Went there today on jul 31,2025 and the front counter attendant was dismissive when I asked about a discount. I was told when the account was set up that I would receive a 10% discount on all orders. I was told tough and the owner sets the prices. I was also told that "ladies clothes are expensive". I really have no choice but to go here but always get anxiety before going in to pick up clothes because I know the cost/price will be over $10 per item. Today it was $163 for 13 items. It is not really the money that bothers me but the attitude by all that work there. The owner's son just came in and he is a hard worker. There are two times marked Fancy and I guess that is subjective. I didn't want to make a scene and left after I paid the bill. It was disconcerting that my ask on the discount was outright dismissed and after I was made a promise when I started the account several years ago. Not sure what the future shall bring and I'm not inclined to have any future conversation with these folks regarding the issue presented above. They've ruined countless items of mine. Most recently a $700 dress. What's sad is it could have been avoided, it was just lack of attention to detail and laziness on their part. I went back countless times to try and reach some type of resolution but to no avail. What adds to the disappointment is the fact that I personally give them so much business (I send all my clients from my concierge business to them) They didn't care though. They are the best dry cleaners around. We have used many in town and none are as thorough as these guys. They are a home-away-from-home type of place. Our clothes and Sheets are always flawlessly cleaned and returned. The service is perfect. Robert, Josh, Theresa, and the rest do the team know what customer service and satisfaction is all about. Beware! They ruined a silk blouse, denied it, tried to blame me, and won't reimburse me. I am a 15+ year client and this carries no value to them. This silk blouse has never been cleaned by anyone other than them. It was simply wrinkled and time for a cleaning. They took it in as a solid color and tried to return to me as a blotchy, marbled- looking mess! They tried to tell me that I took the blouse elsewhere and it was ruined before I brought it to them. They deny any responsibility, try to blame me, and refuse to make it right. I am floored that they'd treat a long-time, loyal customer who has referred people thru the years. Mistakes happen and I wasn't even mad. But, I was completely taken back and hugely disappointed with how I was treated. I will be finding another cleaners. read more

Mediocre cleaning at a high price. I brought three items (basic shirt, pants, and dress) in for cleaning. Two came out clean. One they said they couldn't remove the stain but was charged for the service anyway. $26 later I am looking for a new cleaner. read more

I have a few issues with Coast Cleaners 1 . Why do u have a sign that says open 7 days a week when you are not open 7 days a week ??? closed sundays means you are open 6 days a week not 7 ..remove the sign !!!! It's pretty annoying 2. If it says same day service and you make a customer feel like getting it done the same day is next to impossible ..that is a service issue 3. When asked about the sign saying 7 days you get a lame " we told the boss to chage it " ..weak !!!!! 4. When I come to pick up my stuff and I hear " Oh not all of it is here " I kinda get pissed ..what if those missing items are the ones I needed/wanted ??? worst part is you didn't seem to care . I have never been so satisfied with a cleaner in my life. They are honest, reasonably priced and very fast. They go above and beyond to ensure the quality of your clothing remains unchanged. The cons of this location are that there are only five or so parking spots. But otherwise these cleaners are awesome. Having gone to a cheap cleaners before in Santa Ana, I worried that this location would be expensive. But they are not expensive at all. What they are, is very fast, and efficient. Good prices and do a good job with clothes, but they once told me at 8:30am they couldn't do same-day service for a button-down tux shirt (which is okay even though they advertise same-day). However, on Saturday, I went in with 10 shirts before 9am. I asked for one of them to be done same-day, so he rung up the order separately and said the one would be finished by 2pm. I go to pick it up at 5:30 and they had nothing for me. I had to go out and buy another shirt for work on Monday, because I trusted them when they said they could turn it around in one day (and I have many other options that will). We have been weekly customers for about 2 years. Not sure what happened, but we are actively looking for a cleaners that wants our business. Repeatedly we ask for starch on collars or fronts, but now most of the garments need to go back to be re cleaned AND SPOTTED, first.and Then someone needs to be looking while pressing! The guy with the sullen face is the worst guy for coast cleaner's business. Not only is he unfriendly which I can put up with, but to not clean my clothes and say it's my fault was the last straw. I recently brought in an expensive silk dress with stains. When I picked it up and saw that the stain remained on the dress, he told me the only way to clean it was to dye the entire dress and gave me the name of the company that does it. My dress was $1000. So I took it to Master's touch ( referred by Nordstrom), and they took the stain right out. I disputed the charge from coast cleaners and got a refund. It's so hard to find a good cleaner these days. read more

I've been fairly regular here over the years as it's been ok and not outrageous pricing-wise. My recent pickup was an utter disappointment. Two of my black dresses had some sort of paste or glue all over them. I took them back just now. First it seemed they didn't believe the dresses weren't like that to begin with. I told them "these are dirtier after coming back from you". They seemed confused, said they would send them to get cleaned and that *hopefully* the stains (that's they put) will get removed. These stains are soaked through the material! They didn't apologize for any of this. That's what gets me the most. Take responsibility, apologize, offer some sort of concrete solution. Have gone here for years and will not go back. Recently they selected a few shirts from the bunch and said they are special (the reasons are not consistent and a lie) and then they charge double. This wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have the exact same shirts in a different color not designated special multiple times. They randomly pull out half the shirts and double charge more than dry cleaning. I have overlooked the many shirts through the years that have been ruined by them while cleaning, not any more. They do not care about their long time customers. There are other cleaners in the vicinity. If you do go here make sure to check what you are being charged. read more

If you value your designer duds, Prada.Gucci.etc., do not and I repeat do not, bring them to Coast Cleaners. My Prada T-Shirt was ruined by ironing and they blamed it on the fabric. White pants that did have a small chocolate stain became a large yellow stain due to the chemical treatment used. To top everything off, the employee looks at you as though you are crazy. After I got married, I didn't know where to get my wedding dress cleaned. I remembered that when purchasing the dress, the store that I bought it from gave me a discount ($25 off) to a place in Costa Mesa that specializes in cleaning and preserving wedding dresses. I took my dress there and it was SO expensive ($500 or so). I couldn't believe it, and was not going to pay that amount. So I asked around, and a friend referred me to Coast Cleaners. I took my dress there, they cleaned it and put it in the preservation box, and charged me only $200! I've been taking all of my dry cleaning here since, and they always get the stains out for me. One time I noticed there was still a small spot, and they took it back, and had it ready for me (no spot) the next day! Another plus is that they are very friendly. read more

The prices and location to my house made them ideal but I noticed they kept adding charges for different "special services". I've brought the same pants and shirts in every time and every time I'm told it is a different price. Sometimes the shirt is 1.95 and sometimes it is 3.95; reason is the button on it is different but I have the same branded shirts and the other ones are fine. The next time I come, it's flipped. I don't get it. Ive been going to another cleaner for years before I moved and they never did this to me! Going back to my old cleaners even though they are farther. Scam artists for sure! read more

This place took my wife's brand new Versace dress and somehow ruined it. The dress had been worn once to a charity and taken to the cleaners as a matter of course the next day. They tried to cover it up by having the dress altered without our consent but the damaged part is still visible. They refuse to even provide the name of the owner so we had to go to the city to get it. Do not trust your stuff with these people. read more

They are at $4.95 dollar per shirt for dry cleaning compared to just $2.75 at other local corona del mar, ca dry cleaners. that is outrageously over priced. go to Eagle Cleaners for a better deal. if you bring 10 shirts in that is a savings of $27.50 cents!!!
