Our only "offense"? Politely asking the trainer and manager not to pressure us into lifting heavier weights or making modifications we weren't comfortable with. Rather than fostering an environment of respect and individual growth, they chose to remove us entirely instead of finding middle ground. When we voiced this concern, the manager's only response was: *"Do you not want us to talk to you?"* That was the extent of the solution offered--no conversation, no compromise. Meanwhile, trainers repeatedly called us out on the microphone during workouts, creating an unnecessary distraction that took away from our focus and enjoyment. Ironically, the first trainer we met understood us immediately. She reassured us, saying, *"You guys know what you're doing. We won't come around and correct you."* So why was that respect not extended across the entire staff? To be clear, we loved the workouts and expressed this to management. Yet, it seems that didn't factor into their decision at all. Fitness should be about progress at one's own pace, not being forced into someone else's idea of intensity. If you're looking for a place that respects individualized goals, this may not be it. On top of that, stretching--an essential part of any workout--feels like an afterthought here. Instead of properly guiding members through cool-downs, trainers cut the session short to pitch their products, leaving many walking out without stretching at all. I also had my insurance card (showing both our names) and my ID available, but that still wasn't enough. To add to the frustration, when I tried to talk to someone higher up--like the owner or a manager--to get some common-sense resolution, I got absolutely no help. It was like talking to a brick wall. And to top it all off, they don't even offer a veteran's discount, which I find unbelievable in this day and age. I'm only going to this gym because of the insurance rate, but the sheer lack of common sense and customer service has left me really disappointed.
