Smooch loves to play with Jennifer when she comes to visit.

Jennifer is amazing. She is super pleasant and my pets love her. She walks my dogs a couple of times a week so they can get out of the house. They are so much happier and less bored now that she comes to visit them. (I have a pending foot surgery scheduled so I need help walking the dogs).

Slider just loves Jose, his pet sitter
April A.

CV pets deserves a good review as far as watching my pups, however the owner watched my dogs and drank my 150.00 champagne out of my fridge

I did leave them and was not really happy with the results. I took them two days later to the Barking Lot Cathedral City. Fabulous

I would like to preface this review by explaining that my husband and I have been going to PetSmart…read morefor decades. In 2011, we adopted our beloved cat Ting, and in 2014 we adopted our beautiful Husky Tikka from one of the rescues working with PetSmart in El Segundo. Since then, we have been taking Tikka to be groomed periodically. As you can see from the photos, she's a beautiful, fluffy Siberian Husky. Up until last year we were happy with the groomers at the PetSmart locations frequent. We had one minor issue with a groomer that did not tend to our dog at all, she was sent home not groomed. They had problems with all of the dogs that this one groomer saw. The groomer was let go and the customers were taken care of by the Culver City PetSmart. We have also been growing to the PetSmart in Palm Springs, and we have always had a good experience. Sadly, today we had a horrible experience with the groomer and the Manager. I dropped off my dog at 8:00 AM and was told my dog would be done in 2 1/2 hours, the usual timeframe. I also explained that she had been groomed over a month ago and they tended to her winter coat (early because of the weather), and as always, I added 15 minutes of extra brushing and Oatmeal shampoo. One of the groomers suggested using a fumenator, and both my Husband and I exclaimed NO! You do not use furnimators on Huskys, it damages their coat and they shed the small cut hairs everywhere. That suggestion flew up a red flag for me, but I let it go because we've never had a bad experience at this PetSmart. At 10:30 we did not receive a call as expected, so I called at 11:00. They told me it would be at least another 40 minutes I called it 12 and the groomer said that she was ready to go and that they had to take off a lot of hair which was kind of surprising to me that she would make that statement, and I started to become concerned. When I got there, I was handed a bill with an additional charge for $20.00 for an extra 30 minutes of brushing, which I did not authorize, and I was not called about it, it was just put on the bill. I asked to speak with the manager. The Manager really couldn't care less that the groomers added a charge without authorization and didn't care that it took 4 hours for them to get to me. Instead here response was it was in the normal grooming time frame and "what do you want me to do?" I became afraid for my dog; something was very wrong. I had brushed her last week before she went to the vet and she has her normal spring coat, which protects her from the elements, no mats. The huge pile of dog fur she showed me made me even more afraid. I did not have my dog and could not get her without paying. So, I went up to the front to pay so I could get her and the groomer. While I was waiting for my Joanna said she had a lot of mats and undercoat that she had to brush out. I was getting more and more concerned. Once they brought her out, it was easy to see the bald patches. I was shocked and just wanted to get out of there. This groomer is a complete arrogant ignoramus, I use that term not as an insult but as an accurate description. You will see from the pictures that she pulled out her summer coat, leaving bald patches throughout her body. This groomer, Joanna should never touch another dog for the rest of her life and should be terminated immediately. I have attached photos and a video and I'm contacting the corporate office. I'm furious with what this girl did to my sweet dog. She would have literally had to pull out my dogs fur to create this kind of damage.

Right at the entrance, a local rescue had puppies up for adoption. It was more than just cute--it was heartwarming. Staff and volunteers were both passionate and ingratiating: They took the time to introduce each pup and talk to interested families. It wasn't just a display--it was a chance to make a real connection, and you could feel it. When the line at checkout started to build, one of the employees didn't hesitate--immediately opened another register without being asked. That kind of customer service is so rare these days, and I immediately noticed it. It kept things moving and let the old lady at the front take her time. What really struck me, though, was the atmosphere. People chatted with each other in the aisles about pets, swapped advice on the best dog beds, and pointed out toys their pets loved. The staff was right there in sharing their experiences and expertise in equal measures--friendly, helpful, and clearly there for the animals. PetSmart wasn't just a place to shop--it was a place where animal lovers connected. Efficient, caring, and full of heart. I'll definitely be back.

I called barking lot and asked if they had any appointments available. They gave me Joey's INFORMATION one of the Groomers at Barking Lot who made the time & was able to fit my neighbors dog. This was her first visit to the Groomers. I was pretty nervous about how Chanel, that's the dog's name would react to her first Groomers visit. Well, I'm glad to say that Joey was amazing with her. He did such a great job! I was so happy with how Chanel looked ... that a few weeks later I brought my 4 1/2 year-old Chihuahua Pomeranian, also known as a Pomchi. I called Joey to see if he had any thing available for the Fourth of July weekend. He was wonderful. He was able to squeeze My Mini-me first thing in the morning on the Fourth of July. Thank you so much Joey for being so accommodating but more importantly for making my Mini-Me look fabulous! If you're looking for a local groomer where your dog will be treated like a princess like mine was, I would definitely recommend this place! Mini-me is definitely happier. As it our first time finding a new groomer here, we found this place. Spoke with someone regarding booking and it was quite easy. They were able to get in us first thing in the morning at 9. When we got there, a little earlier there was also someone waiting with their little ones. Once we checked in, the gentlemen behind the register was the sweetest. The warm greeting and the usual detail exchanged made the process very easy. Jose was the groomer, believe that was his name. The sweetest and welcoming. The usual chit chat on what we wanted and that was that. The place looked well kept and clean. I believe you're also able to bring your pup in for a bathing as well. The quick introduction, instructions and explanation and we were on our way. It's located in a strip mall off the main strip so you could also get all your errands done. Of course some things were done while we waited. It was about an hour and half till it was time for pick up. They do text/call to let you know. The place was great and the staffs were all very friendly and professional. We did feel welcome which is alway a plus everywhere. Pricewise was good. I believe it's based on size and what services maybe needed. Obviously if certain things is needed, then additional fee is added on. Jose was a doll and very sweet. Took very good care of our little one. Seemed like we may have found something new here.

While I would give Vetco and their…read moreaccessibility to affordable shots five stars, the customer service part of the store itself is lacking. After spending time in line at the clinic and then trying to pay with Apple Pay, which was down, I asked if I could use the restroom. I was told that they are not open to the public. Hmmmm.......I think the slogan for Petco is, " Where the pets go.'" Well, they don't let humans use their bathroom even as a paying customer with a 17-year-old dog in mid-July. When I got back to the car it said it was 110 degrees. The initially polite cashier who later claimed on the phone to also be the manager recommends you go to Aldi with your pet in tow as "theirs are really nice." I get how businesses have to crack down on who uses their facilities due to theft and just lack of respect for cleanliness, but being denied usage of a facility where you have non-service animal is a bit ridiculous because, well, they're a PET store. He even seemed happy with himself for the recommendation (like doing me/us a favor?) which didn't help solve my problem. So I decided to call and speak to the manager and it turns out he was/is the manager. Another hmmmm. If that's the case, he needs to work on his soft skills or at the very least have signage that indicates there is no public bathroom as policy. I remember the Palm Springs location associate once said to me they recommend TJ Maxx's bathroom next door. He acted the same way like it was a bro tip. So this seems to be a pattern and I'm not sure how these other corporations feel about being the rest stop for a neighbor. I drove to Petsmart down the street and used their restroom with no issue with my dog, bought something I didn't really need, and donated $2 to their charity of the day. Kinda felt more like a bathroom fee but good karma or dogma comes back around. When you gotta go....you gotta go.
