Food was great and hit the spot. Staff was kind, quick and went the extra mile. Definitely our new go-to for fried chicken.

Best Livers and Gizzards we have had in a longtime. The fried fish was good also. We will definitely be eating here again.

Very good food and friendly down-home service. I love this place and eat here at least once every two weeks.

Typically, I rate based on several visits to get an overall picture of the place, but I will bypass the rule if the experience was exceptional (#1). Mike's was downright excellent. I ate the food warm and I ate it cold, and I'm still thinking about it. I tried to save some time by ordering online and also bypass any potential lines. Thankfully, there were none when I arrived, but a very full house of happy eaters despite being well past primetime lunch hours. The staff was friendly in the front but fielding many orders at the same time. I missed the literal pick up window outside, but was happy to get a gander of what it looks like inside. There's plenty of seating for groups and the place seemed a lot cleaner than the divey narratives folks emphasized. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. It's a rare occasion to be this infatuated with a place, but I'm confident it will be the first on my return list when I'm back in Dallas again. ___________ (#1) Or exceptionally bad.

All of the sides are really good too. Tip: Order online and don't call. I called 8 times trying to get an update on my online order and they didn't answer once. When I arrived they had everything ready and it was all correct though.

The staff is always friendly and pleasant, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy working here. There are plenty of seating options: a cozy bar area, three separate dining rooms, a large patio with its own bar, and even picnic tables out back. I think the upstairs may be reserved for private events. Every time I visit, I end up ordering the same thing because it's just that good--the Naked Chicken three-piece. Absolutely delicious! I'm also glad they now offer two sides with your entrée for a small extra charge. The mac & cheese and green beans are both amazing. I've tried a cocktail or two, but usually skip them since the portions are small for the price. Overall, this is such a fun, charming spot with consistently great food. Definitely one of my go-to favorites! Add it to the Love List

Brick and Bones Backyard is a blue house on the corner of Main St. in Rowlett, Tx, that has been transformed into something magical. This Mexican-Inspired "chicken shop" is offering fried & rotisserie chicken, classic cocktails, and live music in a rustic setting. The menu is diverse and offering all things chicken that is brined 24 hours, fried and can be order breaded or naked( for the gluten-free in you). They also have rotisserie chicken, tenders, sandwiches, salads, bowls and wings, along with unique sides. Poblano mashed potatoes, habanero mac n cheese, mexican corn, etc... often garnished with fresh radish and cilantro around out the menu, with top notch service to boot. Mi marido ordered the breaded fried chicken, mexican corn and poblano mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was well seasoned with a great crunch. The potatoes had good flavor, but were barely warm. I can imagine their greatness heated. The mexican corn on the other hand was the real elote deal! The fresh snap of sweet corn, dosed with cotija cheese and spices lives up to the hype! Sweet, spicy, savory, it hit all the flavor profiles. I had the naked chicken with an order crinkle fries(faves) which was greatly appreciated for it's gluten-freeness and flavor. However, it was abit overcooked. Which left it thready and a little dry. The sauce that accompanied it, was needed, but shouldn't have been, while the fries were fresh, but undercooked. The concept and flavors make Brick & Bone standout on the chicken front. Better execution can make it a cut above the rest. Check It Out!

I've been to other bb.q chicken locations before that serve complimentary radish on the side, but this location doesn't seem to do that. I also ordered the Rose Ddeok-Bokki. The description claims to be "less spicy", but I still found it to be very spicy. The portion size is small for what it is, and the cabbage leaves were cut too large compared to everything else. Overall, I'd highly recommend the chicken!

We went during the Artic Blast of 2026 and the property manager did not have the decency to shovel the ice or put salt down to make it less dangerous to get to the door. Some could say that having to ice skate to the door could be looked at as fun but I didn't see it that way. I will say that I have only done takeout and DoorDash from here and this was my first time dining in. The service wa not good. The young ladies working the front of the house didn't seem like they were happy to be there and they weren't very friendly. The wings are normally very good, with a lot of sauce, friend crispy and finger licking good. Not so this trip to the point where I left very disappointed. I will go back to takeout and delivery because of the service.
