Once we chose him to perform a full home electrical rewire for knob and tube and replacing a lot of electrical fixtures. The quality with which Duke, Eddie and the team was able to execute on the work was excellent. The permit approval also went smoothly which made me appreciate just how well Duke performed the required work. Most of all, he is honest with any issues and how much time things take. He also went out of his way to help me with anything else I needed from him. Overall, I would highly highly recommend Duke to anybody looking to upgrade their electricals.

They managed a seamless 200-amp panel upgrade (including PG&E coordination and permits), ensuring everything was grounded and bonded to modern safety standards. Inside, they wired every room--from the kitchen and bathrooms to three bedrooms--installing dedicated 20-amp circuits, LED recessed lighting, and code-compliant AFCI/GFCI protection. They also installed a 125-amp sub-panel in the garage with fire-rated framing and hardwired our entire smoke/CO detector system. Beyond the technical work, their attention to detail was impressive. They rerouted camera wiring inside the walls to eliminate exposed pipes and handled all the stucco and drywall patching/texturing to match my existing walls. Duke Electrical is professional, uses high-quality materials (Square D), and handles complex, large-scale residential projects with ease. Highly recommended! Duke, Eddie and team were amazing!

A few days before the installation, Nick, the owner of the company, came by for a free estimate. He was extremely attentive, explained everything in detail, gave us several options, and offered very helpful advice. Andrew did the actual installation, and the job turned out to be much more complicated than expected because of the age of the house and the electrical upgrades that were needed. Despite the challenges, Andrew was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and very thorough throughout the entire process. He spent many hours making sure everything was done properly and safely. The installation looks great, and everything is working perfectly. We truly appreciated the honesty, attention to detail, hard work, and commitment to doing the job right. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for electrical work, especially EV charger installation. Thank you, Nick and Andrew, for a job well done!

I feel like the technician was incompetent, inefficient, and not knowledgeable, clearly no experience. The owner was argumentative with me on the phone which was not productive & unprofessional. Very disappointing! * My rebuttal to your modified response: No, I didn't have a prior electrician or handyman touch my lights. After 4 years of having them, this is the first issue. It's disappointing that you twist my words, take them out of context, and are clearly not transparent. I never at any time over the phone state to you that a different company tried to fix the issue, "you were the first company" I called. Sad that you are not truthful to your customers, and make up stories and lie, unbelievable!

I recently hired Bahram (Altap) to replace our old Challenger main electrical panel and upgrade it to 200A to prepare for a new heat pump system. I brought in four different electricians for bids, and Bahram was the easiest choice. Out of all the estimators, he was the first one who had the expertise to immediately point out a critical code requirement regarding the distance to our gas meter. On top of that, he gave us the best price of the four and never once tried to upsell me. I just felt incredibly comfortable and at ease talking to him. Because the heat pump installation was entirely dependent on the electrical being finished first, the timing was critical. Bahram had the experience to perfectly orchestrate the logistics. He navigated the City of Cupertino inspectors and PG&E, pulling off the city sign-off and the PG&E power reconnect on the exact same day. Over the few weeks this project spanned from estimate to completion, he might be quiet for a few days at a time, but he always came through. He responded exactly when it mattered, did exactly what he promised (including a last-minute breaker install right before the HVAC crew arrived), and delivered flawless work. He even connected us with a fantastic handyman to patch the walls afterward.

I didn't appreciate the urgency (she said I needed it done asap, when I had at least 4 to 5 months). Aside from that, the communication from the project manager was competent & efficient. When Trout took over communication went haywire. During the city permitting process they said in their letter to me that I just needed to be home for (think the window was 8:30 to 9:45am). They said nothing about having to keep opening and closing my garage door access. Well, I refuse to use my PTO from work because they're not sure how long they're going to be, or the start and end times. So around 3 PM at work I got a frantic text from another (different) project manager asking me to open my garage. Well, hello, there is no power, so how can I open the garage? Finally, they got that sorted out and around 5 PM one of their techs asked me to open my garage. I never got a response back from him when I asked to confirm if he was done and I could shut it again (by the way, I was doing this remotely from work since I have an app.) Communication needs to greatly improve in order for me to recommend this business.
