Took this course with a friend of mine and it was a lot of fun. It's great for those that have never ridden a bike before. I specifically chose this class because it was a female owned business and wanted to support the minority run business. Our instructors were awesome very helpful and patient. Key word is patient. They know they're dealing with riders that have zero experience and do their best to make sure you can operate a bike safely. If you're doing something wrong there is definitely constructive criticism which keep in mind is to make sure you are safe on a bike. Our class size was around 12 people. Bikes used were Honda Rebels, BMW 310R and there was a triumph 400 as well. I want to get a Triumph 400X so would have been nice to ride the Triumph but I didn't get too. Gear is provided for you but if you have your own bring. It's always better to have gear that fits you perfectly since not all gear will fit everyone the same. All in all great class, very helpful instructors. Day 1 we had Aron and Luis. Day 2 we had Aron and a I can't remember her name but the class really enjoyed having her. Very helpful and welcoming. There are better places than here.Not very good for beginners, I've never rode in my life and I ended up riding quite well with due regard, but still failed a test because I didn't exaggerate snapping my neck like mortal kombat. There were other worst, slow and unsafe riders who passed. Also you will get dehydrated and no time to eat a lunch. Also one of the female instructors had a nasty attitude for anyone making little mistakes for someone never riding in their life. I passed the M1 DMV test myself just fine. Huge shout out to the instructors for this course. Liz, Cory, Jane, and Carl, aka Mr. Wonderful were all such great teachers. I took the classroom with Carl. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and encouraging despite how early we were there in the morning. Liz, Cory, and Jane were so patient, thorough, and constructive with their coaching on the course. They worked tirelessly throughout the day teaching 2 classes for 12 hours in the sun. I would like to give them all kudos for their patience. Liz was also especially encouraging. I had doubts with my own ability and she pushed me to try and that lead me to improve and succeed. I had never been on a motorcycle prior to taking this course. I also do not think I am the brightest or most skilled in most of the things I do. If these instructors were able to teach, guide, and have me succeed in passing this class and getting my M1, they can help anyone. I'm amazed at what Korey and Liz are able to do within two days. This isn't a classroom theoretical lecture, that's all done online before getting there in person. Once you're there its GO time. Within two days they take you from showing you the button to start the bike to leaning into curves, weaving in and out of cones, and doing emergency stops, but don't let that intimidate you. Onsite EMTC course training instructor Kevin knew his stuff, communicated effectively, gave positive reinforcement and feedback when making mistakes. Liz was a beast on the bike, giving flawless demos before each exercise and her knowledge and ability to use hand gestures coaching throughout training was key. This was my first time taking a riders course, and they included all the fundamentals necessary to start riding safety on the street. They include an online classroom to review and test your knowledge on every aspect of riding a motorcycle in every type of environment. Getting into motorcycles can be intimidating but I was really fortunate enough to have been recommended the Clutch Motorcycle course. I had never ridden on a motorcycle, and never even held a motorcycle helmet, but the instructors walked us through the how D-rings work and step-by-step how to eventually ride a motorcycle. I was so nervous Day 1 and was counseled out 2 hours into the session and was so thankful they were able to recognize that I needed extra training. Our safety and the safety of others was well respected. Amanda brought me up to speed and I was able to come back and ended up passing the course. It was a great experience. At first I signed up for this class to assist me in getting my license, but I came out of it a much better rider and I'm really glad I went through this experience. While I already felt comfortable riding my bike, this helped me get experienced in some safety skills that I will see out in the real world. Being able to practice swerving, quick braking, and leaning while in a safe and controlled environment with incredibly helpful. I don't think I would have practiced these things without taking this class which could end up being extremely dangerous. I recommend people to take this class even if you already have your license. She has a loud and booming voice to make sure people listen, and also encourage people to do better at the same time. I finally decided to learn how to ride a motorcycle, but have zero experience. A friend of mine recommended this course. The online classroom portion is a bit long and tedious, but it is a necessary portion to learn fundamentals and theory before being able to experience and learn application when on site. I was fortunate enough to be taught by Tony and Jennifer. As previously mentioned I have zero experience, and I wasn't grasping the concepts well. However, thankfully, to Tony and Jennifer and their constant reassurance, tentative pointers, and patience, I was able to learn and catch up to speed with the rest of my classmates. The class is accelerated, so I empathize if it feels overwhelming, but it is a safe space to ask for help. I'm not yet ready for the road, and still need to take my license, but I feel more confident after being given guidance and instilled fundamentals by the instructors, as well as the help of my fellow classmates. Tony and Jennifer also mentioned that every first Saturday of the month, there is a women's project which is comprised of a women's only class to help empower and educate women to further their riding knowledge, however, I recommend to doublecheck by calling their facility to confirm this class and what day it is held. Just finished my 2 day course with clutch and I have nothing but great things to say about them. Started off with an online course that was a little overwhelming as I'm not a good test taker but we were able to learn skills on the range in a weekend. Had the pleasure to work with Carl and Aaron the first day and the second day we worked with Brian and Tesi. In the two days in the range it has made me more confident as a rider as every skill they taught us helped so much because of the feedback and tips they gave me. It was scary too as going into something where you don't know anyone but it was nice that my class was super welcoming as well. Just finished my beginner course this morning and ran to give Clutch a glowing review. If you are a beginner, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!! It seems very daunting at first, but they will walk you through every step of the way and make sure you are proficient at each and every skill. The instructors may seem very firm at first, but they are only looking out for you and your safety and will ease up a bit as the course goes on and you become more familiar with the bike. I had Aaron and Liz and they were both exceptional instructors. Liz was very encouraging and made sure to give helpful tips if you were struggling with something specific. Aaron was very direct and would quickly point out which of your skills needed work, which I appreciated as someone with no motorcycle experience. Definitely do not expect to be perfect by the end of this course, you will make a lot of mistakes. But the knowledge and skills they teach you here are priceless. I took the two day beginner course at Clutch. I had no prior experience, but the instructors- Ashley and Brian- were fantastic and did a great job making us feel comfortable on our motorcycles and giving us individual feedback. The motorcycles they provided were appropriate for beginners and ran well. There is also a good selection of protective equipment. My one bit of feedback is that there were slightly too many motorcycles on the course. Had there been just two or three fewer students, or had the course been a few yards longer, there would have been a lot more room to practice higher speed maneuvers. read more
