 45 minutes up to an hour for them to get around to serving you the food. We have had to go in and literally ask for them to bring the food out it takes so long. Once it took over 35 minutes just to get the pretzel bites we ordered which definitely weren't worth the wait. They need better management of Club 19's food service. Too bad, because it could be a relaxing and enjoyable experience were it not for the glacial service! read more
