I had a list of electrical issues that needed to be fixed so it was time to call an electrician. I called David since he's licensed and was recommended by a friend. David came by the same day, accessed what needed to be done, provided a cost breakdown, and told me when he could start. I'm glad to say that it was great having David and his son Chris take care of the job. They replaced a sub-panel, an exhaust fan, and a couple of outside security lights, as well as fixed/added outlets. Additionally, they installed bonding at water heater and a grounding rod. Had to renovate an older home and called around a few reputable electricians (quite a few of the Yelp Top 10). Many took a long time to respond, or just had ridiculous pricing. David quickly came and assessed the work that needed to be done and gave a very competitive and fair pricing to get everything done. And David understood the urgency of the work (as we want to move in ASAP during the Covid period) and adjusted his schedule to start the same week on the list of things that needed fixing. We had main/subpanel replaced, rewire quite a few stuff, install fan/Lutron dimmer controlled recessed lights/Tesla Charger ... it was quite a bit of work that needed to be done. Throughout the process, David and Chris, licensed electricians with years of experience, came in their Ultra-Clean-N-Neat Electrician-Home-Depot on Wheels always on time, and took great pains to ensure that they do not dirty our home and always cleaned up the place after each job. They also observe safety procedures during the COVID period with social distancing and masks at-all-times. We did extra work per David's recommendation to bring the house up to code and he did the add-ons at a very reasonable price (and he cleaned up odds and ends that were not up to his standards). At the end of it all, we now have a wonderfully updated home that is comfy, beautifully lit, electrically safe and all done neatly, professionally, quickly and at a price that we feel is extremely competitive if not better than any of the Top 10 on the list. And they were easy to work with: flexible, humble and accommodating to boot. No waiting for 2 weeks to start, or to call an assistant for an appointment to quote. We found our family electrician that we can trust our whole family's safety and comfort with. We have been recommending David and Chris to friends and family. Our next project will be our central AC/heating. You can't find dedication like this nowadays, especially when all the heater/AC/home improvement contractors are always super busy. My heater was broken on and off for over a month and my family was freezing. David actually took the time to investigate what the issue was and spent a lot of time and effort on it. I was a bit nervous when I hired David Nguyen to put in recessed overhead lighting and ceiling fans in my newly-bought house, since there was absolutely nothing I could find about him online. However, I trusted the recommendation of my realtor, and when David saw our house and we described what we wanted, it was obvious he knew exactly what he was talking about and his recommendations were sensible. He works a lot differently than I expected a contractor to do, but when you think about it, it's a much better way that what I hear about most contractor horror stories. First, he, along with his son/assistant, took us shopping at Home Depot and had us buy exactly what we needed. We had one close by, but he recommended one further away that had a better stock and a better chance of having everything we needed in a single trip. They did have all we needed; we chose the lights and he bought all the incidentals (wiring, boxes, etc.) we knew we would need. So we knew we got good parts, and know exactly where to return them if one of them goes wrong. Second, he charged a very reasonable flat rate (not an hourly rate) for his labor costs, a set amount per light and per fan. That gave me assurance that he would do good work and not dilly-dally around to jack up his rates. Third, he did not ask for advance payment on any of it. It was a two-day job that he took half his payment when half of the work was done, and we gave him the rest when the work was finished. We also found a few small extras to ask him to do (adding a garage outlet, an outdoor outlet, and fixing a loose one), and he was quite generous and only charged us parts for that little additional labor. The work was great, the lights all work perfectly with our dimmer switches and make the rooms look awesome! The outlets are fixed, we have an actual place to plug in our washer now, and place to plug our outdoor gardening tools without having to leave a door open. I have absolutely no doubt all the great work he did increased the value of our home by more than what we paid him for. I highly recommend him! read more

He came out on a Sunday with his son Chris and they replaced my very old (original) disgusting bathroom fan/light combo with a brand new one that even had a built in bluetooth speaker! David also replaced some old light switches and even repaired and reinforced a broken closet rod! While he was out he also called one of his friends to quote me on having my Furnace and HVAC unit cleaned and serviced. I am having his friend come out next weekend to fix that. They work so fast and are very friendly and reliable. They also know a ton of people in the industry so can provide referrals for countertops, junk removal and more.
