Not a pleasant experience. The fitter assigned to me seemed impatient as he was tapping his feet and hands as I was hitting (not that I'm claiming it disrupted my swing). I was fitted for a wedge. The following day I went to my local simulator and my swing numbers were better than the club I was fitted for. I sold my new club immediately to try to recoup money. Also, the free fitting with a purchase of a custom club...is not worth it as you are charged twice the price of the club if you were to order it from another retailer. read more

I received a fitting recently from Brad Syslo and Matt from Manhattan at Club Champion for my new driver, 3 wood and hybrid. We discussed set composition first to figure out the correct lofts for the wood/hybrid. Then got down to the club head and shaft combination. It was truly amazing how after they baseline off my clubs, they can optimize the shaft/clubhead combination immediately. Getting down to it, I received a THOROUGH fitting. Brad actually gave a look at the swing to help inconsistent contact for outliers!! We dialed up making sure I was satisfied just as much as they were satisfied with the results. Fitting for clubs is really important, and Club Champ checks the box on that piece--their fitters are generally knowledgeable and can help with club setup. Most disappointing is the fact these guys will lie straight to your face about pricing, and the Club Champ model is to charge you significantly above MSRP in bogus "club build" premiums. When I called and asked about this, I got roundabout answers and after I pushed, I was repeatedly promised to be refunded on the additional charges I unknowingly paid. Spoiler alert, that refund was never made despite multiple in-person and telephone conversations. Plenty of other fitters (ex. Golftec) that won't run you around worse than a used car salesman. Very disappointing and won't be back. read more

I got fitted for irons and woods . The fitter could not get me dialed in on irons so we moved to woods I had some good rips with the clubs so I purchased them although it was about 800 per club . I got the clubs excited to hit them I went out to the range with only those two clubs . I hit over 150 shots all to the left and none to the projections I was hitting at the bay . Thinking it might be the mats at the range I hit the course and played 3 rounds and haven't hit a desired shot yet . I went to the pga store and picked up the same clubs off the shelf and hit them in the bay fine when I got to my custom clubs the left hook appeared again . I've asked for a return countless times and refused just told to come back in , but It left a bad taste in my mouth I never will step foot in a club champion again and suggest you don't as well read more

So I deserve the best fiancé award.... bc this girl bought all custom clubs for her fiancé, including a baller new golf bag lol! But really. My fiancé raved about club champion so I finally sent him to get fitted. He had such a great time and came home and would NOT STOP TALKING about his experience. Finally, months later, I pulled the trigger and spent the money on new clubs. They could have sold me tree sticks and I wouldn't have noticed. My fiancé was more than impressed. He had one concern but his go to guy didn't hesitate to fix it. My five stars go to Brad and Matt. I called CC and spoke with Brad and very much stressed how this was a surprise. I didn't want my fiancé finding out at all. Brad assured me and put notes on the account to not contact my fiancé. He emailed and called me only and it was a success! 10 days later they were ready. When I went to pick them up, I didn't need to even say anything. Matt directly said "You're picking up for Kirk?" (My fiancé.) I was more than impressed at his responsiveness and respect towards a customer. He even offered to bring the clubs to the car for me. READ THE FINE PRINT. The fitting sessions are more of a sales pitch - think about buying a car. Very similar situation. Here's my story: I saw the add for a full bag fitting special for $100. sadly, after finding and reading the fine print, the normal $400 price tag is only reduced to $100 if you spend $500 on equipment. OK, shame on me for not finding the fine print. After seeing this, I reached out to CC to understand what was required, but then never responded. When I went for the fitting, I was told there is the requirement but since I was looking to purchase wedges and I get close, they'd work it out. Long story short, their idea of 'working it out' is me paying the full $400. But wait, that's not all, even though I did not get a putter fitting and the session only went 3 hours, not the scheduled 3 1/2 hours, I was still charged the full $400 when it should have been $325. read more

Had an incredible experience today with my putter fitting with Drew K. Drew was extremely knowledgeable and explained the fitting process and different elements of a putter and putting stroke in a simplistic way. I brought two putters of mine and after checking the data on my swing, realized both putters are completely wrong for my putting stroke. Drew put aside about 6 different putters for me to try. Don't get fooled by this place I went here for a full bag fitting and after receiving my clubs I could not hit them. I am a scratch golfer playing in college, so I take my equipment very seriously. After a week of not being able to hit the new clubs I went to my local pro and he told me the fit was completely wrong, we did a new fitting at my local course and the end result was much better. Not to mention the ridiculous prices this place charges. One of my buddies got fitted for a driver that cost him $1200!! He sold it a month later! Be VERY CAREFUL! Especially amateurs that are not in tune w club fitting - specifically pull shafts. Not only was I put into an Accra shaft which is one of the largest margins they have in a shaft but more disturbing is my new swing coach went to remove my custom shaft for another driver head and found that they used a used shaft. That is so unacceptable and goes to show the average consumer that the equity guys need their margins. So here I am with hundreds into a new shaft to only be tricked into buying what was a used shaft. Disgusting! read more

I've visited Club Champion a total of 3 times, twice for a driver and or irons and once for irons. My first experience was with Nick. I was looking for a new driver, after hitting balls on the Trackman we found I was getting just about as much as I could from my current club so there was no sense in getting a new one. Nick took the time to look at my 3 wood and 5 wood because I mentioned I thought they flew too high with too much spin. He quickly fitted me with a shaft that would knock both the spin and the flight down while adding more distance. I couldn't be happier with those clubs 1 year later. My most recent experience was with Torrey. I came looking for a new set of irons to replace my Ping S55's. Torrey is great to work with, he takes his time and doesn't rush the fitting process at all. I wanted to get the Ping S55's but after hitting all the manufactures we found that my best fit was the Titleist AP2. We went even further then to say well the numbers from Ping and Titleist are close, however, on off center hits the Titleist has better numbers on off center hits, not to mention better feel. I am 100% satisfied with club champion. I'm a firm believer in doing something right the first time and getting what you pay for. You may pay more at club champion, but for someone who will be using these clubs for at least 7 years, it's money well spent. read more

Huge disappointment. Bought clubs 18 month earlier and wanted a 2nd set for Florida so I contacted them in March and just got my clubs today. Yes COVID impacted the process but not all of it. When I first ordered my contact Andrew tried to upcharge me for the same clubs I ordered 1 yr earlier, no fitting need just a reorder. When I called him on it, he immediately dropped the price dramatically. Seemed like they were trying to take advantage of the COVID circumstances. I moved forward because it was the most convenient option and patiently waited but was required to pay in full upfront. Never received any updates but after several emails I finally was informed that my order was in but the clubs had the wrong shafts. Instead of an apology, Andrew suggested maybe I should take the clubs anyways, I tried to just cancel my order at this point but was told I could not, no refund, no discount for losing the entire season just more waiting. I finally got my clubs today a full 6 months after ordering, no apology, nothing. Lots of options for custom fittings so I suggest anyone ready to look elsewhere. read more

Would not recommend. Roger was suppose to be my master fitter. All he did was answer the phone and handle the register. He left me with two other guys that were in training. They seemed ok, but talked to much , and not about my swing. I was , I guess , ok at the end . Was told they would follow up in a few days and would email my results. 4 days later , I contacted them and asked for Roger. I was told he was 'with a customer'. I told the individual on the phone, 'well , what am I? ' . I asked for Roger to call me later in the day. He never did . I called again the next day ,still not in receipt of my results, Track Man Golf. I started to get very angry. Finally at the end of the day, I received my report. I will never return nor recommend this place. read more

i went to club champion with torey for club fitting,after paying 745 and 10 days later. i picked up my custom driver. it was a PING the only brand i told torey i DIDNT WANT! i told him i hated it didnt want it. but was told i was stuck with it. so remember when going to club champion they give you the club THEY want you to have not the club you want. read more

Great staff and knowledgeable about club fitting. I went for a Driver and Iron fitting and found the experience very interesting. I tried various combinations of heads and shafts in an effort to maximize distance and control. A little about me, I'm an 8 handicap who relies on my short game to score. Ball striking has always been my Achilles heel and with the driver I'm dangerous. No idea where it's going most of the time. Actually I take that back, I do know it's going left the question is how far to the left. I'm also a guy of average height and build so I always thought clubs off the rack would work just fine. As it turns out my thinking was way off. I took the club fitter's recommendation (Mike from Club Champion) and ran with it. The results, I've seen a noticeable improvement in my ball striking from the very first swing I made with my new clubs. Never again will I buy a set of clubs off the rack. It's not an inexpensive process at Club Champion but I do believe their experience and technology places them at the top of the club fitting business. read more
