It was like he forgot but he was willing to do it. I had sorted and labeled the basement into 3 piles of Front, Middle and Back Storage. I asked if it would help to break down the metal shelves for them and he said that would be great . Friday the packing day: I told the 2 workers how the basement was sorted and the reply was they were told to just take them out in any order. As they were packing the day went pretty well. The truck was almost full and then Dakota was on the phone. I heard him asking about a smaller truck and questioning the cost. They fit almost all in the 1 truck. He then was seeing about using something else. I asked about the price then as I had a rate for 2 trucks. He said it was more money then he had thought and would not make a lot on it. I stated he should have looked this up before he quoted me $4500. He said he didn't know the truck were more money in August. Our deal was i gave them a $500 deposit and the was to pay $2000 on Friday when they finished loading and $2000 in NY when they were set. I told him I expected 2 trucks if I was paying for 2 and he said "oh you expect me to pay for gas for both, come on I am not making a lot of money". He refused to change the price and then said it was a flat rate to which I said the rate was for 2 trucks. It was going nowhere so I gave him $2000 in cash. I agreed to pay the balance in cash to help him out and not pay the card fee as well. We agreed that we would meet at the house in NY at noon on Saturday. I got a text at 10:08am saying they were going to come at 11-1130 to which I said we decided on noon and I was still driving. I arrived at 1050 and texted that i was there nw. It was after 12 when they arrived and Dakota said they decided to stop and eat. The same 2 workers were with Dakota and Elizabeth was there as well. The 2 workers were great and asked where i waned things. My only complaint was they carried in 2-3 boxes at a time and put them in the room where the top box said. Because the truck did not load all the same room boxes together, I kept finding boxes in wrong rooms as i unpacked over the next week. Meanwhile, my husband had brought 2 of 5 old shelves in his car along with 3 new ones and had put those together. He was about to leave as to go back to NH. I asked Dakota if they could put the 3 shelves up before they brought anything else down so we could fit more. He then told me it is his policy to not put anything together that he does not take apart. I said I asked him if it would be helpful to take them apart so they would not have to spend the time doing it and he never told me that and instead said that would be great. I told him i would have left the shelves together then and had them take them apart. They didn't put them up. As the basement started to fill, I noticed some minor damage so I went over this with Dakota. One was a broken lid on a heavy duty bin, and broken handles on rubber maid bins. He basically blamed me for this. Then there was a wooden shelf that was broken. Dakota said his workers told him in NH that it was too fragile to out on the truck. I told him then he should have told me that and i would have put in my car. Elizabeth took it and put it together and put painters tape on it to hold it together and suggested I glue it. Dakota said he would take $50 off the bill for the damage. With stuff still on the truck, Dakota asked me to pay him the balance. i told him i wanted to wait until they finished and then i went upstairs . I came back and Elizabeth was there asking for payment. I told her that I had told dakota I would pay when they finished. She then said it is their policy to collect before they finish. I reply that I was not told that and that i want to make sure all the stuff comes off and nothing gets broken. She starts pointing to random things saying" is that broken, is that broken" and is raising her voice. i tell her she is being unprofessional and she starts swearing at me. I walk out of the room. Dakota comes back into the house .I explain we agreed to the deposit and half at end of packing and rest at end of the job,just like the painter, the carpet people etc. he says what if I don't pay him and starts becoming unprofessional.Then he yells "shut it down" and they close the truck with my stuff still in it. I call the police and chat with the person, Dakota and elizabeth hear. I then agree to pay him $1000 then $950 when done.He says no. Elizabeth is yelling at me and dakota is telling her she is making it worse and to leave.I am done and mad so just give him the money. Even though I'd paid for three. Didn't have time to finish the move and left me with a half-full uhaul. Owner refused to answer calls from me and his employees when it was time to go. Next day he told me he'd get someone out to help. Waited all day with no further contact. Called many times with little to no response. He became combative when he finally fessed up that he wasn't sending anyone. One of the movers smelled of marijuana and even left his marijuana package behind. Owner called me a liar when I pointed this out. Pictures prove him wrong. Overall it felt like teenagers with a lawn mowing business. Total rip-off. His own employee didn't seem to think him missing an appointment was abnormal

They really care about your stuff, and make sure that they don't break or bang your stuff. We asked the majority of the items go in our large (fully empty) basement. We should have inspected the work before paying but with the exhaustion of the move we did not think to. We were so upset to see how our belongings were just tossed about, heavy bins put on boxes that were starting to buckle under the weight, fragile items throw on top of piles of boxes, everything was clustered to one area so it's challenging to access while the rest of the basement as well as several shelving units remained empty. They also quoted one price and ended up charging more than the estimate as they begin billing their day from when they leave their house, not when they arrive to your location for the move. I reached out in writing to express my concerns and have yet to hear back. DO NOT USE THEM. Im certain some of our items are now damaged, in addition to how much more work we now face going through the absolute mess they made.

Moved from Denver to Corpus Christi, TX and during setting up the move I…read morewas offered the "earliest" delivery window and within that window it would be 2-12 days for delivery. I took it since it was the earliest. On pick up it was three guys who spoke mostly russian loading a 3 bedroom 2 bath house. It took 10 hours and they strugged to get it all moved. They left items that were supposed to be moved and took items marked for not being moved. They also commented how they could not "afford" additional help. Things were packed in random boxes and not every item was specifically stated as what box it was in. Then my items were unloaded in a warehouse and loaded by another person without my knowledge. I never agreed to this, I just took the window they told me was the earliest. At delivery it was another 3 days, the main one russian. They handed us the inventory and began moving boxes in 5-6 at a time and placing them inside, in garage, upstairs, wherever they wanted. Only after 10 minutes did they tell us we needed to check on the numbers on the sheet as boxes came in. It was complete chaos. We had a $2600 bed frame damaged, a $1500 TV scratched, $400 coffee table broken, $1000 worth of speakers not delivered at all, and a $1000 mattress totally soaked in water from not being wrapped properly. I filed my claim and after filing it I was told that I would only get $0.60 cents a per pound equalling $330. They said I chose to have my items in warehouse, which I did not, I took the earliest window. I also did not agree to have movers treat our stuff with disrespect and drag it across the ground as it was moved. This company has practice policies of hiring third party movers and taking no accountability for them.

Let me first say that the movers were amazing. They showed up on time but were clearly misinformed about how little we would have packed (husband had kidney stones and I had a high risk pregnancy) The movers were extremely patient, understanding, respectful, approachable, amazing gentlemen. The unpacking went perfectly smooth and I simply cannot stop raving. I even posted a positive video review about THE MOVERS on their Facebook page. We loved them! Here is where I had a major issue... I was a risk pregnancy and I told Anthony, the estimator, several times that I couldn't pack much at all.. I told him this several times. In the end, the final cost was $925 over the original estimate (we paid $2525 for a 3 bedroom split level house) All because Anthony did not communicate the job to the movers. The movers worked as fast as they could. When we called Anthony after we had to pay, he argued that we never told him how little we packed..We had to pay the full price because we had a contract and the stipulation below the "do not exceed clause" basically said that if the job was miscommunicated, we had to pay. It comes down to what we told him versus what "he heard." If you choose MovePro, choose them because of the amazing movers, but do not let Anthony in your house. If he is the only estimator available, choose a different company.

Their bid was relatively lower than that of others I spoke to but this came with its hang ups - they complained often about the work load, tried to do less work that was written out in the contract, removed and cashed in for my copper piping in the house, continuously asked for payments before they were actually due and did not fully complete the job. They are now unresponsive after they have been paid in full. This is a 7 day job and all of these problems took place. More of a hassle than the extra cash 'saved'. It is a shame.
