I'm pretty sure you can still get a small popcorn and small soda for $1 each, which is unheard of at movie theatres. Matinees used to be $4 and night shows $5 in the first few years, but now the prices have risen $1.25 each. The increase is understandable and the management still manages to pull in big movies on a few opening days (Lord of the Rings films are the most notable examples), but I wish they still operated on 2001 prices. Support this local theatre so that there will always be an alternative to driving 45 minutes to Asheville to see a film.

I was at the upstairs screen so you do have to walk up the stairs to get there. But the stadium seating made for a great view of the screen. The ticket prices are reasonable as are the concessions. The theatre has first run movies as well as the independent films. Unlike the other theatres I have been to lately this one is well kept and very clean. So I wish it was closer to me so I could go more often and see the independent films. But I can support this place while in Asheville.
