My daughter bought a home and it need some electrical work done to fix a few minor things and to hardwire some flood lights, patio lights and other projects. After a first attempt with a company that charged a service fee ($129) and sent 3 men that did absolutely NOTHING that we needed...I had the lucky fortune of finding Volt Doctors. The owner is a very nice and hard-working local man businessman that knows his stuff. They were able to work on many items on my list and I am excited they will be coming back to give the house a complete check for older sockets and some loose plugs. (Clearly I don't know the correct terms) - But I DO know what it feels like to have someone NOT take advantage of me. THANK YOU Volt Doctors for running an honest business with reasonable pricing and good quality work!

A tree unexpectedly took down my power line on a Saturday and pulled the entire power meter and pole off my house. Since it was a weekend my usual electrician wasn't available and he recommended Volt Doctors. Their 24 hr dispatcher immediately answered and they had an electrician on site within two hours on a Saturday evening. Erik, helped get my generator running and hooked up, and an hour after that I had an estimate and repair plan in hand. On Sunday and Monday Summer was in frequent contact with updates and by Monday afternoon the repair was complete and good as new! The job came in under the projected time and under budget, so they reduced the cost to the real hours worked. I can't speak highly enough about Volt Doctors, THIS is how you run a business!

Pros: Prompt response & service Knowledgeable & highly professional Technician Reliable/flexible-Rescheduled appointment to an earlier time slot with no issues Cons: May be cost prohibitive for some In my case: 192.43 Diagnosis fee 779.38 for services rendered: Total cost was 971.81 1) Diagnose garage light fixture not working (ballast/lighting was replaced on (2) units) 2) Estimate to replace a fixture on the outside of home (lighting replaced with a flood light fixture) 3) Estimate for an future install of an outlet in the master bath. In contrast the work that was performed by the Volt Doctors Tech was done pristinely. Warning: Review Coercion & $1,100+ Pricing Discrepancy…read more I used Santa Air for five years and recommended them to many friends. Unfortunately, their business model has changed from "honest and hardworking" to "opaque and manipulative." The Technical Issues: In 2020, Santa Air installed my trane system but failed to properly connect the emergency heat strips. I spent five winters wondering why my house wouldn't stay warm below 30°F. They missed this mistake during every subsequent maintenance visit over the 5 years. Recently, they tried to charge me $1,700 for repairs I didn't need. A second opinion confirmed their diagnosis was wrong; that technician fixed Santa Air's original installation mistake and the actual sensor issue for a total of $575. The Billing Issues: Their current pricing "tiers" (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are incredibly over-inflated compared to other local HVAC companies. And if you only need a repair included in the Gold tier, you have to pay for all the things you don't need in the tiers below it. When I realized the invoice was vague and the work wasn't needed, I cancelled. The Ethics Issue: The most disappointing part was the office's response. They tried to emotionally guilt-trip me. They held my refund hostage, telling me they would only return my money if I removed my negative reviews. I refused to be coerced and had to fight for three months through my bank to recover the funds for services never rendered. Don't let the high star rating fool you--they are actively pressuring customers to delete bad experiences. Always get a second opinion!!!
