I stayed here 5 nights recently and cannot recommend this hotel enough! The location rocks- so close to all of the big DC attractions. My room was very well maintained and cleaned every day. They offer filtered, chilled water on every floor. Such a nice touch! I also loved the coffee options available 24/7 in their reception floor. Treated myself to a latte every day. The hotel staff were all really friendly. They have a fitness center, though I opted for getting outside to run, so I am not sure what's provided. read more

I was BLESSED to be a VIP GUEST of the "Crown Prince Ermias Selaissie HAILE SELASSIE, of ETHIOPIA who had a Beautiful Event at the "Army and Navy Club", across the Street from "Club Quarters Hotel" on March 6th, and 7th, 2026, "Celebrating the 160th Anniversary of "the Battle of ADWA". My Colleague, the Ethiopian World Federation Incorporated, International Executive Council booked our Room at "Club Quarters Hotel". Check in was a breeze and the Staff was, " Courteous, Professional and Respectful". I have to especially identify "Missy Washington, Manager". She is so Pleasant and very Organized. I watched her as she Serviced the multitude of "GUESTS" from diverse Ethnicities, treating each one with Dignity. My Colleague's arrival was delayed due to problems with her flight NECESSITATING her to schedule her flight from Miami, Florida, having transferred, from her flight from London, England to Miami, with an entirely different "Airport"... To whom it may concern, my room was not comfortable the air conditioning did not work. I went through the Club Quarters Hotel app to inform someone. I received a response from someone they would come and check it out. When I returned to my room, I saw that someone had been in there but it still was not cool. I reached out again they said they would find me another room. The day I checked out May 19th 2026, the receptionist tells me that they tried to call me to give me another room, I said well I was on business so I was not in the room. The receptionist said but we did try to reach you, I said well you had my phone number and you had the app and the way y'all reached out to me? Receptionist response was oh yeah I guess we did. Looks are extremely deceiving when it comes to this hotel. When I first went looking at hotels I came across this one which was not at a bad price now I know why. Decided on this hotel because it gave the impression that it was right on top of the White House. It is not. You cannot see the White House from your window. I was on the 8th floor and there are buildings that block the way for view of the White House. Initially when I had came to the hotel the front desk agent was extremely nice and rather helpful when getting checked in. The hotel has kiosks that are used to check in yourself verses using their agents. It was an interesting approach, but did not mind it. In order to get to any room you must have your key even to use the elevator. They do not have a complementary breakfast, but have 24 hour coffee/ tea bar. The gym, vending machines and ice machine are in the basement. Which was interesting. The "chilled" water that are available for each floor are not cold whatsoever. Which was disappointing, but I mean it could be worse. I had ordered a deluxe room which comes with a queen bed according to their website. Not true whatsoever. It is more of a full-size bed I would know this because I have a queen size bed at home and my partner and I are able to fit on it more comfortably than on the bed we had stayed on during our stay. The trash cans did not have liners on them, nor did the ice buckets instead it looked like it had more plastic in it to hold everything and the housekeeping would have to clean it for reuse. Which I found rather unsanitary considering all the different germs/ people who would be staying at the hotel. I get they were trying to be ECO friendly, but certain things like 1 use plastic bags are necessary when it comes to the sanitation of items such as ice buckets and trash cans. The fridge that was in the room was extremely small. Nothing would be able to fit into the fridge. My snack box that I had brought on the plane with me barely fit in this fridge. The fridge is smaller than a dorm sized mini fridge. They have complimentary snacks for a price of course. The verbiage used for the shampoo, conditioner, and bars of soap were interesting. As it says that they are complimentary and can be brought home, but the last sentence says for a price. Does not give an indication as to what they are going to charge for it like the snacks on the desk. There are two bedside drawers and a single night stand in the closet that can fit maybe a week's worth of clothes depending on how bulky it might be. Enough hangers for 5 coats/ jackets, but no more than that. There is no where really to store your luggage. So the out of sight out of mind is not possible with this hotel. Windows are out-dated and bolted shut, but a draft is still able to get into the room. Also you can hear everything. Sirens galore which caused for little to no sleep. the casting on the TV barely worked half the time so was stuck with watching cable that would short circuit when the next room would come in and out of their hotel room. Checked out the following day at 4 am. I use to work in a hotel and understand that the night auditing shift is rather difficult to stay up for, but if someone is calling you at 4 am at the front desk you should not be sleeping while on the job. Then proceed to try to tell me not to go past the desk. I had said hello 4 times at different levels which no one responded to. Which is why I went past the desk and to see the employee sleeping. I went the vending machine the night I had gotten to the hotel and the Diet Coke that is in the vending machine is expired. So be sure to check the expiration date on it. I spent $4 on 2 diet cokes that were not drinkable. Now I am trying to get ahold of them to verify that I was in fact checked out because I never received an email that I was in fact checked out. Disappointed to find there was no parking. After lugging our luggage up the street, we were not offered or saw a luggage cart. At check in we were then told to sign our self in via an electronic kiosk. Once we checked into our room we realized we were assigned a small corner room with two twin beds pushed together. We booked a king size bed. Used the bathroom in that room, which is strangely outdated, to find the sink was not draining properly. Additionally, the window looked directly into a staffed office which made us very visible. Our disappointment with that room led us going to the front desk and meeting a kind gentleman named Micheal. Michael generously upgraded us to a queen suite which had no issues other than the bathroom still being dated. Seriously the toilet felt like a gas station. And the rest of our one night stay was well. The bed was comfortable, the second view was much better and more private. The location of the hotel is amazing. Very convenient for walking to the monuments and dinner. Thank you Michael for the upgrade and pleasant service. I would consider staying here again when they remodel the other floors. read more

This is great if you are in DC for sight seeing or business. Not great if you're looking to spend a ton of time in your hotel. It is clean and serves its purpose. I stayed in Club Quarters last week. A friend of mine was traveling here for work, so I decided to join her. I work remotely, so I spent a significant amount of time in the hotel room. The room itself wasn't too large, but was sufficient. The hallways are tight and the rooms are very close together. You won't get much of a view considering its location, but I'll gladly sacrifice sights from the window for the short walk to the White House and metro. You'll see from the photo that I still had plenty of room to set up a work space. The wifi was very fast and never gave me any problems! There is a coffee bar with an espresso machine, so you're in luck if you love coffee. There isn't any food provided in the morning which is somewhat disappointing. In the lower level there is an ice machine and vending machines filled with basic every day products. There is also a small gym with vending machines filled with snacks. The lower level is a little funny - it's pretty musty and feels like an afterthought. It gives you the feeling like you're in an employee-only area. The staff is mostly friendly. Parking is a nightmare, but that's to be expected with DC! read more

If you are thinking about getting a good night ready, this is. Not it. Was here for 4 days. Not able to sleep at all. The walls are then and all I hear are slamming doors, conversations from next door and the elevator dinging. The room has a smell, had to get cups of coffee to place them around the room to serve as air fresheners. Where was the microwave. Fridge only! Makes no sense. This is the second time that we (my mother and I) stayed at a Club Quarters hotel. The first was in Philadelphia. We liked their Philly hotel, and we were going to Washington because my SIL was graduating from a State Dept training course. I looked at other hotels in Washington. Both my mother and I have been there before, and we've stayed at four-and five-star hotels. Club Quarters is a three-star hotel. No robes, no slippers, no doormen with epaulettes. But there's a yoga mat in the closet. The location, on 17th, is superb. We were greeted by a lovely, smiling, cheerful young woman named Aline, who immediately made us feel welcome. We had two rooms, on different floors, and she asked us if that was okay. We both got deluxe rooms with a queen-size bed and a view. The TVs were bigger than the ones in Philly. I didn't get a bathtub this time, but the bathroom, although small, was very clean. The shower water was hot and the pressure was fine. The toiletries are Gilbert & Soames. The room was exceedingly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I am allergic to feathers, and it's very nice (for me) that I didn't have to request hypoallergenic pillows. It was quiet. The hotel is apparently in the process of installing additional window panes to block traffic noise. I had one on my window, but my mother didn't. She was a floor higher, though. She did wish that she could open the window, but they have been sealed. We had coffeemakers and small refrigerators in our rooms. I like the security--you have to use your key card to operate the elevator. Each floor has a dispenser for plastic water bottles and cold purified water. The business center, open 24 hours, has comfortable seating and a coffee machine that makes yummy cappuccino and other drinks, plus there's a nice selection of tea. We stayed for two nights, and all of the desk people were pleasant and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning and replenishing towels. We didn't have to request housekeeping, because the Covid-era restrictions are no longer in place. This chain, IMO, is ideal for visiting a city where you have a lot to do and need to be in the perfect location. While I love luxury hotels, I didn't miss anything (except the robe and slippers) while staying here. I couldn't get my phone to cast on the TV, but that was probably my fault. I watched cable instead. There's not a whole lot of drawers in the deluxe room, but they're adequate for a two-night stay. I had a dresser in the "suite" in Philly, also a bathtub. The reading lights on the bed were great. The room was a nice size, not cramped at all. TONS of outlets and charging ports for all your electronics. Plus, of course, and iron and ironing board. One downside--and this happened in Philly, too--is that the adjacent restaurant was closed. Since it rained in BOTH Philly and DC while we were there, this meant that we had to go out in the rain for dinner, rather than being able to dine easily and conveniently. Hopefully this situation will change in the future, with new restaurants. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel, or this chain. My mother and I like field trips, and we will definitely look for a Club Quarters if we visit a city where they have a hotel. The prices, especially when compared to luxury hotels, are great. If you don't plan on spending much time in your room I'd recommend this hotel. The location is amazing for the price you can grab it for especially if you're a tourist like I was hoping to see the monuments in DC. The lobby staff were always helpful and professional. Just simple things like opening a door when we're confused with how to open it, grabbing us a water bottle (only one is given in the room but there were two of us) and being able to hold onto our bags the day we checked out. The room itself is small but we were happy with it. The WiFi works well too which is definitely important for us. We had a look at the gym and it is probably the smallest I've ever seen. Although Club Quarters is a budget priced hotel, it exceeded my expectations. Check in literally took only a matter of seconds, and we were given a room on the ninth floor. The room was compact, but acceptable for the two of us. Beds are very comfortable. Toilet paper was soft, as were the bath towels. The shower had good water pressure, and toiletries were provided. Location is very close to the White House and other attractions, and the Metro Station is location just outside the hotel entrance. It was about a 50 minute train ride to Dulles airport. If I return to visit Washington DC, I hope to stay here again. read more

Like other reviewers stated, it is an excellent option for a business trip and if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing. The wifi was great as I needed it for work. definitely not a $320 a night room, which is what we paid. This room is no bigger than my bathroom at home. The room is extremely small. The shower is a very awkward angle so you're tight inside the shower and if you lift your arms to rinse your you're gonna whack your closet door doesn't fit the closet space so it just sets up against the freezer in the refrigerator is broke the inside a cabinet. That's a hot box so the refrigerator actually never gets cold. The bed is super springy and not very comfortable. the air conditioning well let's just say it barely works and they shut it off when they clean the so when you come into the room, you're walking into a sauna then you turn it on and it's struggling to work because it's struggling to cool the room off so you think that the air doesn't work so you turn it on you go out and walk around town for a while come back and it's still struggling and it basically took the humidity the air and has cooled the room down being a but not cooled it down enough to feel comfortable. The place was sold out so we were not able to switch rooms so we suffered it out now we're leaving and we wanted to get ice for our cooler and there's no ice buckets and there's no garbage bags. This place is very very strange. Definitely not a $300 a night hotel don't waste your money. Don't even waste your time thinking oh this might just be a picky person. I'm not picky, we came from Gatlinburg where we stayed in a hotel that was $60 a night and it was absolutely wonderful. The area wasn't like top-of-the-line area, but the hotel was fine. The Reagan and the people there were super friendly the people at this place, not so much. Oh and the chilled bottled water was a nice idea if it were actually chilled. read more

Not sure why any review would be poor. This is not a 5 star hotel folks. This hotel is perfect if you are here for a quick business meeting or strictly for sightseeing. The location is unmatched for the price. Next door, you have a highly priced, basic French restaurant with a cute sidewalk view. You are close to the Whitehouse and tons of restaurants. Don't come for luxury or amazing amenities. This is not motel but it's not a Hilton either. Major plus- I stay here because of work. The first person we came across was a gem. So sweet. We are on day 2 of a week long stay and our tv still isn't working right. They said they fixed it but it's still not working. The thought of changing rooms is exhausting. We have gotten stuck in the elevator twice. It just stops on a random floor. The rooms are much much smaller than expected. And the bathroom doesn't even have enough space to get ready or do your hair.... This place is in need of major upkeep because nothing is working right. An okay hotel that hits key attributes. The hotel is next to a train station, was pretty clean, felt safe, and had a comfy bed. Water pressure was great and I liked that they had complimentary bottled water. It's basically a place with empty water bottles that you can fill. The place is dated and our bathroom was quite old. While we were out for dinner some of the ceiling fell off in the shower but it was easy to clean up. Our TV wasn't working but was fixed once we mentioned it to the front desk. This place is ideal for a central location if you intend to stroll around to the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial because it is quite close and the walk is very easy. It is also close to the subway line- Farragut Stop and just around the corner to the hotel. The hotel itself is OK, we got lucky, arrived early in the morning and they got us a room which luckily we got to change later on in the day. They gave us a much nicer room on the same floor but it was much bigger and brighter. I would recommend this hotel if you plan to stay out alot and use it sparingly only to sleep. The work out room is not too good, most machines don't work and it is kinda small. Otherwise not to bad overall. read more

This hotel is right in the corner of I and 17th streets, next to the metro station and just up the street from the White House. It's compact charm was cute when we walked in, but lost its enjoyment after a day. When we checked in, I noticed a $25 suite upgrade sign on the counter which I was going to do until we were shuffled to one of their self-serve kiosks. They lost out on more money per night and we could have had a slightly better experience. I felt like I was on a cruise ship with the size of the room. In fact, I've had nicer, larger, bathrooms on cruise ships than what Club Quarters provides. You can only crack your curtains in your room unless you feel like an exhibitionist since there were office building windows about 15 feet from our room. I could clearly see them and I'm sure they could clearly see me. I suppose I could have put on quite the show, but that would be all sorts of "wrong!" I can only imagine what the office workers must see that might make their eyes bleed! The coffee machine on the second floor was broken most of our trip and the "complimentary" bottled water was a mediocre stipend. The staff was very helpful. I appreciated their smiles and genuine friendliness. I would sum up this hotel as a bare bones minimum experience of you want to travel economically and not break the bank. read more

I have stayed at this chain for approximately two decades at locations including New York, London and Washington DC. I was always met with welcoming attitude and assistance to make my stay smooth and comfortable. For unexplained reasons, May 27th I arrived at their WTC (NY) location for a one night stay. I was accosted while waiting for the key by a staff member who told me to leave. The hotel has offered no compensation, refund, reimbursement of replacement hotel or other gesture. It appears the message is that the conduct towards me was deliberate. Last night, I thought of trying their DC location (where I have spent extended periods previously). The Front Desk would not even open the door claiming a policy that only "registered guests" could come in. Well, if that's a policy it must be directed at me and a pretty new one!! read more

I stayed at CQ for 4 days and 3 nights , to be honest the pictures do not give accurate look of room...the rooms look big online but in person it's about as big as a dorm room and also the showers are so small, as a larger person i didn't enjoy my stay when it came to showering it was very uncomfortable especially having uncomfortable showers every night and day...another thing about this hotel is they charge you to use bar soap when you aren't even given hand soap which i think is a scam, the walls are so thin you can literally hear your next door neighbor, also this hotel is dog friendly , i am highly allergic to dogs and i didn't really enjoy that fact...the ice machine is also in the basement , ill say that again THE BASEMENT which you're only allowed to use ONE elevator to get downstairs which is locked after a certain time smh, their are community ice buckets lol idk i just thought for the amount of money i spent i should've had more / better quality experience in DC as i was traveling for a weekend vacation, the only great thing was the comfortable bed read more

It's near impossible to confirm your reservation before checking in, which is kind of scary. Club Quarters Central Reservations efficiency goes something like this: Two days before check in: Voice automated recording, which gives no option to speak to a live person One day before check in: Voice automated recording, which gives no option to speak to a live person Day of check in en-route to hotel: Yes I FINALLY get a hold of a live person!! However, they are NOT able to confirm my res, and when I ask for the number to get a hold of someone at the hotel, they ask me as to what the address of the hotel is and the phone number?!?!?! Club Quarters something is obviously not working here (like brain cells)!!! At least make up a lie to put me on hold to google it! Which is what I did, and no one picked up the phone! Dah for wasting my minutes! There is a $25 upgrade fee if you want a suite, and we did that BUT, be warned if you are placed in a room facing the park or 17th street there is a club SOMEWHERE out there in that direction that you can clearly hear until 3am or 4am. My fiancé said the base rocked him to sleep but it kept me up and made me grouchy the next morning. The first 10 minutes in our room was very awkward. We had three unexpected visits. The first was from engineering, they just walked right in without knocking trying to do a preventative maintenance check. The second was housekeeping with a shower curtain and robe. I guess the room was sold by the front desk without housekeeping verifying that it was ready. The spooked houseman that wasn't prepared to see us hurried out immediately without saying anything. But then stood outside of our door for a few moments and then knocked to let him in again to put up his items. Check out was also odd. Our HVAC was rattling like it was competing against the music of that club to see of who was louder, and didn't work so well. We wanted to let management know that they should look into it at check out so the next guests wouldn't be bothered and my fiancé got an earful from the lady at the front desk. She was so defensive, and took a stance to prepare to battle us to prevent us from reducing the final final bill, but we weren't after that at all! The rates are so cheap here even with an upgrade, we already got a deal! Not everyone lady is after a discount! This review is 3 stars because despite everything my fiancé liked the hotel, and said he'd stay here again. It gives free comp water on each floor, you have access to unlimited latte/espresso on the 2nd floor, our room was spacious, views were great, and its literally two blocks away from the white house. If you are here for business its in the heart of downtown. I on the other hand may persuade him to stay elsewhere. read more

3.5 stars Back in August 2012, I found myself attending a conference in DC that I really didn't want to attend, but knew that I had to based on my job title. Working for Uncle Sam has its ups and downs but that's another story for another day. Uncle Sam took the liberty on booking everyone at the Hotel Club Quarters on 17th Street as it was just a 2 block walk to the conference center and that would save the taxpayers any rental car fees or taxi rides. The Hotel was also located less than 50 feet from the DC Metro Farragut West station so I didn't need a rental car upon arrival at the Ronald Reagan Airport. All I did was hop on the metro and took a 20 minute ride to te hotel; another savings for all the taxpayers. Upon entering the lobby, I knew this was a "different" type of hotel. It's located just two blocks from the White House in the center of the business district. The lobby is extremely small and this is a theme that is carried throughout the hotel. For your convenience (or theirs), there is a computerized check in kiosk, similar to what you would find in any major airport when checking in for a flight. However, check in was simple. The rooms are all on the upper floors of the building and must be accessed via your room key card and one of the two elevators. The rooms are very very small, and I would guess that my room (studio style) was approximately 300 square feet, and that's a generous estimate. However, the rooms have everything that any traveler would need; you just don't have a lot of "elbow room". They don't advertise it, but the hotel sort of has a green/eco feel to it. On every floor, there is a chilled, purified water station and empty 16 oz water bottles for you to fill, which is a lot nicer than buying bottled water every day. Having never been to D.C. before, I'm guessing that the $165.00/night rate is about average for such a centrally located hotel. The staff was very polite and helpful regarding all my tourist questions since this was my 1st time in D.C. There was a very small workout facility in the basement and on the 2nd floor there is a "Club Living Room" which is sort of a hotel guest lounge that features comfortable seating areas, oversized television, computer workstations, complimentary WIFI, coffee, tea and newspapers. (That's a quote from their website) What truly impressed me about this hotel transpired on the very last day. In an effort to be fiscally responsible and to save the taxpayers money, our conference ended at 12:00 on the last day so that we did not have to stay an extra night in D.C. and incur one more room charge. Since it was my 1st time in D.C., I wanted to see as many sights as possible, so I booked a 7:00 PM flight. The hotel agreed to hold my bags for me while I toured the city. Upon retrieving them, they allowed me to go upstairs into the lounge area and change into some fresh clothes for the flight home. This is what customer service is all about. Overall, this is a quaint little hotel, and is conveniently located in the heart of DC's business district. If you don't mind a small room, then you'll be good to go. read more

I think this is the first hotel where I only received two pillows on the bed. I thought at least four hotels was a federal regulation. Clearly I need to brush up on my Supreme Court precedents. What's worse than two pillows? Only receiving one wash cloth! I suppose my wife and I were supposed to share it. I know we are sharing our lives but this is a bit much, don't you think?! On the bright side: the view out of the window was nice and the coffee machine was pretty cool. So for that I'll give them a break and award three stars. The hotel is rated really well on Booking.com, which is where I booked. I'm giving it 5-stars only because it is a block away from the White House and other attractions. While the view was great, there was nothing exceptional about the service. It is the same service you would get elsewhere, but I do not mind, I just feel that this 4-star hotel is not differentiating itself from those that are 3-star. However, for $85 a night on a Friday, it was a great deal! Overall, would stay again. Beware, you need to park in a private valet garage ($35). read more

I love staying at Club Quarters. Checking in is pretty convenient and you can also do it yourself with just your credit card. This location in particular is conveniently located near the Farragut Metro station and the White House, so you're pretty much right in the center of all the action. The rooms are kind of on the small side but they are clean and modern. Their beds are nice and the bathrooms are decent and clean. There is complimentary filtered bottle water available on each floor. It's usually doing the little things right that makes a hotel a nice place to stay. I was also able to get a late checkout for a fee of $35 plus tax. I would not hesitate to stay at another Club Quarters in any of my future trips. read more

I'm giving this hotel 3 stars not necessarily as an indictment on the hotel but just setting expectations for someone who's considering staying here. The major plus for this hotel is location. If you plan on sightseeing the landmarks, you are in a prime location to see everything within a short bike ride or walk. That's honestly the only value proposition. The rooms are very small, there is no real lobby so you miss out on the typical main floor hotel amenities, the bathrooms are small and they only provide one set of bathroom linens, the rooms are right on top of each other so you can hear everything in your neighbors rooms, etc. This hotel felt much more like a dormitory than a hotel. Also, this was my first time visiting DC so I didn't know much about the areas. This hotel is in the downtown area around the White House which is all about sight seeing landmarks, not really much to offer for night/social life. If you don't plan to spend much time in the hotel and just want somewhere with a good downtown location and a good price, CQ is the spot for you. Personally, next time I will pay a little more to stay in a more traditional hotel in an area that has more night life options. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by our experience in this hotel, which only had minimal drawbacks. Would definitely stay there again. The good: the location was mere minutes away from the white house by foot and conveniently above the metro station! The front desk was especially friendly and helpful, especially Tsedenia. The COVID protections made us feel comfortable, especially the temperature reading machine in the front. Overall, the service was excellent! The bad: each level has a water bottle refilling station, but they were empty every day except for the lounge, so we had to frequently stop there for water. Be prepared because the rooms also don't have refrigerators. read more

This hotel is great for the location, quick walk to monuments, museums, and White House. The metro is right next to the hotel, making it easy and cheap to get back and forth from Raegan airport. 99% of the staff were super helpful and friendly, but the staff at night were unprofessional. Our room only had two pillows and I am pregnant with extreme back pain. I asked the night staff if I could please have an additional pillow and was told no, when I insisted she said "I said no". I also needed help using the printer in the business center and was told no, so I asked if I could receive an urgent fax with the front desk and was also told no. I did have bite on my legs the first morning and was scared it was from the hotel, but it became obvious after a few more days that there are tons of mosquitos in the evening and bugs if you are walking through grassy areas. Other than that.. free coffee, tea, and refillable water bottles. read more

This hotel is in a good location in DC, about 10 minutes walking from Dupont Circle. The hotel is a little narrow and smaller than most. The rooms have plenty of outlets and charging areas, free filtered bottled water, comfortable beds, and is generally clean. The decor could use a little updating, but no complaints - just no bells and whistles. The group I was with decided to have breakfast at the hotel since the food was reasonably priced. I have to say that the french toast was the best I've ever had. So good! Definitely would not mind staying here again. read more

Never a delight when Hotwire confirms me for the quarter hotel. I am a traveling nurse, who would appreciate an early checkin or late checkout. Not here. It's all how the "system" works they say. To which they have no control. I check in at barely 3 o'clock have to rustle to my room to sleep for maybe 3 hours to be at work at 6pm- I get off of work around 8am which puts me at the hotel by 830, check out is a swift 4 hours away and when I ask for complimentary late checkout given my work situation and the fact I only get a couple hours of sleep is always met with a stone "No, this system won't allow that" Smh. I can't wait til one of them needs a bedpan. Very well. It will be noted in my reviews. read more

Bring earplugs. Nice hotel and good location, but old, and not in a good way. The windows are single pane and you can hear whatever is going on outside, including a club that was playing music, audible in my bedroom, til closing. They have tried to modernize it with plenty of outlets in the room, but none in the places you would want them (you have to hunt behind the bedstand, and unplug a light or phone to get a free outlet by the bed). Exercise "room" is more like exercise "cage-in-a-basement." I think I have more square footage in my bathroom. Confirming amazing pillow reviews. read more

I totally recommend this place! We were literally 10 minute walk from the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. If you stay here you can walk everywhere since it's the middle of everything. The room that we stayed in had an amazing room we got so lucky because we had not requested a view but I'm so grateful we did because I loved waking up to that view every morning. They included a coffee maker inside the room a fridge, but no microwave. We literally were only in the room to sleep and we were out and about all day so to me this place worked perfect. The service we got from the front desk was excellent. The front desk person was very friendly and told us what the hotel included. They even have a gym that my husband and I didn't get to see or use. My wife and I stayed here for two nights at Thanksgiving 2018. On Wednesday night, we were unable to sleep from midnight until after 3:00 am due to loud music and the amplified voice of a DJ from the Eden Lounge which is evidently on a rooftop across the street. We complained to the front desk and got no help whatsoever. They gave multiple excuses for refusing to move us to another room on the other side of the hotel: our room was "downgraded" What does that mean? On Hotels.com it was billed as a "Superior" room), their computer was "auditing" and they didn't know which rooms were available, etc. When we challenged the bill with Amex, they lied and said we had complained of "street noise". But, that night they were the ones who told us the name of the club. They obviously get these complaints regularly, but don't disclose this info when you book. read more

PROS: location is amazing! You can walk to all the main attractions with ease. The room was spotless and best of all the mattress was comfortable! CONS: Small shower with no tub. Street noise (easily used a white noise machine app). No easy way to refill a reusable water bottle. read more
