I came here a couple months ago with a large party and it was quite the experience. The place itself looked run down but was on the cleaner side. When we entered, we were seated and our waitress warned us that she wasn't a server, she was a bartender so give her some leeway. We went during dinner time but the place itself was pretty vacant. We ordered our food and most of us wanted the famous crab sandwich or crab cakes, so she put in the order and left. About 10 minutes later, she explained that they ran out of stock because it was sold out due to being featured on the news. So everyone ordered something different. We ended up waiting almost an hour for mediocre food. There was one soft shell crab left so we got it and split. It was very disappointing, the crab itself was tiny, and the quality of the. seafood was poor. Nobody was able to finish what was on their plate even though we were starving from waiting so long. I would not recommend this spot, service was okay, wait time was too long, and the food was mid. read more

BEWARE: NEVER GOING BACK. The total cost INCLUDES GRATUITIY!!!!!! NOT WORTH IT. (We had 4 adults and a child who brought their own food, so not a table of 6 or more like most restaurants). We paid $160 for the worst experience we've ever had in the entire chains of restaurants in Solomons Island. So here's what happened: Called and got a reservation 20 min before arriving. No wait time and super easy to schedule. Nice hostess! Was seated right away. However, service pretty much stopped there. Several "I'm sorry" statements were being made around us. Two couples had been having issues with food delivery. One got up and left. The other patiently waited but their food came out totally separate from each other. Then our food. 1. We ordered about 20 min after arriving. (Unacceptable). One drink was nearly 30 min after arrival. 2. We ordered appetizers (thankfully; you'll see why). BUT! when I ordered I said "I would like two half dozen oysters, half raw and half steamed." They said "we don't have steamed" so I said "fried is fine". We ordered hush puppies, crab dip, 1/2 lb shrimp. Problem: When it all came out, we had 24 oysters (12 raw and 12 fried). I asked for two HALF dozens. (6 + 6 =12). ($34 extra dollars). Which also made no sense bc this was the sub total before tax. (The 6 were $15.99 each meaning at most they should've been $32, or less for double). We in the industry know what I mean. (2 for $5 or 4 for $9 kind of idea) 3. Appetizers came out and were sub par. I mean you can't ruin raw oysters unless....you don't automatically bring out the fixings (it only came out with red wine vinegar). I had to ask for lemons, cocktail and hot sauce. The fried ones that came out did have cocktail sauce with them. *the raw oysters were amazing.** . (We couldn't get the last 5 down* **the fried oysters were cold and soggy **his puppies were cold **crab dip was crab and sour cream with mozzarella broiled on tops and some garlic/butter. Not fancy - def not worth the price **shrimp was overdone and bland. (We asked for them to be seasoned in old bay). They actually just "brought out" old bay lol About 15-20 more minutes has gone by at this point (so in total about 45-50 minutes, and we still hadn't been asked if we wanted dinner. 3. We ordered dinner. (By this time it's 1hr after we arrived). We ordered 1 cheese burger, 1 fries order, 1 cup of soup. By 25-30 min later, they still hadn't arrived. So my husband got up and said what's the deal with our order, if it isn't started we aren't buying. *They* hadn't * even * started * the * ORDER!!! (Or told us!) Service: 4. For an hour and a half, during this entire ordeal, not one manager came out to check on us and it was never explained that we were on a delay (a significant delay). It took forever to get silverware. We had to go in to ask for drink refills. We never even got extra napkins. Our server came out once every 10-15 minutes (maybe?) (us having to prompt the server to ask for our dinner was bad enough). 5. As we were leaving, we explained this to the "hostesses" which we think one of them was actually the manager (older lady) and her response was: Manager: "Yeah we're behind about 45 minutes, because everyone was seated at once." and continued to reprimand the SWEET hostess, (on 5/24/25) about "why it's important to not seat everyone at once" I would've walked right out of that job. What horrible attitude to have with your customers. Extremely unprofessional!!! Also, "everyone" was not seated in or outside of restaurant when we seated. The flow of traffic was possible to stay on track but obviously the kitchen/bar and management have a serious lack of communication. In the industry there are certain times of the day that you should expect to get an influx of people and be prepared. There was a concert going on too (a huge one) and people DID start flowing in, but you can tell by the yelp reviews, this is a systematic problem for this restaurant. Most restaurants I've been to in the area have no issue and are also small. There were tons of people handling the tickets by the bar and you could see the waitstaff was frantic. *What you didn't see was management. Not coming around to help, not explaining the problem to anyone, and TONS of empty tables with JUST raw oysters on them. They need Bar Rescue to come in and give them some help. I want so much to give this place a second chance. The food we had was good enough to consider trying it again, but at that price point, and that type of process/service -- we likely will never go back. Which a huge shame. The steamed crabs were local, fresh and exactly what we were hoping for. The oysters were great as well. But the service stands out. Laura was welcoming and attentive. The hostess was pitch perfect, also. Best Mai Tai in Solomons, as well. Happy to come back ANYTIME. read more

LOVED this place! Music, good drinks, friendly staff, on the water - what more could you really want? We came in about 4:50 with no reservations on a Saturday. How incredibly hidden and unexpected. This gem is right on the water and our 5 year old LOVED their fries and Mac and cheese. John made her chocolate milk in the back to accommodate us and every single piece of food we had was divine. The crab ball entree was soooo filling. I couldn't even finish the calamari (crunchy and the sauce was clearly homemade with so much love). My husband had the platter and I wish I took a photo because it's now an empty plate. Writing this review while sitting in the restaurant. It's that good. We WILL be back by next week. Well, I left an earlier review where I said that I didn't understand some of the poor reviews here - now I get it. We've been coming here since they opened and especially loved the soft shell crab sandwiches. Today was a real miss. We waited two minutes shy of an hour (!) to get our food, having arrived at 1:30. After finally going inside to see if they'd forgotten us, the food finally came and was a real disappointment. Instead of the handmade rolls they used to serve, these were limp potato rolls, and rather than the handmade chips that were so, so good on previous visits, we got the dregs and crumbs from the bitter end of a bag of ruffled potato chips. I immediately asked what the story was and was offered some fries instead. Agreed, but got a 2/3s full bowl of what could only have been frozen crinkle cut fries. And when the bill came, they charged me $7 for the "complimentary" fries! The manger was kind enough to discount the soft shells, but what a huge disappointment. I really hope that the friends I've steered to this establishment had a better experience than we did. I certainly won't be going back. After a really promising start when they opened, this is now nothing more than just another tourist trap. read more

We made reservations the day before with no problem. Upon arriving, we were told there was a day party going on (for the owners birthday, open to all) and asked if we would rather sit inside or on the patio. We chose the patio, which thankfully was in the shade. Service was excellent, our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was mixed. Hush puppies were delicious. We both got the Norfolk combo with broiled crab, shrimp, and scallops plus 2 sides. The shrimp and scallops were cooked well, but everything was practically flavorless, especially the crab. The dish was quite watery as well. Green beans and fries were straight out of a bag/can and were nothing special. For the price, food was very disappointing. Atmosphere was noisy due to the party. If we had been told that there was going to be a loud party when we made reservations, we would have probably come on a different day. read more

Arrived on a Friday night around 6. We chose this spot because of the live music, which was good when they played. The small 2 man band was at the bar more than singing. For a Friday night, they were out of a lot of what we asked for. No duck fat fries, no green beans, no kale, and my burger came with no roumelade sauce. They didn't bother to tell me and sent it out with nothing on it. Ended up using ketchup. The seafood we ordered was fine. The waiter, Landon, was a sweetheart, and you could tell he felt bad everytime they were out of something. Our party agreed we probably won't be back. read more

We had wonderful late lunch here in August. We ate inside, they had outside tables available too. I had their premium margarita which was awesome. We started with the crab dip which we really liked. It had a subtle seasoning that accented the crab. For dinner/lunch I had their filet and lobster tail with slaw and fries. I had the lobster broiled and it was cooked perfect. So many places over cook seafood but this was great. I put some of the crab dip on the steak which was also fabulous. My wife got the steamer bucket (can't remember the exact name). She loved crab legs which she said were cooked perfect. It was a lot to eat so she took the shrimp home. The service was awesome with a Navy spouse taking care of us. We never waited for anything and the manager stopped by to make sure we were happy We were extremely happy with whole experience. Some of those restaurants on the water let their location be the whole thing and they don't have much for food quality. This place has both. We are definitely going back. read more

We enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was freshly made and delicious. We were part of a large group and we were we taken care of.

We went yesterday for the first time. THE ABSOLUTE BEST fried and raw oysters I have ever had. The chipotle ranch dressing we dipped the fried oysters in was amazing! We also had oyster rockerfeller and the crab dip was full of meat! The crab soup was delish also. Appetizers are half for Sunday football! We ate at the bar and Devante and Brian were amazing bartenders! I see bad reviews and that is quite unfortunate because I know where I will be Sunday! Next Sunday I am trying the wings and of course more oysters! We ordered 36 of them between the two of us! The ambience was nice. You can see the water and they played nice music. We introduced ourselves to the owner and told him how happy we were with our experience. I am very picky when it comes to food so this place nailed it! The prices are extremely high for the quality of food. The 2 drinks we ordered...the orange crush was watered down, and the sex on the island wasn't made properly ! I'm not impressed at all. The fried oysters were under cooked & soggy! WHAT? HOW? The service was fair. The server didn't know the menu. As for the ambiance ,we sat outside and watched a charter boat dock! On Thursday night, August 29th, we had dinner at Coast to Coast, the new restaurant that's taken over the old Stoney's building in Solomons Island, and let me just say--YUM! We decided to try something new and local, so we gave this place a shot. Unsure about the seating situation, I made a reservation through Google Assistant, which was promptly accepted. When we arrived, the hostess was extremely friendly and seated us immediately, even though we were a couple of minutes early. They even had a table reserved with a sign for us! To our delight, there was live music--a gentleman playing acoustic guitar with a mix of island vibes, yacht rock, and classic rock. It was the perfect soundtrack for the evening. Our waitress, Boo, was fantastic! She made our dining experience even better with her attentive service. She suggested items and shared her favorites. Everything we had was fantastic and the portions were on par! Overall, Coast to Coast exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend giving it a try. We need this gem to stay around! read more

Ordered seafood platter. It was disappointing at best. Consisted of crabcake, 3 shrimp, 3 scallops. 2 pieces of white fish, 3 tiny oysters, soft shell crab and 2 sides. Portion was good size, but taste and quality were poor. Cole slaw was good. French fries ok. I made mistake of ordering broiled, but the soft shell was very weird without breading. The food was only mediocre in quality with no seasoning and not fresh. I expect fresh catfish not frozen fillets. Their crab was not favored with anything and the stuffing for the mushrooms was not lump or claw but the special. The chicken breast was grilled dry and the bacon was cooked at least a day ago and was hard as a rock. The service was adequate although needing a little more training. When your table has been sitting 45 minutes you bring bread or chips or something. The idea of a dockside bar was great until you have unsupervised children running in and out the doors with a breeze blowing the food and drinks and napkins off the tables. The music went from Sunday afternoon to Saturday club night. It was good music but much too loud and didn't fit the style of the restaurant. It was decorated in coastal town but there was just something a little off. The staff was gracious and friendly but their kitchen was not helping them at all. Timing, visuals, and flavors were all lacking. We are going to be in the area for our child's time at college at least three or four times a year but unless there is a drastic improvement we will not be returning. There are too many really good seafood restaurants on Solomon's island to waste time on a mediocre one especially one which ended with a bill of $125 for three people. read more

Had lunch on a Friday. I'm not sure how a seafood restaurant can be out of so many things before a weekend dinner rush but it was almost comical. Fried soft shell crabs were not good & so soggy, broiled crab cakes were just OK, the $21.99 crab balls (3) with fried green tomato appetizer (they were out of the tomatoes yet still $21.99) + out of French fries, remolaude, coleslaw and who knows what else. Server was very nice & attentive but they need to go grocery shopping ASAP! read more

First and LAST time! Honestly, if I could give 0 stars, I would. The one star is only for Shanice and the male server who I saw actually doing his best to work a large party in the separate dining area. My family & I (party of 11) were excited to attend the R&B brunch w/ CJ (Dj Drumma) on Saturday, July 12th. Our reservation was for 12. We were greeted by the hostess and sat when majority of our party was there by 12:10. There was a female server working the main dining area and a male server working a private party. We sat for over 30 minutes without being acknowledged by the female server. We went to the hostess on 3 separate occasions to let her know we haven't been greeted nor served yet. Approximately 45 minutes after being seated, Shanice came over to help which I don't think she was actually supposed to be serving. We ordered bottomless mimosas which the flyer said $20 but the price on the brunch menu said $25 (false advertisement). It took maybe another 15-20 minutes to receive the first round of mimosas. We then ordered food off the brunch menu. About 1 hr passed and we still never received any food. We never even received glasses of water nor silverware. It was 10 minutes before 2 and DJ Drumma was wrapping up his session. We asked to cancel our food order bc was it even placed. If it wasn't for the vibes of the music from Dj Drumma, we would've left after the first half hour of not being acknowledged. We were told that the employees were there until 4am that morning from the previous night, therefore, a lot of them called out and there was only 1 cook and I believe 1 bartender. 1) The event should've been cancelled if there was a staff shortage or brunch maybe could've been buffet style only. 2) A bottle of champagne, glasses and a carafe of mixers could've been an option for people who opted to choose bottomless mimosas. It would've helped take some of the weight off the 1 bartender. THIS IS WHY I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE AT THE ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN: Our party later found out that the owner was sitting at a table near us basically the entire time. He never once walked around to greet anyone or check to see how things were going (how normal managers or owners do at other establishments). He never pitched in to help his staff take orders. He could clearly see things were chaotic and how stressed the workers looked. As far as the female server (not Shanice), she NEVER acknowledged our table even though she had to come by there to get in/out of the kitchen but helped every other table. We paid for the bottomless mimosas and left. We will never be back at Coast 2 Coast but will be sure to continue to support Dj Drumma at other establishments. read more

Excellent food and service! Very allergy-aware and conscientious! Eating out is a risk for those of us with serious allergies - I have an alphaGal allergy and C2C is the only restaurant where I have not had a reaction to a meal. My "go to." In addition, the owners, staff and patrons are so friendly - I love the vibe! They support local artists (art work and local musicians) and cater to locals as well as our seasonal guests to our Island. Love everything about this place!! read more
