This bar not only used to be one of my favorite bars but also was one of the best bars in Idaho however due to my horrible most recent bad experiences i've had along with ones that others have reported having this bar in my opinion is one of the worst in the state! Especially the last few times i've been here i've been mistreated big league by some of the staff and the general manager which she's also one of the owners. While Clydesdale has turned into a complete joke many of the bouncers here, especially the short big guy that likes to puff up his chest that here sometimes are in my opinion very unprofessional, rude, arrogant & selfish. What's really laughable for a bar this small is they have this so called head of security which is truly a complete joke! The general manager of Clydesdale in my opinion and many people would agree just like they would on everything this review states is not trustworthy and overall is not a very good person plus its rumored that she does everything in her power to try and hide the truth about this bar and what goes on here. Between having nothing done about an unruly female patron bullying me and causing problems all because she didn't like a hat that I was wearing hence even throwing a cigarette she just got through smoking at me outside this establishment which could of easily ruined one of my favorite button up shirts I was wearing that night and while all this was going on the manager lady watched this and did not do nothing! I've also in the past have been picked on, harrassed and bullied by the bouncers at times especially after this bar went straight downhill which in closing the way i've been mistreated here over petty stuff is highly unacceptable! Unless you like constant drama, negative vibes & being mistreated,bullied or staight out being picked on by the bouncers or even some of the other staff members I highly recommend staying clear of this terrible place and going elsewhere! While my real recommendation for anyone that wants to go to a place that has high quality people in general, positive vibes or that wants to have fun meeting new people while hitting the nightlife is to spend the extra time and money and go to Boise or even Salt Lake however if that's not an option and your stuck in Pocatello your best bet would be to check out the Office Bar or even most anywhere else in Poky is better than this lousy place. If you want decent bar food in Poky either Cues & Brews or Center Street Clubhouse are good places to try. Not only I rank Clydesdale ZERO out of 5 stars but seeing this place go out of business would make me very happy! read more

I left a review on Google as well but it seems as though they had some incentive and all their employees went and covered them up RIGHT AWAY so I cam here to share the story as well. Please read the screenshots as they are proof of what happened and how the owner handled things. Very poorly. I felt threatened and scared and all we wanted to do was eat and drink and use the restroom. We will never return and I will be sharing our negative experience with friend and family as well. They refused service to a HUGE group of paying customers. I should have listened to all the negative rumors about it in the first place but I wanted to give them a chance considering it had been years since I've been there. They weren't good then either! read more

Unfortunately I haven't gotten to come in during business hours, but my truck broke down and the owner was kind enough to help try to jump off my truck and even wait inside with my dog to cool off for a few even though she was closed. Thank you very much. We'll be back soon! read more

I didn't believe the first person who told me this bar was recovered. There is absolutely nothing special about it. It's your typical douchey college-type bar and I find it to lack character entirely. Not a place where I feel welcomed, eager to be, or safe. Never tried the food, so I can't speak on that subject, but the drinks are expensive and weak. Don't care for the playlist on repeat throught the night, and the stench of catty women competing for attention on the dance floor. Not my place and that's okay I guess. Ha. read more

This is a nice little bar in the heart of Pocatello. The staff is friendly, the drinks are good, and the atmosphere is nice. It's really cool that they have some nice horseshoe pits around back, and plenty of pool tables. Their selection of scotch is pretty weak, and that's something I look for in a bar. But it's really fun to go to the Chalk Horse with a bunch of friends to play horseshoes and pool. They have seasonal billiard leagues as well. Overall I really like the Chalk Horse, I just wish their drink selection was a little better. read more

It's been remodeled and reworked and is now the Clydesdale Before it was a rough sort of place but now its improved tremendously! Staff are warm & friendly food is delicious and its a nice welcoming warm atmosphere. read more

Came into the new Clydesdale, formally the Chalk Horse. The atmosphere has improved to a modern setting. Drinks were good, service and food great. I had the chicken sandwich my wife the tacos both very good. A great place to avoid the chains. read more

Has to be the worst Food I've ever eaten at any Lounge in Pocatello. The chicken strips were served frozen, the hot wings I wouldn't have fed to the hounds. And they should be thoroughly embarrassed with their billiard tables. read more

Worst bartender service I've ever had, my friend and I literally waited an hour for a drink and were passed up several times. We ended up leaving to go elsewhere. read more
