Came across Coach's Canteen with the help of Yelp!!! We were not disappointed. The place did look like an older diner. Good music playing. Fish tank needs some attention . Food was really good. I had the Patty Melt and fries. Patty Melt was delicious. The onions on there made it taste good. Fries cooked and seasoned well. We enjoyed talking with the owner he was very personable. Unfortunately the ice cream is really crystally so I stopped coming here. Decided to try it again tonight and waited 35 minutes for regular ice cream in a cup, no toppings. There was only one other customer in the shop. When it finally came it really wasn't good and we had to toss it. I haven't eaten any regular food here, so maybe it's good! But I'd skip the soft serve unless you prefer a not creamy style. read more

0 stars- FOUR times I have been in the store more than 40 minutes before close and the teenagers behind the desk tell me they're closed. ( one of the times was an hour AFTER open and they told me they were "working on machines and couldn't serve me" ) If you need to change your hours, please say it on the front chalkboards. read more

We all know grocery shopping on an empty stomach is dangerous and I had to run to the Publix next door so I decided to stop for lunch first. It's a small place with a simple menu making it a perfect lunch stop. You'll find burgers, dogs, and other sandwiches on the menu. I had the smashburger with fries and some mozzarella sticks... comfort food at its finest. My friend had a Philly cheesesteak and a caesar salad. I think the guy was confused on the salad because he asked what dressing she wanted and said he didn't have caesar. Then she ended up with a house salad at the table. Not a big deal, but salads may not be there strong suit. Some kids came in for soft serve and I was jealous, but I over ordered for lunch so no dessert for me. I didn't realize they do breakfast too so I'll have to come check that out next. read more

The attached is a picture that I took before I started eating. The white lettuce, the few strands of onion, and a pale tomato. I also had one piece of bacon, which appears to have been cooked a while back. Not crispy at all either. $4.50 for a small container of french fries... Those, however, were good and hot. Just some constructive criticism! Someone is to heavy handed with the salt. French fries although good to salty. Potato salad could have been tasty but again too much salt. Reuben sandwiches, the corned beef was so tough could not even eat it. When you purchase a sandwich you expect to bite into it and enjoy it. I'm really happy with my experience here at the Canteen yesterday. I was at a local horse stable with my kids and ordered online for a specific time for the meal to be ready, so that we could eat while driving home in traffic. Online ordering was really easy. Arrived at the location to find plenty of free parking. Walked in and he knew right away that I was there for the pickup order. I guess I had that look on my face. He asked some clarification questions about my order, and it was ready within a few moments. The food itself was excellent. I ordered the smash burger, and I think there were three smashed patties in there. Flavors were on point, and I couldn't have been happier. The kids were very happy with their meals too. I was moving in nearby and needed quick bites . I walked over to coaches and not only did I get fast bites but super delicious bites . It was mid day and I hadn't had breakfast from my morning of unpacking so I had the coaches burger - their breakfast burger . It was absolutely delicious- a hash brown- fried egg - American cheese & crispy bacon with a creamy and tad spicy aioli . I also treated myself to a Mic Ultra as I was pleased to see they serve beer and wine as well . It was just the perfect little break from my move . I'm so glad I know it's so close to my new home . Turn between giving three and four stars. Hours on Google, yelp and website don't match. Don't make the same mistake I did and go just to find out that they are not opened, call first. Almost didn't come back after that first time when it was closed. Had left a voicemail and asked that someone call me as I wanted to clarify the hours. No one ever called me back. Having said that, I decided to give them one more chance as breakfast options are limited in this area. My husband had an egg, Taylor ham and cheese sandwich on their homemade Portuguese roll. It was excellent, tons of meat! Highly recommend. I had the three pancake meal which came with bacon or sausage, 2 eggs and a hash brown. It was average, I wouldn't order it again but I would definitely go back for their egg sandwiches. Can't comment on lunch or soft serve but will be back to try those at a later date. Disappointed that they don't recycle. Place was very clean. Also, would have preferred to have the food served on something other than the take out containers when eating in. read more

This place is the PERFECT family eatery! Classic American food that's delicious and very reasonably priced! Plus, they have a walk-up soft serve ice cream window with a plethora of toppings and a outdoor space/field for the kids to run off their energy. My kids don't get excited about eating out, but we just left and they are already asking when we can go back. That's a HOME RUN in my opinion. The staff is incredibly friendly too.
