As far as the other 1 star rating regarding billing, BODYBAR is no different than any other gym with it's billing policies. Simply give the 30 days notice required, and billing is stopped for the next payment. I discontinued my daughter's membership and it was as simple as that. They also will conveniently put your membership on a temporary hold if you have a circumstance that might prevent you from coming in for a while. I love the teachers and would highly recommend this Pilates gym to anyone wanting a hard, great workout!

I almost couldn't hold in the laughter. Always happy to donate to a local charity I suppose. This franchise will never even be a consideration for me in the future. Also, they have staff in this bldg 3 days a week for just a few hours at a time, so when you need to cancel and it HAS to be done in person, you'll have to carve out some specific time in the schedule to go have your money stolen. I feel strong and energetic like never before! I am one of those people that just went to the gym to keep active, but that was just not working for me, because I would not find motivation to continue or to challenge myself. Now I have found my place! and a new juicy routine that challenges me every time I walk through these doors. I love the barre classes as well as the TRX, although barre is my favorite. I also had the pleasure to meet many of the instructors: I LOVE THEM! They are extremely supportive, generous, and always in a great mood. Their extensive knowledge of muscles and specific workouts makes me feel safe and at ease in each class. They are marvelous people who care about their clients and strive to deliver the best experience, while having fun. This was a game-changer for me. I go 4-5 times per week, and I cannot stress enough how much I have grown stronger physically and emotionally. I really need to spend more time here, but I at least try to make my commitment to attend the weekly Tuesday evening Pilates class. The instructor is great; she kicks my butt every time. And as a result, my core muscles have improved greatly from my lethargic sedentary lifestyle of a few years ago. I also occasionally use the media room treadmill and watch movies on the huge screen. And the hot tub, sauna and steam room are great for a sore bod. I still have the gut to prove my love of food and beer. But I can carry it with pride knowing that there are some stronger muscles underneath that will help me keep moving into my 60s. I can highly recommend this nice, clean and professional gym in North Bountiful.

The only time I haven't been a member was when I was away at college. I even worked for skills for a year. It's my favorite gym in the world, but with the new ownership things have really gone downhill. When I used to work at skills we cleaned the bathrooms every shift. Now I'd be surprised if they are cleaned once a week. The bathrooms are absolutely nasty. And with the new ownership they've switched to a system where someone is only manning the front desk for a few hours a day, meaning no towel service, no help with memberships, no movies in the cinema room. The cinema room has been turned into the spin studio meaning no more working out while watching a film. The yoga studio was torn down and made into some weird stretching space. Buttons on machines are broken and will go for months without being fixed. And forget using the hot tub or sauna -- they are always broken. The class schedule used to be packed during the morning and evening, now there's only one class offered during the evenings most nights. And while everything has changed, prices have gone up a few bucks -- which isn't a big deal, but I paid for what skills used to be. I used to love skills. It was a great local gym with the best amenities, equipment, and classes around. But it's turned into a sad shell of its former self. I've cancelled my membership and switched gyms. I hope they can turn skills around before it's too late.

Enter through the double doors; take the stairs up; and then make a left. There are storage caddies when you enter the actual studio. They sell cute things near check-in area (clothes, stickers, cups, etc). There are different workout rooms, showers, restroom stalls and lockers. The place is clean and bright. The room was clean; the training video was straightforward to follow; and it felt more intimate/private, which was nice for me (working out in solitude, lol). The temperature was 123 F, but bearable. Keep in mind, customers won't actually see the "red light", but the infrared is still emitting wavelengths without the visibility of the light we're used to seeing. The owner was extremely informative and gave me a quick tour of the place. It has about 8 rooms (I think) with different types of workout sessions. In the back, there's an open gym for members with two restrooms. There's a shower inside the restroom. Members access the place thru a # pin/app in case staffs are not present. Ample parking in the lot. I'll definitely consider coming back to sweat out in other sessions.
