The classes are varied in the different muscle groups that they work so I feel strong in my upper body, core, and legs. That room is way too small and the sound is way too loud. There's nothing relaxing about super loud sounds that jolt your nervous system. She was talking at the same time as she was using the bowls and you couldn't even hear what she was saying, so that in itself was odd and frustrating. There were other parts of the sound bath that were relaxing like the sea sounds but those crystal bowls were not it. If you were in an auditorium, or place that was acoustically appropriate it would be healing. Not a place I'll go to again~

I ran CIM this December and was looking for a cold plunge spot open on a Monday (most races are on…read moreSundays) and this was one spot that was affordable and available so their cold plunge caught my eye. I booked the cold plunge for $20 and when I arrived the staff was so welcoming. The owner was there and asked if I needed coaching for cold plunge and I said yes. Her coaching and breathing exercises made this experience 10x better. I think I stayed in there for about 3 minutes. If you do the cold plunge definitely recommend you ask for coaching. The owner was so kind and even offered me a few minutes into the red light sauna. Can't wait to be back her again.

(I don't think there's a one size fits all for your practice, and do recommend my trial and error methodology) I landed at Yoga Shala because it checked all the boxes- good variation from class to class, my preferred temperature range, warm, friendly yogis, a welcoming atmosphere, no hassle class scheduling etc. I can't say enough nice things about this place and am so happy I've finally found a place to settle at.

What I like about this studio is their genuine appreciation for the guests and the ability to adapt their flow depending on what people ask for that day. Often times.
