So I really like this little lounge but the ambiance this time when we went just wasn't the same. The service was just mid. Normally everyone is s kind and helpful but last night they didn't seem as happy to be at their job as normal. Maybe it was be it was a totally different type of crowd and music. I will go back because one time out of 4 isn't enough to not give them another chance. The Rebel Lounge is a great little bare bones venue. I saw a friend's band from Seattle there, called Thunderpussy. There is a little parking lot but we ended up walking from Starving Artist across the street. Upon entry they do have a fairly extensive search/review of IDs. Once in to the narrow entry space, you are kind of bottle necked with the merch tables and then the stage is almost right there -- I wonder if they have ever had a different set up there, it doesn't flow very well -- but anyhow.... I cruised over to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks that were heavily watered down -- should have stuck to beer or shots. The servers were pleasant but not overly helpful basically a bunch of rebels, LOL. The sound inside is fairly decent but perhaps the band couldn't hear themselves so they kept turning up the sound! Luckily they had ear plugs at the bar. Also after standing up for a period of time my old legs were getting tired and also there was a wall of tall people standing in front of me so it was hard to see -- I walked toward the back and there were some tables! Yay! Actually it was easier to see the stage from way back there too and there was an open chair. They have a small patio out the back and you can bring your drinks but they are very strict about only cigg smoking back there -- I saw a couple of ladies getting in trouble for smoking weed -- and then after that the security kept coming out there. Overall it is a decent spot to see a low-mid level band, definitely no frills so don't except a red carpet!! I would like to come back for once of their dance nights -- it looks fun. read more

When we got there, it was relatively empty, which was disappointing since the tickets were about $20. Still, we had a great time. The most recent time I've visited Rebel Lounge was for the Cafune concert 10/12/2025! It was significantly more crowded, and given the small parking lot, I arrived an hour prior to doors opening. Of course, this varies by show/event, but in this particular case, I might've been a bit overzealous and could've just arrived 30 minutes before doors opened. Anyway, my bag, ID, and ticket were checked/scanned. There was a water station, and I didn't order any drinks. Overall, fun night! Solid music venue! read more

The Rebel Lounge is a solid venue option in the valley. It's not overly large, has decent parking is easy to get into and enjoy a show. I have only been here a few times, last night to see the band WHY?. The sound was great, the bathroom as multiple stalls and is clean, which i appreciate. They have a full bar and patio in the back you are able to go in and out of as you please. In addition, they have a few tables and chairs sprinkled in the back, though most of the space is for standing room. Tickets are always reasonable for shows and overall solid option for a show! read more

I've come here multiple times for the ghost poetry slams and they are always amazing! There's always a line for checking tickets and IDs, but they don't search your bag. Ticket prices are very reasonable and I like the smaller venue size. There's rows of seats in front of the stage and some standing room in the back. They have a water dispenser and cups sitting out which is really nice. I'll have to check out a concert here sometime. read more

Sunday 1/25/26, paid for 3 tickets to see William Whitmore and never made it to his part because the opening act the Rebel Lounge put on, decided to use his time on stage to attack, harass and berate those in the crowd with differing political ideology then himself, guy's name is Jim Ward. My party let the first comments slide, then after the very next song, he doubled down and proceeded to use vulgar, malicious comments to rile the crowd up more. It became extremely uncomfortable to the point it felt unsafe and as we notified security on the way out, they just shrugged and said he can say whatever he wants and that no money would be refunded. Pretty pathetic excuse for a business to do that and we won't return, ever, and will also continue to spread the word around the metro area. read more

We came to see Alt Bloom and Double Camp on the last show of their tour. Surprisingly, we had been to a lot of the small/smaller venues in Phoenix but not Rebel Lounge. When we got in, we were id'ed and wristbanded for 21+. We weren't searched, didn't have our bags sifted through and didn't have to adhere to the small clear bag policy like other venues require. The room is split into general admission and stage in the front and the bar in the back. There was free water available which never happens at any of the other venues and was super appreciated. Bathrooms were clean and just right off the stage. If you like small, intimate venue shows, Rebel Lounge was an awesome experience. We were so close to the bands and they were super interactive with the crowd. It's a special feeling to see artists that close up and are a real part of the show that you don't get in larger venue or arena shows. We had a great time and immediately started looking to see who else was coming so we could come back. read more

I'm almost positive I've been here at some point. It may have been called something different, I'm not sure. It was small, I mean comparative to other venues. For my experience and show I was seeing it was absolutely perfect. Also, in my opinion, I'd visit this venue before 5 others I can think up in my mind right now. It was a 16+ show and they had it divided in half. The 21+ side was pretty full and I arrived 1 hr after doors had opened. There was no way I'd be close up in getting there "that late" on that side. Fortunately, I'm not a drinker and had no issue remaining on the no booze side. The sound was impeccable. Truly. One might think in a smaller space it may cause distortion or crappy acoustics but that was not the case. I saw the same group out in LA and man, this was night and day. I almost wonder why it could have sounded so terrible at that other show. My experience at Rebel lounge leaves me wanting to keep a closer eye on shows here. They had water out for those of us who partake, I didn't have to bother anyone, although I may bring a few dollar bills just to leave on the bar for the staff when I am back again, because the convenience was one I appreciated. The bathrooms stayed clean, though toward the end of the night only one stall had a few squares of toilet paper remaining. Again, fortunately, the next door bar is closed down so parking wasn't as much of a headache as it could have easily been. Of course there were also those jerks who show up at 10pm and want to make their way to the front, when the peeps in the front row got there at 7pm. A woman with the height of a giant specifically upset me and not because she was going to get in front of me, but because she did express out loud her intention of being 8 feet tall yet wanting to be upfront when she crawled in loooong after the opening sets. Just rude and inconsiderate in my personal oponion. There was another gent who did the same and mustered in front of me with his massive head right in line with my view, mind you I was say, 3 rows back. I was polite and addressed it appropriately, mentioned that what he did was a bit rude and that I heard him shouting his neighborhood but that I got there early for my place. He magically disappeared at some point and I was able to invite the kind lady who he also got in front of. Yay, I've learned to problem solve using my words! There was dancing and singing. All of the staff I interacted with were extremely nice. Specifically the 21+ wristband checker and door folks. It was a magical evening indeed and I will definitely be back for more when I see something that peaks my interest. I also heard they do have a back patio area, although I didn't get a chance to check it out. A friend had mentioned being out there for a smoke, so for the smokers, there is a place to step out to without having to regain entry. read more

Another trip for Gimme Gimme Disco only. This night was HOT outside. The venue was packed on a Friday night. I can't believe how many young people love ABBA and Disco music! It was nice and air conditioned in the place though. The female DJ played from 9pm-1am which is 4 hours and that was 1.5 hours more than Gimme Gimme Disco usually plays. I enjoyed my trip from L.A. this time. I'm looking forward to returning in late fall or early winter the next time I visit, it was just way too hot this night. Not my favorite venue, but really enjoyed the show. However they did seem to have a lot of technical difficulties I'm pretty sure due to the venue or the set up. They made it work though. Not a huge fan of the all ages area, as if you want to have a drink it forces you to the back vs being able to be up front. read more

This gem was a real surprise. It's tough to maintain a dive bar vibe while doubling as a concert venue, but Rebel does it. Great drinks, rapid service, clean bathrooms, and just the right size to "pack the house" but not to feel overwhelmed in a sea of people. Recommend! read more

Charming and small concert venue that lets you be upfront and close to the talent! This lounge opens opportunities for music lovers under 18 in a city where many close their doors to those under 18. Rebel had a separate area for those who consume alcohol. They checked IDs before entry and provided wristbands for designation. The concert floor is standing room only. Because of my disability, they were gracious hosts and got me a chair in front of the stage. They warned me about the volume. I came prepared with headphones. The sound system blasted. The crowd was energetic and responsive. We enjoyed the whole Sundressed Line Up with Danielle Durack, Sydney Sprague, Fever Joy, Bear Ghost and Sundressed. It was a terrific concert! I've gone to Rebel Lounge for about three events and they all had completely different vibes and demographics. The first event I went to was AZ Special Tea's 21+ K-pop Night where they had a DJ playing the coolest K-pop songs. I was dancing with my friends and made a lot of new friends as well. The fandom made the rather small, intimate venue really special and fun. The second event I attended there was a concert for Meet Me @ The Alter, a three member "girl band" that I'd been listening to for a while. Since the venue is general admission with an area designated for drinking, I remember having to ask the people around me to hold my spot so I could buy and finish my drink in the back. Oddly enough, I was able to get a new spot in the front middle and make a hand heart with the lead singer, Edith Victoria. The third, and most recent, event I attended here was Emo Night. This event is usually either hosted at Rebel Lounge or Nile Theatre and I'm glad I went to my first emo night at Rebel Lounge. Much like K-Pop night, there was a DJ playing fan favorites from the emo, pop-punk and post hardcore genres. While the crowd wasn't as friendly and sociable as K-Pop Night (lol) it was still a good space. The outdoor patio was full of people cooling off from jamming out to their favorite songs in their black, layered clothing. The events were all vastly different, but the service and quality of drinks stayed the same. I always get taken care of by the bartenders and the drinks are always delicious and refreshing after all that dancing! I usually come around the location for the dance studio across the street, but I can't wait to visit this wholesome venue for more events. read more

We went to check out an event night called "Sorry for party rocking" which was all 2010 to 2015 pop and EDM hits. THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT! They gave out free light up bars for everyone to play with which boosted the atmosphere. Would definitely go back for another fun concert or event! read more

BOOKING AGENTS BEWARE: The staff at The Rebel Lounge (with the exception of the bartenders) is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I attended the Young and Out of Love Tour last night, which drew a crowd of teens, families, and friends supporting up-and-coming musicians. Rather than fostering a welcoming atmosphere, the hostess, bouncers, and staff were unnecessarily dismissive and rude toward the parents in attendance. This is a small venue, which could have made for an intimate and enjoyable experience, but the poor treatment from staff completely ruined the vibe. It was absolutely ridiculous and showed a complete lack of understanding of the audience. If you're planning a show, consider a more professional and accommodating venue like The Crescent Ballroom. They understand how to treat both artists and guests with respect. Skip The Rebel Lounge--it's not worth the hassle. read more

Got to see Kailee Moore at The Rebel Lounge, flew all the way in from Reno, NV. Cool venue which accommodated for all ages. The security did not mess around to say the least. Bartender was pretty cute, she was in a band. I sat and bullshitted with the bouncer for awhile too. The Rebel Lounge will forever be my first impression of Phoenix, AZ and who knows, maybe some day I'll be back! Very cool spot. read more

For a smaller music venue, I like this spot. I've seen national touring bands as well as local here, so the crowd size varied a bit, but in both situations I had a good experience. The sound is pretty nice here and of course you can be decently close to the performers. The space is clean and open, there are a few tables in the back by the bar but if you need some space there always seems to be room to step back. There's a smaller size patio outside if you really need some fresh air. A couple of arcade games in the back corner. Bathrooms are good for a music venue and near the front. They also have a jug of ice water on a table available near the front of the bar, which is super nice and helps for those who may be underage at all ages shows and couldn't ask for water at the bar. All ages shows do have separate sections divided by a gate, but it's understandable. I'm 21+ and didn't have a problem with the set up. I didn't think it was too distracting or unfair when I was in there. But that's just me. You can't take drinks to the bathroom if you're over 21 which isn't a big deal, just be aware you have to stay on the side/back of the venue in this instance and either finish your drink before you go or have a friend hold it. Bar is a good size and I've always experienced quick and friendly service. Nice selection of local beers. Reasonably priced for a music venue bar. I'd recommend checking out a show here, especially if you really like the band! read more

Very cool venue. Death metal is my thing, and I have seen a lot of shows in a lot of great venues, but this last show at the rebel lounge was honestly the best show I've been to due to the size and sound quality. Drove all the way from Vegas to see the show and I was a little nervous about the area and venue but it was great all the way around. The staff was patient and friendly, as were the bartenders.
