A third update, giving them some love. I had a burger, and my husband had fried fish - we shared the HUGE salad and his fries. We both had a cocktail. It was good food and a beautiful day. I also, mid-order, wanted to change my seat for a better view, and the waitress was nothing but kind about this. We live out in Ravenel now, and don't always get over here, but we've been there 3 times now and it has always been a fun experience.

We visited for lunch and couldn't have had a better experience. Super helpful and friendly service and our meals were delicious and generously portioned. Mom had the fried green tomato caprese and I opted for the shrimp poboy. Plan to come back soon! Ok next day update. Came back with another family member. Similar great experience. We had the flounder bites appetizer and the she crab soup. Sat at bar and totally enjoyed. Awesome, friendly, responsive service.

Been coming here for 2 years now. Unbelievable beautiful setting. And terrific menu. Some of the best seafood offerings in ALL of Charleston area. And they actually improved! Had a wonderful jambalaya! Add that to a delicious flounder bites appetizer. Top notch service. Our waiter Becca was attentive, friendly and informative with absolute sincerity. She was absolutely A-1. Live music was superb. Wish I caught the name! Acoustic duet with great originals. Knew the demographics, but didn't pander. This place is a wonderful alternative to the Shem Creek zoo.

The view is amazing. Who would even know this place is here. Tucked away near the bridge. And they had good food and live music outdoors.

My wife has a fish allergy and they offered to prepare a vegetable plate for her. They prepared three vegetable dishes, which were all excellent. He recommended the boulliabase which was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it to anyone. My wife also had the arugula salad, which was excellent. I started with the chicken liver pate, which is all it is claimed to be. I honestly did not think that the blue crab ravioli was anything special. In fact I could have skipped that dish and had been fine and would've had more room to finish the shrimp in the boulliabase. Desserts were outstanding. Chocolate budin (pudding) was delicious. Rice pudding was also quite nice with the fresh strawberries. The place itself was nice. Dark lighting. They did a great job of staggering seatings so you're not sitting on top of each other. Wonderful meal and night.

Maybe that was intentional to not overpower the ham... Golden tile fish was one of the best fish dishes I've ever had perfectly cooked and the flavors balanced so well. Wife's bavette steak was excellent with the peppers. Potato purée was not worth the price at all. $16 for some pretty good mashed potato's, I don't care how good a potato is or who you are, that's just insane to me. Last complaint was there was a film of dust lining the wall we were sat next to. So all in all, some really good dishes. I would love to come back, but the price is pretty high to have those imperfections.

Brace yourselves--this is going to be a long one, because this experience deserves every bit of it…read more We recently had the opportunity to do a chef's tasting at Honeysuckle Rose, and from the very first interaction, it was clear this wasn't going to be your average night out. We had a bit of a hiccup to start--we couldn't find our gift card (of course). I called and spoke with Kelleanne, and I have to say, this is truly where the experience began. She was warm, understanding, and genuinely funny, turning what could have been a stressful moment into something easy and even enjoyable. She handled everything with kindness and grace, and it set the tone for the evening ahead. A couple of days before our reservation, we received a confirmation call from James--but not the typical kind. He asked thoughtful, personal questions: who my guest would be, our water preferences (yes, really), allergies, absolute no-go foods, and even a song that held meaning to us. At that point, our curiosity was fully piqued. When we arrived, the space immediately stands out. It's very dark--blacked-out windows, black walls, black ceiling--and it's all completely intentional. Before the meal began, Kelleanne explained that the goal is to create an intimate dinner party atmosphere, where you forget the outside world and fully immerse yourself in the experience. And it works. It really works. At your seat, you're given what feels like an invitation--that's your menu for the evening. Each course is introduced by chef River and sommelier Mary Kate, adding a personal and thoughtful touch to every dish. I won't go course-by-course (we'd be here all night), but just know: every single one was worthy of praise. Chef River is absolutely crushing it. We were lucky enough to sit at the chef's counter, which I highly recommend if you can swing it. Watching chefs River, Ryan, and Trae work was like witnessing a perfectly choreographed performance. After each course, every surface was meticulously cleaned--counters wiped, stoves reset--everything returned to pristine condition before the next dish began. It was as impressive as the food itself. And it doesn't stop there. You notice Cody in the back, carefully polishing each glass and plate to perfection. Every single person on the team is fully invested in making this an extraordinary experience--and that's exactly what it is. What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail and the personal touches. Maybe you get an extra bite, a meaningful story from Mary Kate, or a surprise dessert to celebrate something special. There's an element of the unexpected that makes the evening feel uniquely yours. We left completely blown away. Not just by the food, but by the people. Kelleanne and Ryan are the kind of individuals you genuinely enjoy watching succeed--they bring something special to the entire experience. And a quick note for those who notice the details (like I do): even the bathroom is stunning--beautifully designed and just as intentional as everything else in the space. If you're looking for something truly different, immersive, and unforgettable--this is it. Don't think twice. Book the reservation. We'll absolutely be back, and we're already looking forward to exploring their other concepts.

When we went, there wasn't anything that really caught my eye as a main, so we decided to eat tapas style and try a few different options. The taste or "appetizer" menu was my favorite that night. In addition to the bread service and a bottle of wine, we ordered four different options to taste and the spaghetti. The flavors and textures were amazing. I didn't expect to have a spaghetti dish to have such deep and complex flavors. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, and helped make our dining experience spectacular. The interior of the restaurant is stunning, and it's unexpectedly huge. We finished with a desert that was out of this world. It looked like it would taste like a brownie, but the mouse was amazing and the brownie was baked perfectly. That's what I'm looking for when I want a desert! For food, I tried the fried catfish entree and Green apple-cauliflower soup. Both dishes were good. The fish was very tender and juicy. The butter bean succutash, which I never had before, contained butter beans, black eyed peas, corns, green and red peppers and red onions. It was delicious but since beans are of high FODMAP, I only had a little. The fish was topped with tomato jam made with crushed tomatoes, onions and sugar. It was served chilled. Paired well with the fish and succutash. The soup was creamy, silky, and full of flavor from cauliflower. The pistachio added some crunchiness to it. The taste of "green apple" was not obvious; in fact I was expecting there to be some apple slices, which could add extra texture and sourness to this rich soup. I also asked for a side of sourdough. A bit too salty for me. The service was kinda slow, except that food came out in reasonable amoutn of time **after I placed the order**, that is, I waited quite a while to order my food. The same for doing the check. I guess it was because there were not many staff at lunchtime, and most of them were senior thus could move as fast as young ppl.

I have read about nightmare parking but did not experience that at all. Zoomed right in. Yes, it was eleven bucks. I don't mind paying and refuse to get myself worked up over it. Ask for an outside table and no sooner did we sit down, the dolphins showed up!!! I consider myself an expert on dolphin spotting and had to show the table of 5 college age young ladies where they were located. They loved them as well. Who knew they would be so active in the middle of a busy waterway? As a former boat owner, I love watching those huge honkin' boats parallel park in between the baby ones. I do not have that skill , but it's entertaining to watch. Tyler was our server and was nice and attentive. Drinks were cold and quite good. I ordered a house Chardonnay and it was Cambria.
