We stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon. There are plenty of tv screens to enjoy the football game and a large bar area. It wasn't super busy when we arrived, but it still took about 10 minutes for any of the staff to acknowledge us. From there our service was fine, and the staff was nice (but not very knowledgeable). The menu was confusing; there were very few seafood options despite the name "Atomic Seafood". I tried the blackened haddock sandwich. The fish was barely seasoned and overall disappointing. We also tried the wings. The seasonings were all both bad and lacking. The Nashville dry rub wings had a coating of honey. The fries and pickle chips were okay. Overall, it was a disappointing meal and we would not go back. If you're just looking for a bar to enjoy a couple domestic beers during a football game with maybe a side of fries, this is probably a good fit for you. Buckets Bar, down the road, offers a similar atmosphere with better service, pricing, and quality of food. read more

Prices are kind of high. 26$ for land and sea (chicken and shrimp) was pretty high considering that the plate was basically mashed potatoes and a side of chicken and shrimp (see pictures). Stopped by at lunch time, on a Thursday. Place was empty. Service was prompt, and cheery. ordered a flounder sandwich, the fish was great, but the bun greasy with excessive coating (butter?)- filet slid out. Wife had the Pasta with Shrimp. while a bit watery sauce, the shrimp were large and plentiful. 12oz draft beer was very overpriced. 2 newer pinball machines in bar area. I have only had the gold wings cooked crispy. 4 times I have ordered it. The attention to being cooked crispy is always respected,and they are REALLY GOOD ! One day I'll try some other wing sauce. Atmosphere is cool. They are creating a fun place to hang. read more

Five stars for opening faster than I have ever seen a restaurant turn around! (2 months? Less?) Tonight our table was blessed with Hush Puppies w/ honey butter, Ahi Tuna Lettuce Wraps, Atomic Seafood Pasta, and the Sirloin Steak served with garlic masked potatoes and broccoli. Our fruit course was a Cran-Apple Mohito. The Hush Puppies couldn't have been more perfect... crunchy yum mines liaise and perfectly done on the inside. Served up with a house-made honey butter we couldn't decide if the butter was the perfect accompaniment or the hush puppies were the perfect serving utensil. The Ahi Tuna Lettuce wraps came with an abundance of marinated and seared Ahi served over slaw in romaine lettuce leaves. The sirloin was cooked to my perfect medium rare, was served over the most delectable garlic mashed potatoes, and broccoli that was cooked just to my liking. And then there was the seafood pasta. They weren't kidding when they said it was like having a big bowl of crab dip. Mussels, shrimp, and lump crab in a Cajun Alfredo sauce. We are only taking home leftovers because we ate all of the hush puppies and Ahi. The Cran-apple Mohito was every bit delicious as it was beautiful to look at. It's a bit of a drive for me but I will be back. This will be my stop for seafood before and after enjoying the water view at Solomons Island. I was in the area visiting a friend and decided to give this place a try. The interior is very chill and laid back and they have a "Touch Tunes" so you can select your own music choice. The bartender was very friendly and let us know about all the events they host and the weekly specials. Since this was just a quick stop, I only got their wings and they have a pretty cool selection of wing flavors. So I decided to try the "Hot Honey Old Bay" and the "Brown Sugar Buffalo" and they give you the option to get both Ranch and Blue Cheese dressing at no extra cost; which is a plus. Both of the flavors were super good and they give you a good mix of drums and flats. A order of wings comes with 8pcs for $12 and the cool part is they let you mix flavors. Based off of my wings experience I will definitely be back to try more of there food items plus more wing flavors. read more

UPDATED - OCTOBER 2024 I don't know why I started enjoying seafood only later in life, rather than earlier. Perhaps if I had tried Atomic's fish 'n' chips as a child, my life would have been different ! But I digress.... Recently I visited Atomic Seafood - first time since the re-opening - and thoroughly enjoyed my meal ! The breading on the haddock was just right ~ not too heavy; it reminded me of a delicate tempura batter. The tartar sauce was an excellent complement, not too sweet or too tangy. I'm a sucker for brussel sprouts, and Atomic's - with bacon and balsamic glaze - were excellent. And I loved my jalapeño margarita ! I have had jalapeño-infused tequila, and jalapeño margarita mix ... this was THE best. I'm not a local and don't know the regular vibe on any given night, but I saw happy people at the bar and couples and families in the dining area. If you haven't returned since the re-opening, do yourself a favor and go !! read more

I was way down in Lusby, Maryland when I stumbled upon this place called Atomic Seafood and Bar. Before I entered the establishment, I thought it was going to be more of a restaurant with a bar attached to it. This place looked more like a sports bar that happened to serve some seafood dishes, so at first I was a little concerned. Usually this style of restaurant means terrible food, and even worse seafood. However, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by my experience that day. The staff were very kind and extremely helpful, and the food was fantastic. We ordered the Homemade Crab Dip with Garlic Bread as an appetizer. It was amazing. It was creamy, crabby, and hot to the touch, and the garlic bread was a great serving platform for the dip. I highly recommend trying this dish. For our meal, we had the Blackened Haddock Sandwich with Homemade Tartar Sauce. The fish was nice and moist, and the blackening seasoning was so good with a bit of a spicy bite to it. The homemade tartar sauce was delicious as well. To make things even better, this restaurant serves some of the best French fries you could ever sink your teeth into. Those of you who have read my reviews before know I'm a diehard French fries guy. I just love them. The French fries at this place did not disappoint me at all. They were thick-cut, rectangular, and seasoned, like slivers of fried baked potato. So amazing. The only slightly negative things I have to mention are: 1.) The faucet and trash can in the restroom. It was a free floating trash can that had a broken lid, and was shoved under the sink counter containing a rusty faucet. This is your restaurant, and details in the bathroom reflex details in the kitchen. Invest some money into your business and get a new sink faucet and a trash can that affixes to the wall, or buy a new lid for the old one. 2.) There were storage boxes (looked like they took down the Christmas tree recently) out where customers could see them. Again, it reflects badly on your business. I am sure it might seem like I'm nitpicking, but details are important in the service industry. You are selling the customer the entire experience of dining in your restaurant, not just the food and drinks. All in all, I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area looking for a fantastic meal, and great service. read more

Stopped n for lunch today ordered a oranges crush to drink, it was a little on the bitter side. For lunch I ordered the fish tacos fried with it came out looking good. The fries had a great taste just wish they were cooked a little longer the fish on the tacos was fried perfectly they had a wasabi sauce on them that I didn't care fir wish they had like a coleslaw with a sweet n sour sauce or a sweet n spicy sauce. The meal was good just wish there was a different sauce. Will return to try some of the other items on the menu. read more

Meet the Head Chef, Ray, on my first visit. We talked about how he got into the business, the ups the downs, COVID, catering and his love for cooking! Never have I had such a wonderful conversation with a Chef in his domain. AND the food is absolutely fantastic!!! Learned about their Sunday brunches, meet some locals who are practically there everyday, no exaggeration. Had the Atomic Smash Burger with pickled jalapeños and 2 patties with an onion ring and it was the bomb. Also tried the Hush Puppies (which I am not a fan of anywhere), BUT, these puppies with the Honey Butter are the Winner. Will definitely be returning. read more

Ordered the Fried Seafood Basket to-go and everything was DELICIOUS. I travel all over the DMV area searching for new restaurants to experience, and I am absolutely floored that this little gem of an establishment is so close to my home! Everything in the basket: fish, shrimp, crab balls, hush puppies (with corn kernels inside, no less) was fried, battered, and seasoned to perfection. (I did pay an extra $2 to upgrade from fries to hush puppies.) The pièce de résistance: the crab balls. I bit into them and was met with pure crab meat, not a mouthful of filler. My palate thanks you. I will be back, as there were many items on the menu I was looking forward to trying. read more

A nice addition to the lusby food scene. Tucked away in the town square shopping center. Inside features a bar, several hi tops and some booths. Social distancing in place. Staff wear masks and gloves. Paper menus in use. Mostly seafood but some other items like the smash burger are available. We were greeted promptly and our server was ready to go. Tried the catfish po boy and the fish and chips. Fries are hand cut, hushpuppies are very nice and the homemade slaw is delicious. Prices are ok, about $14 for a po boy. Cannot stress enough how incredible every aspect of my first time dining here was. Full packed house, immediate seating and service. The smash burger and the Maryland crab soup were second to none. Crispy fries, not burnt. Medium well smash burger. First time I've never altered anything I've ordered. There is a TV that you could watch from outer space. The owners came to introduce themselves during our meal and ensure we were satisfied. 10 out of 10. An incredible lunch. read more

What can I say about this place- as a sister restaurant of Island Hideaway, the food is just as good! Friendly bartenders, decent beer selection, good sized shrimp and great fries! Honestly, my only complaint is that they don't have Heinz Ketchup ( if you know, you know) Definitely will be going back. So great to have great local food!! read more

I really really like this place. All the food is fresh and they have good prices on happy hour draft beers. They have a fairly simple menu, mostly greasy bar food if you're into that. The fries are fresh cut and fried to delicious crunchy. I have had the chicken sandwich, smash burger, fish and chips, prime rib cheese steak, onion rings as a different side. The employees are friendly and the service is great. It seems like a local place that people frequent. I have had the chicken sandwich both ways, the atomic sauce is great too, they won't tell me what's in it but I have an idea. Great place to go hidden in a little plaza. I hope the prices for the beer and food stay similar, I will keep coming here. Great place, now one of my favorites. One last thing, the smash burger is a cross between a really great Big Mac (not in a bad way) and a in and out burger. The bun was so so but it was toasted on the flat top. It's really really good, best burger between Annapolis and Solomons. The fresh fries really bring the whole thing together. They have trivia night on Wednesday. I heard they are going to expand into the next building. I kind of like it they way it is for the neighborhood and from what I can tell this place is never near full capacity when I have visited. Usually a fun and unexpected upbeat music selection. Things I would like to see: oyster po boy, oysters on the half shell on happy hour, maybe some classic padded oysters on your specials menu. We really hope this place doesn't close like the other joints that have been in it's location. Super friendly staff, quick service, and good food. The crab dip was some of the best we've ever had! The catfish on the po boy was tender, moist and flaky. The onion rings tasted good, but were a bit thick cut for my liking. The portions are big too. We headed here because we were huge fans of its sister restaurant (Island Hideaway) and wanted to try something new. The atmosphere was way more casual than we expected - and we loved it. It's a dive bar with amazing seafood on its menu and a lively karaoke crowd. The food was fantastic- we got the crabs and seasoned corn, and the drinks were strong. This place was a huge disappointment; we walked in and waited 5 minutes for someone to seat us when it was not busy. Too many employees were staring and not helping. Then we got our drinks, but no one came and took our order. We waited 20 minutes, and our order still was not taken. We got up and went to another restaurant in Lusby and had a much better experience. The employees were too busy joking around with everyone else at the bar but not paying attention to the customers sitting in the actual restaurant section. I had high hopes for the place because the menu looked pretty good and had mixed reviews throughout Lusby. I don't think I will be coming back at all. I hope they can get it figured out. read more

My husband and I were looking for lunch after spending the morning at Calvert Cliffs State Park. Atomic Seafood popped up on yelp, and it did not disappoint! We called ahead, paid over the phone, and they asked what kind of car we had, so they could bring out our meal. Super easy and fast! Lively spot with good energy and a full bar. Service was 5 stars and the food 4 stars. I enjoyed a tasty traditional margarita for only $6. They offers clam strips $8 as an appetizer on the special menu so I ordered it and they were fried to perfection. Go ahead a laugh but I can not count the number of times I've had strips that were NOT eatable. For the entree I had the seafood platter $25 (I piece of fried flounder, 3 shrimp and 2 crab balls, served with fries). You can select your fish, tonight they offered flounder, catfish or Mahi-mahi. The food was fresh and prepared well but lacked seasoning for my tastebuds. Except for the fries, they were well seasoned and delicious. The waitress gave me cocktail sauce and some of the house special hot sauce. This elevated the meal and I enjoyed the fish after some fresh lemon and the sauces added. It was a nice meal in a place with a really cool vibe. I'll definitely be back but know that I'll need to add my own jazz to their fresh seafood. read more

I always have a good time here, the bar staff is great and the food is great. The place is very open and not cramped.

On my first visit to Atomic I was underwhelmed. I expected to love it because their "sister" restaurant is one of my favorites. I ordered the hideaway tacos, this is an item their other restaurant has on the menu as well. The fish was over cooked and the tortillas were stale. My husband had a burger which he enjoyed and said was cooked well. We ate here again a few weeks ago and my experience was much better. I again ordered the hideaway tacos. The fish was cooked well and the tortillas tasted fresh. Their menu consists of mostly fried foods. I wish they had some additional menu items that weren't fried. Our last visit was on a Thursday and they were having live music, which we didn't know until we showed up. We were sat near the band and it was very loud and hard to hold a conversation. Just something to be aware of if they're having live entertainment. It's pretty dark inside (day and evening). Overall, I'd say it has more of a bar vibe than a restaurant. On both visits we had attentive servers. read more

New to the area saw many posts about this spot for brunch. When we arrived staff seemed friendly but buffet selections were limited and not fresh so we opted for the menu items. We selected the unlimited mimosa options for $15.99 and in the time we were seated we only received 3 drinks. Crab cakes were ok heavily breaded. Another thing that was disturbing to me and my sister was that the manager seemed to only focus her attention on casucian guests as we were the only African American guests in the establishment. We were never acknowledged by her at all. We had a good server Kyrsten who was attentive and provided the best service that she could being the only server in our section. This experience was not great and I do not plan on patronizing this place again. This was very disappointing for me as I love to support local businesses. I tried this place because a friend heard it was good. NOT. ... Ok place to go to watch a game and drink a few beers, but the food is not something I would go back for. The name is deceiving. the seafood is minimal; fish, shrimp and fried clams. i was tossed between the fried shrimp and fried fish, I got the fried shrimp and my mother got the fried fish. The fish was undercooked and greasy, unfortunately the shrimp was saturated in grease, the breading was so shriveled up that you could see the grease drip. Same for the onion rings, no taste and literally I squeezed grease out. The crab dip had a good taste but was hard to find crab meat and the pretzel sticks were doughy. I was just staying in town for a few days and decided to try this place by ordering take out. The woman greeting me at the entrance couldn't have been more helpful and after discussing the menu, showed a nice place to wait until my food was ready. I got the sautéed flounder, green beans and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious! And they added extra sauces just in case. The person taking my order talked me into the key lime pie for dessert and I was not disappointed! So good! And when they forgot to put my dessert in my bag, a staff person chased me down (BY CAR!!!) to make sure I got it. These folks go above and beyond! Admittedly I hate calling to order food, I'm awkward on the phone and I avoid it at all costs. But the gentleman who answered the phone at Atomic Seafood was super friendly and made the experience easy. I picked up our food to go cause quarantine reasons, we had brown sugar buffalo shrimp and a shrimp po boy. All were delicious and I was especially glad to have the French fries I'm used to having at island hideaway.
