I've been coming to this Pilates studio since 2021 and it's been such a great experience from day one. The space is always clean, the equipment is up-to-date, and you can really tell the owners care about their members and the overall vibe of the studio. I've taken great classes with George, Maria, Dawn, and Christine based on my schedule, but all the instructors are very knowledgeable, encouraging, supportive. They're invested in helping their members feel stronger and healthier. The front desk staff also deserve a shoutout because they're always friendly, helpful, and accommodating, I'm really grateful to have found this studio. Excellent pilates studio! Nice and clean, pleasant atmosphere and decor. Filtered water cooler for your bottles, disinfecting wipes are available up front and a cubby shelf area by the door for when you remove your sneakers. You definitely need to wear grippy socks when doing all the movements during class. My instructor Michele was excellent! She never made you feel uncomfortable, she used her arms and body to constantly demonstrate and would go around gently correcting people who needed to correct their form. Her workouts made you use those muscles you never even knew that were there! I saw two people up front, maybe they were the owners, idk, but they were constantly watching you and it was a little annoying. The female receptionist up front was a little grumpy. The highlight of this place was the studio and the instructor, Michele. Prices are expensive, plus there's a $99 one-time enrollment fee on top of the high prices. I wish they can offer coupons or promotions a few times a year to make doing pilates more affordable. I'm definitely a fan of pilates, but hey lose a star for those grumpy people up front and those high prices, I may try to find a place that offer less expensive options. read more

I found these con artist through AARP. I am 67 years old and they ripped me off for over $400. Every time I tried signing up for classes they could not accommodate my schedule or they were over booked; so I had to be put on a waiting list. I was not able to take one class the entire time. I cancelled the contract immediately within two weeks and never received a refund. That is how they treat seniors in our community. They were very rude and annoyed having explain to me anything about the Club, classes, level of classes or any rules. They have no heart, they just want to steal little old ladies money. Really greedy owner with no morals or compassion for elderly people. Shameful. read more

Beyond inefficient system. Good luck booking a class on the app. About 90% of the time you will be on waitlist for classes. And when you take yourself off of a waitlist, it will not completely do it on their end and book you (on the rare chance the class even has space) There are late fees (if you come in past 5 minutes) and membership freezing fees. Your credits do not roll over to the next month which doesn't make any sense if booking a class is a hassle itself. I had to constantly look at the app to check if I was closer to getting taken off a waitlist for almost every class. This is my last month here and I haven't been able to get a single class in for the past two weeks even after waitlisting myself for multiple classes per day. The app glitches as well and takes you off the waitlists and the workers call you 30 minutes prior to a class saying they noticed you were on the waitlist and ask if you still want to join. I mean seriously? Not everyone is in Pilates gear 24/7 and lives 15 minutes away. For over 200 dollars a month for 8 credits/classes, I would rather go to equinox. read more

Decided to try the new Club Pilates establishment in New Hyde Park located in the shopping center of Smashburger, Chopt and Papa Ciros. Parking can be crazy during lunch hours so give yourself your time. Club Pilates offers a free 30 minute intro class to get brief taste of what club Pilates has to offer. The studio is super clean and beautiful. See picture attached for all the reformers! I was greeted by the owner Michelle and asked to sign a waiver. If you have grippy socks, you must bring them. It is a requirement to wear these socks when participating in class. If you do not have them, you must buy them. The cheapest pair is $15. There are cubbies to store you belongings as well. I don't know if there are showers or what the bathroom situation is because I did not get a tour upon entering. I had Amy as an instructor. She was more than wonderful! She introduced the reformer and all the equipment prior to class and made the whole class feel comfortable. I would love to take her class again. The intro class showed you a little tid but of class. You will not work up a sweat at all. I wanted to try a real class to see what club Pilates class offers and a drop in class is $35. The earliest class is 730 AM and the latest class of the day is 730 PM. There are reformer flow, reformer plus, cardio sculpt, control classes in the schedule. Packages are 4, 8x or unlimited with at least a 3 month commitment. Prices run $109, $199, $229, respectively. It is a big commitment so if you love Pilates then this is a cool studio for you. I just can't wrap my head around paying $229 dollars a month for one studio. Update: it took a decent amount of time to get a reimbursement from a cancel class (I cancelled over 24 hours in advance). So just make sure you follow up if you don't get reimbursed if you book on your own. read more

I'm a practicing physician and I Joined club Pilates at New Hyde because of the back pain. It took me sometime to realise that most of the instructions didn't have enough professional skills to help me with my problem. There was only one instructor who really knows what she was doing. On top of that the owner who was very helpful in the beginning turned his back when I was trying to address this issue. As I said I'm a busy practicing physician who provides customer care on a daily basis. The way I as customer was treated very unprofessional. Bottom line if you want just to spend time without getting full benefits of Pilates new Hyde park location is for you. However if you looking to strengthen you back look for other places. read more

Although, I usually like coming there and the staff is nice enough. Every class I've been to there are people coming in after five minutes; however the one time I came in 6 minutes late I was not allowed to come into class. I understand having a policy and not being allowed to come in is one thing, but when I've seen it several times happen during the classes I've been to, it's hard not to take it personally or to not get upset. If you're going to have policies, it should be for all people. It's not a good look. Just saying. read more

Great studio great staff great management this franchise location is so close to home it doesn't get any better. They have Teacher Trainings. One coming up winter 2018 sounds interesting. Merchandise is pricey but that's fitness today innit? I used to get a "leotard" for half the price of grippy socks today (dating myself). This is by far the worst Club Pilates location. Dawn is not a good instructor and this is evident because not a single one of her classes are ever full. I was once in a class and there were 5 empty reformers, that must be a record. She "trains" from the reformer, the lady never walks around and assists people, it's actually insane and she seems very unfriendly. Don't get me started on Zenia either, she teaches class as if she's teaching children how to stretch for the first time. Who owns this location?? It needs a MAJOR revamp. The ONLY locations I would recommend to people is the CP in Melville and Syosset. read more

Thanks to Maria and Susan that I signed up with Club Pilates since September. I enjoyed coming to classes with different instructors (Maria, Marjorie, Terri, Dawn). They have different styles of teaching and they make it fun that you keep wanting to come back. As Marjorie said " if you want to have the beach body for next year, so let move." LOVE THIS PLACE!! But cant get into a class. Every class I look to book had a waitlist....I even saw 8 on a Wait list?! Sorry but that's crazy. I use to do pilates for years and never had trouble getting into a class. I guess since it's so great they are booked solid but it's disappointing and has deterred me from joining a monthly membership. Why pay for "X" amount of classes when you can't even get in ?!! First, I tried the single class and I love it. Then I decided to enroll for 4 classes every month for 3 months. When I enrolled I made it clear that I can only come on Thursdays at 3:30. The lady I spoke to on the phone said "sure"! I thought I was enrolled for 3:30 on Thursdays. To my surprise, I didn't know that you have to book your class on your own using their app. It took me 2 weeks after signing up to realize how the app works) Unfortunately, the 3:30 class on Thursdays are always booked. I asked Ms. Caitlyn that I still have 1 credit for the month but the app is not allowing me to book another class that I like and she told me that if it's beyond your billing month your credit will automatically disappear. I absolutely love this studio! It is very clean, plenty of reformers, the staff is great and the instructors are amazing! The classes are never the same so they're never boring. I have lower back problems and pilates has definitely helped and since I joined, in July 2019, I see and feel a difference. My core is tightening and I've gotten many compliments on weight loss. When I first decided to try Pilates I knew very little about it. I was quite apprehensive about whether I could even do it. I'll be forever thankful that I had Dawn as my instructor. At Club Pilates right now. I was scheduled to try the free 30 minute class. After phone conversations and texts message confirmation, they don't tell you before you get there that you need socks with grips on them. If you purchase from them the cheapest $15 a pair toes in or toes. So my girlfriend buys us the socks and mine don't fit my toes... I ask can I switch for a pair with toes out and they wouldn't let me. She called the owner and the lady said for this time, I can just wear no socks. At this time I'm frustrated and not not interested in participating or joining. So I'm sitting there waiting for my friend and someone named Marjorie comes to me and asks me what happened... I explained the situation and she apologizes and said if I wanted, I could come back... NEGATIVE!!! read more

I am new to pilates and heard only great things about it. I decided to try the 30 minute introductory class at #clubpilatesnewhydepark and absolutely loved it! I'm in! I have had different instructors and each have their own teaching methods. Some workouts are tougher than others. All the instructors are attentive, making certain you are comfortable on the reformer, and safely following the routines in class. We are all so lucky to have the best instructors, owners and staff of the Club Pilates franchise - bold statement, yes, but ask any member in the studio and they would agree! As someone who travels often, I have visited many studios so I can say hands down, we have the best instructors at NHP (and same instructors at Garden City)! I was ready to change my life by improving my overall physical and mental well-being with a low impact form of exercise (due to my bad knees) - I've done the gym and tried yoga and barre but wanted something that covered it all. This studio is great! The staff, the instructors and the Owners Dave & Michelle are all nice and encouraging! I joined when they opened and have been going ever since, I fell in love with pilates when I took mat based classes at a local gym and the class was canceled, I wanted to further my pilates exercising with the reformer and was excited when a yoga studio opened by my job and offered it, however it was only on one on one training and it was very expensive, I am not a gym person had a membership for years and never went, and then had a baby 2 1/2 years ago and needed to shape up after feeling and looking like a blob and timing was just right because I found Club pilates New Hyde Park and they were just opening and I found a new home, I focus on me, and even made some new pilates friends!!
