The owner introduced himself, shook our hands, and came back twice to check on us. When I went inside to use the bathroom the inside the seats were full and a host directed me there. Enter David's Kitchen & Bar, opened for a little over a year now at 1020 Ohio Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45245. My daughter joined my wife and me on this visit, and while there is a kids menu, she opted for something more exciting and went with the crispy chicken sandwich topped with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pickles on a potato bun with a loaded baked potato on the side ($15.69). Nothing too out of the ordinary, but a solid chicken sandwich and potato. My wife ordered the tender basket with fries ($13.99), which featured hand-breaded and fresh tenders that were really good. Their fries are also hand-cut and freshly fried. Good stuff! I enjoyed the grilled chicken balsamic sandwich topped with balsamic glaze, pickled onions, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and a mozzarella cheese melt served on a potato bun along with a small garden salad on the side ($15.69). I think this was the star of the meal. The balsamic glaze combined with pickled onion was outstanding!

This place is an experience! My bff lives in Florida and every time she comes in town she has to have dinner here at least once during her visit. The bite flight is a great starter. The salmon is amazing, gator bites, salads, sandwiches. Seriously, everything is absolutely delicious! And it's a BYOB place which is great. Seating inside and out. Service is always great. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough. You can thank me later!

So I'd rate this establishment a 3.5 but I'll round up to a 4…read more The family and I came here for dinner on Saturday night and we had a really nice time. Bite has been on my husband's list for awhile because he's all about local small businesses. Any who, here is what we ordered.. Blue crab smothered fries 7/10 - So I don't know if they used fresh blue crab or in a tin, but nonetheless this was fairly good. Quite an innovative plate I would say.. I didn't know what to expect, maybe something more like a poutine...? The flavor of the blue crab and shrimp were seasoned very nicely. My only two recommendation would be... 1) they should make their fries fresh in-house - I could tell these were frozen fries and then 2) I would have like to see the "smothered" cheese/sauce be thicker because it was quite watery. Chicken alla vodka 6/10 - The crispy chicken cutlet was very good! Probably the best part of the dish. As for the vodka sauce - I thought that this was just okay and possibly its just my taste preference. There was a heavy taste of possibly too much cream? Or maybe even sour cream? I can't put my finger on it.. I don't know if it's me (it probably is), but I tasted even a hint of mustard...? Anywho... this dish was okay, the chicken really saved it for me. I recommend that they should do grated pecorino vs slices only because the cheese would be even distributed throughout the dish. The vodka pasta tasted better the next day as a leftover because I put a ton of parmesan cheese. Blueberry maple salmon 9/10 - My husband ordered this dish and I would agree that this dish was the winner of the night. Another innovative dish for a quaint local establishment. The salmon had a real nice crisp, cooked perfectly to medium, and there was a really nice smokey taste to the salmon. Overall a good dining experience - definitely small recommendations on a couple of the things we ordered on execution, but nonetheless we'd come back here to support.

Affordable, Speedy Service, and Relaxed Atmosphere…read more What a wonderful surprise! My friends let me choose the somewhere we went and I chose here. One friend got the buffalo mac, the other got the teriyaki chicken with rice and broccoli. Both were very happy with their orders!! I ordered the teriyaki salmon with a side house salad with raspberry vinaigrette and mac n cheese. I'm not a big vinaigrette girly, so I'm not sure what came over me to order it, but it was DELICIOUS. 0% bitter and the slightest hint of sweetness - I was in love. The salmon was cooked wonderfully and the glaze had a sweet hint of something that I couldn't fully pinpoint (pineapple chunks, perhaps?) The mac n cheese was the low point of my meal and not even because it was bad...just because it wasn't anything to write home about. I totally will go back and it was very much worth the visit!! **can't remember how allergy friendly conditions were for the meals. Double check their menu before you go!

We were fine to wait a few minutes though for a table. Once seated, we tried to order drinks. Someone from my party tried to order a French martini, and we were told by the our waitress that the bartender could not make. They gave us no reason why. She then tried to order an espresso martini from the menu, and we were told that they were out of espresso. Lastly, she ordered a cosmopolitan, which came out light pink and tasted nothing like a cosmo - we all tried it. So the drinks already left us a muffed. We then ordered appetizers, and made the mistake of not ordering our dinners at the same time. The appetizers, which was the spinach dip and buffalo chicken dip, came out not too long after we placed the order. They were hot and had good flavor. The spinach dip was cheesy and had good texture, and the buffalo chicken dip was not overly spicy. We were glad to have these, as we then had to wait over an 1.5 hours for our dinners. By the time our dinners finally came to us, some of us were not even hungry anymore. During this entire time, our waitress probably checked on us twice and we had to ask other people for refills on our waters. I enjoyed my simple salad, but was told that some of the sides others got came out cold and the only burger our table ordered came out over done. At the end of all of this, our waitress then gave us the wrong bill, which made us wait even longer for her to come back to give us the correct bill. We were a group of 4, who all got drinks, appetizers, and meals, and we were given a bill with two meals and kids chicken tenders on it. Overall we had a less than great experience this Monday evening. We left under-satisfied and way later in the day than we originally planned. We felt the service was greatly lacking and the food did not make up for it. While we really wanted to like this place as the vibes are nice, the menu has many options for all eaters, the regulars at the bar looked happy and well taken care of, and the patio is huge, we did not and will not be back.

This place has tons of parking which is free. The pricing for mini golf was really good better than anywhere else - unlimited and two different 18-hole courses (I will say the courses itself could use an upgrade - new paint or adding some objects to the course to make the established holes a bit more challenging. We paid 9 dollars per person. The driving range was also pretty cheap for buckets of balls - it would be a fun afternoon to bring the dads for driving range, the kids for mini golf and the moms can eat food and hang or enjoy the range as well. The food looked good, but we did not partake - the drinks were decently well priced - a can of beer 3.50 - a sway was 6 bucks. They have free concerts every now and then at their art installation, which is pretty cool, I also think it's cool how they do 5 buck Mondays. The staff was nice enough, my only complaint is the grass was a little overgrown, so we got ate up with chiggers and skeeters.
