There's a cubby to store your belongings and shoes before heading inside the studio. So far I've taken the classic with Courtney and the define class with Lori. The classic class is a more traditional barre class focusing on those movements while the define class focuses more on building strength and uses dumbbells. Both instructors are great since they make sure your form is correct and spend time demonstrating the exercises. I've taken barre before at Lifetime, but I've really been liking the formats here much more. If you are new, make sure to stick closer to the front so you can see yourself in the mirror. Also, don't forget to bring your water bottle, towel and grippy socks!

After moving to South Carolina, I wasn't working out as consistently and had lost quite a bit of strength and muscle. Pilates has helped me build that muscle back, and I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident. Ikelle, Noelle, Aly, and Lindsey are all wonderful instructors. They each bring something special to their classes, but Ikelle has been especially instrumental in my progress. Joel's teaching style is patient and kind. The classes are so small it feels more like physical therapy or personal training rather than group fitness. My aerial class had 3 other students and my mat Pilates class had 2 other students. I would be a regular if I lived in the area!

They put me through the paces three times a week in a trio setting. The instructors work with students of many levels at once, so each participant gets a workout on their own level. My husband trains with me two times a week. Any infirmities we are blessed with are always taken into consideration with special modifications, so don't worry about aches and pains. The atmosphere is pleasant and encouraging at all times, with a variety of apparatus to make the workout interesting. The result is improved strength, endurance, and flexibility.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I wish I had read the reviews before I signed up with…read morethem. I was incorrectly charged $110 by Crunch Fitness in Athens, Georgia, in March. After reporting the issue to my trainer, he acknowledged it as a mistake and advised me to dispute it with my credit card company. I did so, but Crunch Fitness never responded with the required information so the charge was not reversed. After this, I was charged an additional $110 two more times, bringing the total incorrect charges to $330. Despite repeated attempts over the past three months, everyone at the gym has acknowledged that a refund is due, but no action has been taken. I have been in constant contact with a member of management for weeks. I've also requested the contact information for the GM/Owner who is apparently the ONLY person with the authority to issue refunds and have been denied this information. He's been telling me for 3 weeks now that said person is working on refunds. Yet I still have nothing. Withholding a refund for money you acknowledge was incorrectly charged if blatant theft in my opinion.

Communication with members was almost nonexistent, whether it was about the water being shut off, the showers having little to no water pressure, or other important gym-related issues. The previous owner also failed to maintain the facility. Broken equipment often went unrepaired, machines weren't greased or properly maintained, and issues with the showers, sinks, toilets, and the steam room in the men's locker room were left unresolved. About two or three weeks ago, new ownership took over, and the difference has been incredible. The new owner has already made a noticeable impact by quickly repairing broken machines, replacing some with newer equipment, and addressing long-overdue maintenance in both locker rooms. I'm genuinely impressed with how much the new ownership has already improved the atmosphere of the gym in such a short time. It finally feels like the facility is being cared for again, and I can't wait to see the improvements that are still to come.
