Kudos to a great staff and chefs. Upon entering the restaurant, you are impressed at what seems to be your grandma's kitchen dining area. It's like being in someone's home, on the wall are family portraits. The menu is full of deliciousness. Staff couldn't have been more gracious and accommodating. There was a display case of what looked like luscious desserts. I will come back and just have coffee and dessert one day. Great welcoming bar area. Outstanding bartender, Alyssa. Can't say enough good about this place. I was very impressed.

The Beet Salad is amazing! Fresh, flavorful, and one of my favorite things on the menu. I love supporting this family-owned and operated business in Laguna Niguel--the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Great food, great people, and definitely worth making a trip for if you haven't been yet!

Guys I need everyone to bffr. This place was weird, overpriced and the food was not even good. We went for lunch and paid 19 bucks for eggplant parm that tasted like it was nuked in the microwave. Paid another 21 bucks for room temp/cold lasagna. The proportions were sad and the prices are high. Some waiter man hung up his coat on one of the chairs at an empty table. Then he sat people there. They asked about the coat. He said it was his and then he just left it there???? Such a weird vibe here. I get crispier eggplant at Olive Garden. Also the bread came with no butter or oil. This whole place feels like an after thought.

Breakfast here is always great, finally had the opportunity to bring my hubby and he loved it as well! Ambiance is great, service is awesome and we even got to eat on the patio with our pup! Our server Mara was wonderful.

What an unexpected fabulous find within a small shopping center! I love the intimate atmosphere, the classy-&-comfortable furnishings, and the friendly-&-attentive service by the entire staff. I've dined here for a quiet-&-peaceful breakfast as well as during a couple of energetic and lively Friday night dinners -- with live entertainment. When we'd requested to share a salad, we were impressed how attractively they'd divided each of our plates. To date, of the entrees which (for the most part) we enjoyed, I least liked their Bistro K Sole (however, I should've known better since I don't particularly care for breaded meats. My hubby surprisingly ordered their Coconut cake for dessert (he's not a coconut-loving type of guy); we loved it: so light, extremely moist, and wonderful flavors and textures -- that we ordered it, again, on a return trip! Fun locals vibe!

Great food and drinks with excellent customer service. Ambiance makes you feel as though you're at a family gathering for a nice dinner. Definitely a must go to spot.

We love heading over to our favorite little spot bistro K... The food is always so delicious and the service is amazing . It seems like I always get the delicious fresh meatballs in marinara sauce with tons of fresh Parmesan cheese . They carry one of my favorite wines, Austin, Hope Cabernet. My girlfriend had the lobster ravioli and she said it was delicious . We wanted to sit outside, however it was a little bit chilly . so we got a very cozy booth, listening to all the great music. This is a local favorite that people just keep coming back to . It's a comfort place times 1000.

We were looking for a spot to eat for my wife's birthday and coincidentally found this hidden gem of an Italian restaurant. It was last minute and they were able to take our reservation which was really nice. The other plus was that they had live music, which my wife loves. So it worked out perfect we came here for her birthday. I ended up ordering a special they had for that day which was the Osso Bucco. I will say that it was so delicious and tender. They hit it right on the spot. And the portion was huge. I almost couldn't finish it. All the food we ordered for my wife and kids was delicious. Their service was also on point. I really enjoyed this place, and am happy how welcoming they were to my family and I. I will definitely be back for their delicious Italian food and great service.

The food at Bistro K's is delicious! I had the chicken Piccata tonight, and it was so good! And the service was excellent, as always. They had a solo guitarist this evening, Michael Lucas, and he didn't blast us out with overly loud music. We were able to enjoy our meals and conversation as well as the music. A truly wonderful evening!!

The place is clean, fresh feeling, cool brick aesthetic, and it has spacious booths. The restrooms are also clean, big, and one has a baby changing table. Drinks - there are 3 mocktails to choose from. The one that was most refreshing had boba in it. It was hard to get the boba though as the straw provided was too thin for boba. Food - I ordered the salmon Benedict. I found the side it came with kind of odd: cauliflower, carrots, zucchini, and potatoes. I would have been content with only potatoes. The veggies are a mindful addition but it's not a brunch item for me. Still... I ate them. They were cooked perfectly. The star of the plate: the salmon Benedict. Sauce, egg, and salmon all paired together made for a delicious bite each time. The bread these items sat on... I wasn't a huge fan of it. It brought the flavor down. To wrap up the meal, our server added sparkle to our experience with a kind gesture of a birthday treat. Their ice cream dessert is something I'd order and pay for because it was that good. It had caramel and some type of crumble that pulled it all together nicely. The dessert and service were good enough for me to want to go back and try something else.

We got seated immediately but it was right next to the hostess stand.. which felt like the lobby of the restaurant. Honestly felt like the reject zone. Especially when the pictures in Yelp of the interior looked so nice and had a great view. We had no view. The server asked if we wanted sparkling or still water, I got sparkling and he got still. Turns out they were $8 each.. had I known that, I prob would have gotten an actual drink. The bread was complimentary and that was great, especially since our toddler loved the sun dried tomato tapenade. He also got the kids Mac and cheese, I got lobster risotto, & husband got the seafood orecchiette. Mac and cheese was just average, risotto was a little salty and a bit undercooked. Seafood orecchiette was tasty but nothing I'd crave again. Overall just an okay experience. When we got the check, noticed a 20% service charge and wasn't that happy about it since we only had 3 people, the food was just alright, and we had to sit in the weird lobby-like area of the restaurant. Would only ever come back for convenience, nothing else.

That said, as locals, we likely won't be returning -- and that's a shame, because it is in a nice location. The valet experience was a bit of a stumble right out of the gate -- my boyfriend was directed to navigate between two tight rows of parked cars with no guidance and wasn't given a valet ticket. He had to go back and ask for one. For a resort charging resort prices, that's not a great welcome. The restaurant was also under construction during our visit, which blocked all views of the ocean and pool -- the very thing that typically justifies resort-level pricing. No adjustment was made for this. Then came the bill. A bagel with salmon and a coffee came to $40 before anything extra. Add an automatic 20% gratuity (applied without disclosure to a party of two), $10 for parking, and what started as a simple breakfast crept up to nearly $70. We weren't given a choice about the gratuity -- at that point it's not a tip, it's a mandatory dining fee. Just call it what it is. Has everyone forgotten that gratuity is supposed to be a choice -- based on customer service and satisfaction? Apparently some have. When we brought it up on the way out, the woman at the front mentioned that auto-gratuity is now "the norm" and that tipped workers make below minimum wage. We're in California, where that's actually not legally permitted. Offering misinformation as justification for a policy that removes the customer's choice isn't a great look. We've dined at fancier hotels in the area and have never encountered a surprise mandatory gratuity. The restaurant was also nearly empty during our visit, with mostly hotel guests. If this restaurant wants to attract locals rather than just captive hotel guests, reconsidering these pricing and gratuity practices would be a genuine step in the right direction. What could have been a lovely morning out left a bad taste -- and not from the food.

The parking is definitely limited, as I saw from other reviews on Yelp. On a Sunday evening it was very easy, however. The menu is fairly limited, and I wish they had a few more fish options, though the salmon I saw looked absolutely incredible. I had the chicken caesar salad. The chicken was a large portion, and so tasty. The dressing was SO good. They did forget dressing on both of our salads which was kind of annoying for a simple caesar (so we had to get a side of it). That being said, once we did get dressing, I seriously could've drank the stuff it was so yummy. They also scorch their tomatoes in the salad to perfection. I also tried the crispy tuna appetizer, which was surprisingly different from similar versions I have had at sushi restaurants (not in a bad way). The fish was very fresh and I would order this appetizer again. I think it came with five fairly small pieces (just so you know how many to order for a crowd). If you are feeling dessert, they have an incredible (and massive) butter cake!
