Highly recommend trying a class here if you want results!…read more Here's my story....I've taken Pilates classes on and off for 15 years. After having some life changing events and stomach issues I stopped going for two years and resumed 5-7 days a week when gyms reopened during Covid at another studio in town. I couldn't understand why I was struggling in classes with things that I had never struggled with before and I continued to keep getting weaker even after taking 100 classes. Finally, after being told that weights would no longer be allowed at the studio I was going to I canceled my membership and I took the plunge and signed up online for 3 months of unlimited classes at Laura's. I had never even seen the studio but her training was impressive and I was determined to get back in shape. At that point I was the heaviest I've ever been in my life, I had constant back pain after classes at the studio I had been going to and I couldn't even do a full teaser anymore so I had nothing to lose. I signed up for the Thursday 10:30 Triple A class because I saw weights in the picture on Instagram. When I arrived I realized I was in no shape to take this class. Everyone of all different ages was in amazing shape. I decided I couldn't just leave so I tried my best but everyone at the class ended up being very supportive especially Laura! I felt like it was ok to work at my own pace and Laura confirmed that. After that class I tried to go as many days a week as I possibly could. We did Pilates exercises I've never tried before and within a month I was feeling better and seeing results finally!! It still amazes me how the classes never get boring and are always challenging. I've gone down 3 clothing sizes and lost several pounds and I feel great! My back doesn't hurt anymore and I can do a full teaser again. I'm still an unlimited member and I try to take at least 5 classes a week. If you want to get in this best shape of your life this is where you belong. Definitely try a class!

This place checked all of the boxes. When I arrived with my friend, the door was locked, which was odd because the studio was open and a class was going on. After struggling to open the door, a young woman unlocks the door as if nothing happened. No greeting and no apology for us waiting outside struggling to get in. Totally bizarre behavior from a customer service standpoint. For this studio, they tell you prior that you must wear grippy socks and that if you do not have, you can purchase right there at the studio. Great! It would be nice if they also included the price of their own socks on their website/confirmation email and text when booking. All I know is that we spent $47 for two pairs of socks. These are now the most expensive pair of socks that I own, and for what reason? Novelty? Price is not the issue, it's the lack of transparency that I did not like. I was visiting the area, so I naturally did not pack a pair of socks and didn't think it would be a big deal to purchase from the studio. Because honestly, how much could they be charging for said socks? I am drowning at home in plenty of trampoline park socks that I've had to purchase because I have children. And I can tell you that those socks are about six dollars. So I expected to spend no more than $10 on these socks. Make sure you bring your own. I also found it strange that no one answered the phone when I tried to call during normal business hours and would have to leave a message? Then I received a text message but it took about 4 hours before someone responded to my message about booking a class for the next day. The negative stuff aside, the rest of the experience was pleasant and the instructor was amazing and gave good genuine feedback. Never having used a reformer machine before, they gave us the rundown on how to use one and if they noticed anyone struggling or if their form was off, they came around to help.

All of the instructors here are awesome. My favorites are Alan and Amy. They are really attentive to their clients. They ensure you are executing the movements correctly and motivate you to not quit even when you feel like doing so! Bang for your buck right? Their passion exudes through their energetic/caring instruction in class. Keep in mind, these workouts are high intensity and not traditional Pilates. It's a modern spin inspired by Pilates and Lagree using an Xformer . Another thing to note, this location is not as overtly eye-catching as the Midtown location but the overall vibes, cleanliness, and upbeat music is still intact. I do prefer the spaciousness of this studio. What a great brand all in all. The only down fall, in my opinion, is that this location is not on Class Pass, which is a new endeavor for me because hopping around is fun. However, this studio is so worth a membership if commitment is your thing! If you are ready to Tremble, literally, face your fears and book a class ASAP, you won't regret the pain.

First time trying Yoga!…read more What a lovely place to have my first experience. From the time I walked through the door, up the beautiful steps lined with candles..... I was impressed. The check in desk is where I was greeted by the owner Susan! She offers yoga mats & towels for a very small fee. I noticed some super cute clothing and jewelry for sale. While I waited to sign in I glanced over to my right...... I enjoyed the lovely white curtains as they caught the wind, blowing in and out. The actual studio was like being in a retreat away from all of the hustle and bustle of the real world. The floors, the inspirational quote on the wall & the basic/simple ambiance! The class was enjoyable & the stretches felt really good! Susan was fabulous! She definitely interacts around the class to ensure this newbie was doing it right! I felt comfortable and proud that I was doing this! At the close of class i will mention that she placed nice cool cloths lightly sprayed with lavender across our eyes as we lay there absorbing all of the positive vibes that surrounded us. Very nice touch as I do LOVE my essential oils!!! Her studio was very clean & I definitely noticed all of the love & passion that was put into creating this wonderful space! In the year that I have…read moremoved up from Miami, it hasn't been easy to find a studio that just felt right in every way; now that I have PS in my life, I feel like I have found a sanctuary, some peace of mind amongst the chaos. The studio offers a great deal of classes every day, and now they have added two late night (8pm) classes during the week that are perfect for my more often than not crazy schedule. I've taken classes with 4 of the instructors so far, and they all have been absolutely wonderful. I have been particularly addicted to the Yin classes, since a bout of anxiety a few months ago made me realize I needed to slow down my pace a little and let go. Of all the studios I've been to in Broward and Palm Beach, I honestly feel that PS is the best there is out there. The energy and vibe of the location, the genuine care that each instructor gives all their students, and of course the variety of options for all levels and different styles of practice; all of this, and that intangible je ne sais quoi makes PS Yoga Studios #1 in my book. She said the same thing about riding my bicycle through the neighborhood while chatting on the cell phone. She said there was a better way to exercise where my stamina would improve, my aching back would feel better, my body would firm up and I would actually enjoy the workout: Dancing and exercising = Jazzercise!!! Aerobic dancing, core strengthening, stretching and body toning - all wrapped up in one breath-taking sixty-minute class! For the past two years I've been having this wonderful fitness experience at Jazzercise Ft. Lauderdale on Oakland Park Blvd. The instructors are just the best! They're all great teachers with top-notch leadership skills, all with a sense of humor to help with the exertion and they "take no prisoners!" Don't be fooled by the "slow marching" start because in just a few minutes the pace quickens, the music starts to ramp up and within just a few more minutes the entire class is huffing, puffing and wiping the beads of sweat from their brows. And just about the time you think you've had enough (about 30-40 minutes) - the mats and weights come out and the balance of the hour is stretching, core strengthening and slowing down the heartbeat. Friends?!?!?!?! I've met just the nicest people at Jazzercise in Ft. Lauderdale. It's like we're all on the same team rooting for each other's success. Me? I'm a seventy year-old guy who enjoys dancing and I'm in better shape today than any time in my life. (I wipe the beads of sweat from my bald head!)
