Would give - zero star if I could....Went to this place just to get an alignment on my car. Lady at the front told me it would be $109 with tax bringing up to $120+ Fine. They also were to perform a FREE vehicle inspection, the mechanic took my car and put on the alignment rack to perform it. I'm in the waiting room, the lazy mechanic comes to me and tells me that he can't perform the alignment because of some little play in the steering wheel. I confirm to him that I'm aware of it and it has nothing to do with the vehicles alignment of the wheels, thus being a separate issue that I would take care of later. He got an attitude and got defensive about the whole situation. Very unprofessional, then It turned into a bit of back forth. He seems not to be very good at mechanic work, he doesn't know what he's doing.... I told him just to give me back my car, and let me go on my way since they refuse to do the work, they refused to give my car back and said I have to pay them to get it back!!! So they STEAL your car and hold it for ransom until you pay them for it back WTH!?!? A very disgusting gross business. They wanted $32+ for some made up alignment check that they made up to get the car back, but here's the thing: the foolish woman at the front counter NEVER mentioned it at first and it wasn't on the INITIAL work order that I signed! That place is just a den of thieves Remember they were supposed to do a FREE vehicle inspection? Soo...why would I have to pay $32+ for an alignment inspection check? On Feb.24,2026 I brought my car to CO-Op City Tire & Supply 2525 Conner Street for service including a NYS inspection. Several days later I noticed that the new inspection sticker had not been placed on my windshield. I returned to the shop for the new sticker and the inspection which had not been done. I was given no explanation nor offered an apology for my inconvenience. The sad part about this is the same thing happened the year before . Last year I gave a list to the service person on what I needed including the inspection. However, they failed to do the inspection which I had requested written on paper. This shop prides itself on giving your vehicle "Holistic Service" . They provide you photos and links to so you see the underside of your car etc. but they can't seem to do the basic things, like inspections and good customer service. + read more

Not sure if the post from 12/22 was a review or a dissertation, but as a new car owner not looking to pay crazy dealer fees, I've never had a problem with the place. In my experience with Coop City Tires, I've found them to be fair, honest and prompt. Adrian, Pedro, Rocky and the nice woman at the counter have always been nothing but consumate professionals which is what any customer would want. Taken my car here multiple times and every time they never get the problem actually fixed and end up finding out something that costs way more. Brought my car in to take off the check engine light and literally after leaving the shop my check engine light comes back on. Take it back in the next day and he just uses a machine to turn it off saying it might be a sensor that's off. Check engine light went right back on after leaving the shop. Took the same car in for a a/c problem evaluation. The very same day it was blowing hot air still. Told to bring it back next day. It worked for a week and started blowing hot air again. I don't have time to always be bringing a car back for the same issue. But I already paid them to fix it so I take it back again. Third time now. FOR THE SAME ISSUE. And now the problem is the air compressor on the car doesn't work. How do you evaluate a a/c system and not figure out that the air compressor is shot and no hood. So now I paid for a service that wasn't done and is now costing me even more money to fix on top of that. $750 for just the part for a issue that I've been bringing it in for time and time again. $750 not including service charge. So I paid money and have taken whole days to try and fix a car issue that will now cost me even more money on top of the money I already spent for them to "fix the issue". they told me multiple times "the issue is fixed." Only on the third time did the air compressor issue come up but the other times it was good to go? And I was told it was fine ? Your lying to your customers and using predatory business practices. The other reviews are similar stories. Just because people bring used cars to you doesn't mean you can get away with it. And all the while THEY STILL HAVE NOT EVEN FIGURED OUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. So I paid for a check engine light fix to be told it was taken care of when the issue was never actually taken care of. They literally have not fixed the two issues that they were paid for, but will tell me that the issue is fixed and the car is good. All for it to end up costing more money. Waste of time and money horrible business would not recommend you go for any issue unless it's maintenance work and hopefully they can handle that. read more

Do not go to this tire supplier! Firstly, they have VERY limited high quality tires actually in stock onsite. If you are a customer who knows your tires and have done your research, I can tell you with 100% certainty that your high quality tire choice WILL NOT be onsite here. That's the first issue. Secondly, I have now lost almost TWO. Business days of work and had to utilize vacation time to get tires put on my car!!!! Think that's beyond absurd? So do I! On 12/16 (a Friday) when I go to the shop their front desk person tells me the tire I want isn't in stock- have to order it. She tries to sell me a lesser grade tire they do have. I tell her no. So, she checks their database and tells me their supplier has the ones I want- Michelin Premiere A/S. By the way, when runs to purchase order into their computer she inputs THE WRONG TIRE SIZE!! Yes, you read that correctly- I only noticed it because I reviewed the printout receipt and see it there. She attempts to tell me that "the printer created the wrong number but it's correct in the system." Even my nine year old knows that makes absolutely NO SENSE. Then, she re-runs the transaction again to correct the error. Can you believe that? A tire store getting your tire size wrong! She ASSURES me it will arrive at their store by 12/18 BEFORE 10:00 AM and that THEY will call me about arrival OR if there is a problem. On 12/18 after 10AM I've heard nothing. I call them and she tells FIRST that the supplier DOESN'T carry these tires and they CANCELED my order!! What!!!?? Tells me the upfront payment of $460.00 has been refunded to me. I check my back balance and see NO refund. I call them back and she THEN tells me that the supplier DOES have the tires but can't deliver them until 12/19 before 10AM. Iv'e now already lost three hours of personal time. Oh...and the order being canceled and my money refunded? She tells me on the phone it did t happen!!! What?!?!?! WTF kind of business is this!? On 12/19 I show up IN the store based on her ASSURANCE the tires will be in before 10AM. I arrive before 9AM. At 10AM after sitting on stained "waiting room" chairs - actually just their "showroom" over one hour I politely ask her I'd the tires have arrived. Okay...so, wait for it...she THEN tells me they won't arrive until 11:00AM. I have now spent TWO days and lost over five hours of personal leave from work to get TIRES, people!!!! WTF! As of writing this it's 10:16AM and I'm still sitting here. I will post an update if these tires ever actually arrive! The ONLY reason I used this place originally is because it's the only place in the Bronx that actually has a Nitrogen fill machine. Which I've been been having put in my tires for over six years. I bought my Hyundai Elantra GT to Coop City Tire at 9AM on a Monday, with a leaking gas tank and a troubled suspension. I was told it would be an hour before they could inspect the vehicle. After waiting an hour In the empty waiting area of there empty shop I decided to leave vehicle with my cell phone# and walk home. I live (5) minutes walking distance from this establishment. Four hours later at 2PM I call to find out status of fuel tank and suspension inspection. I'm told "your suspension is fine and we're looking for a replacement gas tank you can come back and wait or wait for me to call you", I decided to wait for his call. After not hearing from Coop City Tire, I call the next day, Wednesday and was told the gas tank could only be found at the dealer and it would take 6 days to deliver a $900 gas tank from a dealer that has a parts and servicing dept. literally right around the corner. I'm positive that my fuel tank and suspension were not inspected. For my troubles and time I was charged a $42 diagnostic fee. I bought my vehicle to a neighboring mechanic who found fuel to be leaking from fuel line, not the tank and I needed rear shocks and springs. I used to do business with Coop City Tire years ago, they were always a bit pricey but vehicle service was impeccable..not anymore!! CoopCity Tire is obviously under new management. My advice is to keep your guards up when doing biz with these new guys. read more

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! I ordered 4 continental tires but they didn't have in stock and was told to come in the next day. After I came in the next day and waited 20 minutes, I was told the wrong tires were sent and to come in the following day. Day 3 I show up and all appears well. Midway while my tires are being changed I check the new tires and they are Goodyears!! Not continentals!!! I see the contract the guy is holding and they changed the entire contract to show goodyears when mine says continentals!! The guy plays dumb and offers to have the correct ones ordered. I wasn't going to wait hours for continentals so I took the goodyears at a bs discount. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! They are crooks!! read more

I had just Left my trusted mechanic who said I needed a new right front tire which had had a Flat, but they pulled the bait and switch and said I needed 3 NEW tires. I went through My notes and they pulled up my account on their computer that showed I bought 4 new Tires last year & that was ONLY 20,000 ago. Hit a huge pot hole on 95 and limped into Co-op City Tire. They did a great job of getting me on my way as quickly as possible.

As a loyal customer of many years, I had them check my car for a possible hole in my exhaust system. After two hours they gave me an estimate of $1071 dollars to replace my entire exhaust system, I told them that was to high price that I could not afford, so they promptly charged me a $15.00 lift fee and sent me on my way. Two weeks later I found a small muffler shop they showed me that the muffler was rusted. It took them 45min to replace it and charged me $200 dollars. CO-OP City tire supply will nickel and dime you so watch out. read more
