We had a wonderful experience at Lux Restaurant. Even though we came in late, the staff was very kind and accommodating. Our server, Jeremy, was great-professional, friendly, and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious, and the whole experience felt warm and enjoyable. Thank you to Jeremy and the team for taking such good care of us. They can improve with Pizza oven wood fired will increase business ....

Atmosphere was great! Our waiter was amazing and the food and espresso martinis were perfect! I'd definitely come back.

I have been here five or six times now. The service has always been excellent and the food is delicious. The patio is dog-friendly; they even give your dog water if you let them. Very welcoming environment. Highly recommend!

The food and service was excellent. You must try one of their world famous martinis. Beach ambience is fun and great. But the food is fantastic, everything was fresh and delicious. Parking is not to bad with municipal parking close by.

Food was delicious. Came out fresh and hot - important for me! The burrata bruschetta appetizer was *chef's kiss.* The eggplant rollatini was excellent and the penne filleto was perfect. Our server, Ashley, was super nice and helpful! Entire staff was welcoming. Definitely recommend.

This restaurant is a perfect romantic date night spot, we came in to celebrate our anniversary. The live piano on Saturday night was a wonderful touch. We especially loved our appetizers- the burrata was one of the best we've ever had and short rib spring rolls were also delicious! We also ended the night with the beignets which were perfectly sweet and crispy. Our waiter was very sweet and did her job well. Can't wait to go back!

Another place that offers Happy Hour (almost) daily -- and throughout the restaurant, not just at the bar! With "martini bar" in the name, we were drawn to visit. We were fortunate to be served by personable-and-helpful Jeremy at the bar top, who guided us through the menu, making recommendations -- which we heeded... and were not disappointed. Fun-and-open atmosphere, inside and outdoors; attractive furnishings and art work; comfortable, friendly "locals" feel... already looking forward to returning!

This was my first time at Luxe and I was a party of four at 8:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve. our table was ready and waiting for us, we had arrived early thinking we would get a drink at the bar but we were sat right away. I had posted a prior thread about the restaurant on Nextdoor and the owner remembered my name from that post, gave me a hug up on arrival and was very warm and friendly. we had amazing service, very attentive even though it was a busy New Year's Eve night. we got the short rib egg rolls and I got short rib mashed potatoes and broccolini for my dinner and everything was just really fantastic they provided a champagne toast at 9:00 p.m. doing a East Coast celebration. there was a live piano who accepted song requests. I did a very specific song request and she did not know my song but asked for a few moments looked up my song and proceeded to play it and it was fantastic. there's a few seats around the bar so if you want to go for a quick drink I think it would be nice to just sit around the bar area. it was lively dark cool spot in Dana Point and we will definitely be back. I feel like for the amount of food received and the price it was well worth it and just for the warm welcoming environment. I loved that they did not have a prefix dinner for New Year's Eve and you can order straight off the menu.

First, there's the sophisticated bar, which is smoke-free and the perfect spot for high-end spirits and amazing cocktails (The Gov'ner Old Fashioned is a must-try!). The staff are welcoming, friendly, and always smiling! They've started adding some events to the schedule, like Whistlepig/Cigar tastings, Cajun Boil, Macallan tastings, and wine tastings. They're also introducing a late-night happy hour with food and live music, which is a great way to enjoy a sophisticated drink when most restaurants have closed in the area. The second part of the lounge is the two cigar lounges: the day lounge and the VIP lounge, which has lockers. Both lounges have high-end luxury seating and lots of screens for all your favorite sports. The staff keeps the lounges clean with friendly service. At the back, there's a walk-in humidor that's well-stocked with a great selection, including Davidoff, Padron, Opus X, Fuentes, My Father, Foundation, and Placencia, just to name a few. The Winston House stick blended by Placencia is an incredible stick for an exceptional price! Both lounges have a bunch of friendly regulars, so it's always easy to find conversation, or you can just relax and enjoy the moment! This place is a hidden gem that I consider to be the best cigar lounge in SoCal!

Let me tell you- the unplanned is always the best! I had been wanting to try it but knowing the other locations had hard parking, and man oh man, one of my favorite meals and so well priced! 1. Red snapper with veggies and mushrooms. Wow! The fish was so full of flavor even before the sauce, well portioned, well priced. And the veggies were filling and cooked to perfection! 2. Fish and chips - have been on a mission to find good fish and chips- the fish was huge, tasty and meaty! Just a bit oily, but still YUMMY! Service: Corrina seriously is the reason I am writing this review! As I was frustrated with the parking situation by the harbor and just tired, she turned around my mood! She was so passionate and joyful about what she does and the food she serves! And she gave us the lowdown on the whole construction situation in Dana point! Thank you for your amazing service!!! Lastly: the inside is so pretty, inviting, and spread out and clean! Def will be back!! Thank you!

Got the: 1) lobster deviled eggs: 10/10, what sets a great deviled egg apart from mediocre ones is the filling, and the filling was absolutely scrumptious. 3 egg halves came with a lobster leg piece each. 2) crab cake: 5/10, never been a huge fan of crab cakes and unfortunately this did not change my mind either. It was still fishy and we ended up using the lemon for the cocktail shrimp on the crab cakes. Definitely will not get again. It's disappointing as seafood from Hook and Anchor is usually higher quality than this. 3) cocktail shrimp: 10/10, Interesting presentation on ice rather than a glass. 6 pieces of large juicy crispy shrimp with delicious cocktail sauce, and I love that they even added an extra dollop of horseradish because I love cocktail sauce with a good kick! 4) 6oz lobster roll: 8/10, the Newport Beach location gets a 10/10 for me because at this location: - The lobster was not very warm by the time it came to the table. - It looked deceivingly overflowing, but they actually did not fill the bottom half of the roll, so if you stuffed it all the way in, then it was just barely filling the roll. - mostly leg pieces and some of them were on the small side TLDR: great for happy hour (be sure to specify happy hour to the hostess to be able to order at the correct seat) but not up to par to the Newport Beach location.

We happened to stop nearby and decided to look around this plaza. We were starting to get hungry and Glasspar looks like the most appealing option so we decided to check it out. HAPPY HOUR: Mon-Thurs 4:30-6pm, Fri-Sat 4-6pm. Wow what a deal. I normally don't think about happy hour deals on Saturdays but we were pleasantly surprised. It was 5:30pm already so we had to make some quick decisions. Chad was very friendly and helpful with our order. We decided to get a Dozen and a Half Oysters (HH $3/each), an Oyster Shooter (HH $5), Duck Fat French Fries (HH $7), 1/2 lb Steamed Clams (HH $13), and Seafood Poke (HH $12). The specialty cocktails were such a good deal I wanted 2 but asked my boyfriend to order one so I don't look like too much of an alcoholic. I had the White Sangria Spritzer (HH $12) and a G3 (HH $12). Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time and Chad communicated checking on things for us as we were waiting. He was really on top of it. The oysters were awesome! My only regret was not ordering more. For the dozen and a half came with 6 of each of Baracats, Stingrays, and Pacific Plumps. I thought the baracats and stringrays were mild. My favorite was definitely the pacific plumps; it was sweet and creamy with a good bite to it. The shucking was also really well. I just want to give them that credit. The oyster shooter was strong, in a good way. Tasty! The duck fat fries were nice and crispy. It came with a rich truffle aioli. The steamed clams were good, but the slice of bread they gave us with it was burnt to an inedible level. I also would have liked a spoon to sip that garlic white wine and butter liquid. Clams were fresh. The seafood poke came with crispy wonton chips. It was decent. After our original order we decided we wanted to finish off with somethings small, so we got the Clam Chowder ($14). I would have liked it a smidge thicker in texture but the taste and the quality of ingredients are on point. I get the bacon essence and a good amount of clams in the soup too. I'm really glad we added that to our order. I also really like that the check comes in books. Chad told us that we can write a note in it if we want. They look at it like a way to interact with their customers. So cute!! We are DEFINITELY coming back here!! Next time I'll order even more oysters :)
