My insurance gave me this place but I could have known it was going to be a problem on the first visit it took them 2 hours to call me. My x-ray said I have two cavity when the doctor check. He only saw one to be fill. I one teeth pulled and was waiting for the re placement. the secretary kept calling to cancel the doctor he was on vacation, office will closed for 1 weeks. Finally I got a appt 1 month, the woman at the front called to cancel, because Dr. Anthony Burgois is no longer with them. My appt was the Sat., she call Thursday. I was a patient at the Coastal Dental in Peachtree. I got one cleaning there and it went well. The second time I made an appointment they canceled that day an half an hour before the appointment. I made an another appointment with my children. The appointment for All three of us was 9:00. We got up there and they had not opened because of an emergency. Thru put a sign on the window. Had not called anybody They had about 5 other people standing outside trying to figure out what was going on. So, I switched to the one in Fayetteville, and guess what? They canceled 30 min before. My son and I were getting a teeth clean. They have no back up hygienist. I know things happen ,but seriously something is not right. I'm at Dental Expressions now. read more

I wish I could give them a better review because I usually had a good experience with their dentists but their business portion needs to be better. My most recent issue is that the location I was going to closed without proper notice and sent a letter stating they sent my records to another location an hour or so away. This new location never answers the phone nor responds to emails so I have yet to be able to confirm they have my records nor have them sent to my new dentist. The office that closed is in Morrow, GA. The one where my records were supposed to have been sent is in Marietta, GA. I have tried calling the corporate number but they just sent me to the Marietta office which never answers or returns calls. I should not have to take off from work and drive an hour or more to SEE if my records are there. read more

A nightmare. An awful experience. This review was long overdue. To date, I'm still suffering from post-trauma after visiting this business. Prior to visiting this dental office, I had spent the entire weekend with a toothache. It was an emergency. I had never been to this place before. On Monday, it was the first office on my list that I called to give me a same-day appointment. I had no other choice because, on Tuesday, I was leaving the country on vacation. I sat in the reception area in pain for approximately 30 minutes or so before being seen by the dentist. They took X-rays. The dental assistant was the only friendly face at that office. I was seen by Dr. First, he was having problems with the computer. It shut down. There was another computer behind my chair. I could not see it. He began probing my mouth. He had no idea which tooth was causing the pain. He did a partial filling on one tooth. Then said he was done. I told him I was still in pain. So, he targeted another tooth and did a "partial root canal". After the procedure, I needed to spit. It was blood. He said to take some pain medication for bruising of my tongue. The following day and for an entire week, I could not understand why I was still experiencing pain. I continued with my vacation plan. I looked in the mirror and noticed two small cuts on the left side of my tongue. It took a week of excruciating pain before it healed. On the 8th day of my vacation, toothache pain again. The pain medication was not helping. The pain was none stop to the point that I had to seek medical assistance in a foreign country. That dentist immediately located the source of the pain, it was my wisdom tooth. Also, the temporary filling done by Coast Dental fell off. She prescribed 3 types of medications. When the anesthesia wore off, I was pain-free since then. Therefore, I was able to continue with my vacation plans. I never looked back at this particular office. Instead, I was referred to the Dunwoody office for a cleaning. Also, a bad experience. The dentist looked at the X-rays, dictated to the assistant what he believed needed to be done, then left. No conversation with me about the proposed plan. The assistant gave me a deep cleaning proposal plan of $1200+. I told her no. I just wanted the basic cleaning. They demand payment up front, even if you have insurance. They will tell you that once your insurance pays they will reimburse you, but when that time comes they ghost you. "The person who deals with that isn't here today" - every day. "We'll call you back" - they never do. "You need to call customer service" - they can't help you. "You need to call central billing" - their number goes to voicemail and the mailbox is full. This has been going on for months, so I disputed the payment with AMEX and they ruled in my favor, then guess what, a week later I get a bill from coast dental for the amount AMEX refunded me. Since that happened I've tried to contact coast half a dozen times, and got nowhere. Meanwhile they send me the same bill in the mail every couple of weeks. This company is borderline criminal in the way that they do business. Stay away. read more

I have to say things got of on a bit of a rocky start. I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned and just got an oral exam. There was nothing wrong with that, but just wasn't what I was expecting. So an appointment was made to have my teeth cleaned. Between that first appointment and that cleaning appointment, someone called to schedule me with a pariodontist (sp?) Because I have gum disease!? No lady I do not, I have an appointment scheduled for cleaning! Oh, hold on.... Oh right... WELL MOST OF THE TIME A PARIODONTIST NEEDS TO BE SCHEDULED, THE PATIENT HAS GUM DISEASE, SO I JUST ASSUMED! Hey one star there for honesty! This is when things turned for the better. On cleaning day I was running late due to a zoom interview running a little longer than I had planned. I called the practice told them I ultimately was going to be about a half hour late for my appointment and they said it was all still fine to please come on in. Didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area when I was taking back, and I was greeted by the doctor/dentist within 5 minutes. And what a breath of fresh air! This woman is a dentist and she is engaged to be married and she is from India. And the kind of sweetest person not just dentist I think I've met since I moved to Atlanta. Explain to her my horror stories over the last couple years with dentists, especially the wackadoodle in Myrtle Beach, and her approach was professional thorough and so very gentle. I explained to her my insurance situation and we mapped out a plan I needed an immediate feeling taken care of and we made another appointment for that and she personally did the cleaning and she did the filling at the following appointment. This woman is hands-on and I absolutely love that. She took a genuine interest in me as well as my overall mouth health, and I could not be more pleased with the overall outcome. Reading some of these previous reviews I was really nervous. But this dentist is new there she's got a staff that's eager to learn and extremely pleasant and professional and I highly recommend this practice to anyone that is looking for a new dentist in the Buckhead area. Yes the shopping center is going through some growing pains right now with the construction, but it was worth driving through the gravel walking through scaffolding and construction barriers to get to their front door! My daughter needed her wisdom teeth taken out in an emergency situation. We went to our local Coast Dental down the street. We were told that the ONLY office that did this work was over an hour away. We made the appointment for 3 PM. we sat in the waiting room for 2 ¹/2 hours and watching everyone who came in AFTER us go back before us for our 45 minute appointment. At around 5:30/5:45, my 16 year old daughter goes back. The HORRIBLE dentist didn't make sure she was numb or even cared she was begging to stop. Now, I'm getting a bill that they REFUSED to run through my dental insurance!! I've left voice mail after email trying to resolve this, but ZERO response! DO NOT GO TO THE FAYETTEVILLE, GA OFFICE!! Absolutely clueless... Don't let Yusuf anywhere near your mouth. She broke an instrument in my tooth by being overly aggressive and yapping to her coworker about her Costco trip from the day before... After that they told me they didn't have caps on-site and I'd have to come back a month later. Then they shut down for several weeks due to the virus and my tooth has broken and fractured even worse than when I originally went in for treatment. The filling material Yusuf used has slowly dwindled to nothing and the tooth has cracked even more. They do not take your well-being seriously and obviously are only after your money... just to get the treatment for one fractured tooth half-done they have already maxed out my insurance for the year. I went here for emergency service but there was absolutely no sense of urgency... Nothing keeps a customers loyalty quite like asking them to sign up for a $9,000 treatment plan when they're reeling in pain on their first trip to your practice. I came across coastal dental buckhead through my insurance provider. The scheduling process was simple and going in I didn't have any real expectations. The day of my appointment is when I saw the reviews and that gave me a little concern, however that all went away when I got into the office. EVERYONE in the office was polite, professional and courteous. Dr. Patel gave a clear and concise explanation of the process and Quinta and Tiffany were nothing short of amazing. Im not sure if the practice was under a different specialist in the past but my experience was a good one. read more

In the back Zamani assistant and Dr. Patel are kind very thoughtful explaining everything in the visit and giving all options for any work you may need. First time stepping into this dental office, I actually never know there is a dental office so close to home. First thing I noticed? The rug right inside the door was dirty, that needed cleaning. The staffs were not rude, but I have definitely see more cheery front desk staffs elsewhere. The chairs at the waiting area? They were so uncomfortable. I hate them. Now I understand I was not over there for a spa, but the ambience and surrounding sure made up an experience be it at a dental office or a restaurant. Now come to the most important part, the dental experience. Jamie, the hygienist, was nice and she did a good job in explaining what she would be doing every step of the way. She was friendly and tried to make small talks to make one feels relaxed. The dentist Dr. Chang came by and said hello, mentioned she would come back after the cleaning. After cleaning, Dr. Chang came and explained about the x-rays, voiced her concerns and checked on the teeth. She was very professional and made one felt at ease. After seemed like a thorough checking, the visit was completed. Dr. Chang walked out together to the front desk and I proceeded to make a payment. Since the card reader was out due to the internet down this morning, I was told they would call me when the card reader was up and running. The office manager asked how was the dental visit before I left? I told her it was very good. The office definitely needs an upgrade with better seating and décor. It would make the waiting area a lot better. Hence, that one point being deducted. Regardless, overall the dental visit was a great one. read more

unfortunately, my insurance planned assigned Coast Dental as my provider and I do not have another option at the moment. True to the nature of DSO (Dental Services Orgs), Coast Dental is terrible. I have now scheduled and shown up to 5 scheduled appointments between the Hammond Road and Piedmont locations only to be told that a service provider was not available or the providers had left the business. I was just advised to try a 3rd location that might be more consistent.... Aside from the HIPAA violations (patients' record just laying out in plain sight), the customer service is horrendous, the providers very obviously hate working there, and it is unacceptable for anyone to have to schedule 5 appointments with no cancellation notices) to only see a provider once! I would love to comment on the care, but I don't have much experience to draw from an actual appointment. Avoid Coast Dental and any DSO at all cost. All they care about is upselling on procedures and products that are NOT necessary. read more

Walked in for a routine cleaning and whitening at Coast Dental Buckhead. Walked away with chemical burns, swollen lips, and a trip to the Emergency Room due to overall negligence. Moreover, the hygienist attempted to blame me for her botched execution. She had no regard for my well-being, I communicated several times of a burning sensation. More bewildering, the Dentist looked dumbfounded when called over, taking no immediate action after seeing discoloration and extreme swelling. The new team in place at Coast Dental Buckhead lack professionalism, training and basic skills needed to be successful. This team does not parallel the pre-pandemic team I remember. I went to Coast Dental for my first dental appointment in nearly a year and a half. I was talked into the "deep cleaning" which felt a lot like being upsold at an auto repair shop but since it had been so long I went with it. My entire teeth cleaning took under 10 minutes, including the flossing and brushing. It was the shortest teeth cleaning I've ever received and I'll add that my teeth don't have the smooth, clean feeling they usually have after a cleaning. Doing some research online, deep cleaning or "scaling" (which is what I was charged for) usually takes one to two hours. I have dental insurance and was charged $94 on top of that for the least thorough cleaning I've ever received. They finally returned my call, told me I was in the chair for 23 minutes (which might be true, I was in the chair playing games on my phone until the cleaning started) and told me a deep cleaning only takes 15-30 minutes. The staff was nice but the services rendered were terrible and the upcharging is just bad business. read more

I already called your office and left voice mail next day that was almost 2 months ago. Unless you refund my money, nothing is need to be done. Now , they sent me a bill of $143 because they claim my insurance doesnt cover whatever service they performed. When I called to discuss, person answered the phone literally hanged up on me. COAST DENTAL OF BUCKHEAD IS THE BIGGEST SCAM, unprofessional, and disgusting!!!! From not cleaning all of my teeth to lying and saying they didn't have my xrays, I could go on. I have been trying to dispute fraudulent charges since March. Conveniently they did not have a dentist, hygienist, and office manager available all spring and summer to talk to me about the charges. You cant make this stuff up. Their corporate office never called me back too. I've reported them to Cigna and am currently on the phone with my credit card company to dispute the charges because no one wants to help at this company. If you want to take days off of work for months disputing charges then this is the place for you. read more

I had made an appointment with Coast Dental before I read other reviews, which caused me to be nervous about my appointment and what treatment I would receive. For the most part what others wrote in their review want far off. They do up-sell you. I hadn't had a good cleaning in a while so I went ahead and had some things that my insurance didn't cover as I thought it was worth it. I'm not sure I needed the $28 mouthwash to help my gums; especially since I walked out with it and just went back for it 2 weeks later! The biggest issue I had with this place is the way they go about ex-rays. Not only the up-sell in that area to make sure you don't have mouth cancer but the over all method of taking the exam. I have never experienced a dentist like this one. I have had work done on my teeth multiple times in my life and this is the only time I regretted going to the dentist. They gave me X-rays that said I had two big cavities although I was in no pain or discomfort. I decided to go along with the procedure for fillings. They finished the job and my mouth has been in pain for 2.5 months since the day of the procedure. I even went back 4 times for them to try to fix the issue and even after working on me each time they couldn't resolve the pain. I still till this day can't chew on my right side and has pain in my left side occasionally. They now are saying that I should get another cleaning to see if that would help and they will charge me for that. How will a cleaning fix this kind of issue??!!! Georgena the office manager at Coast Dental on Piedmont Rd. in Buckhead is a straight up crook! They pre-billed me for procedures that I did not return to receive. My insurance was billed by Coast Dental Buckhead and I also paid the $500+ out of pocket cost but due to me not being able to have the procedure done under sedation I had to go to another dentist. I contacted my insurance company and they got in touch with the office to verify that work had not been done, so Coast HAD to refund them the amount billed. However when I brought this to the office manager, Geogena attention she got a nasty attitude and gave me the run around. She's been saying for 10 months that she has to research the account and what happened but there's literally nothing to research!! You were paid a total of $2000 for procedures that were not done so you have to return the money!!! Georgena is now saying that the credit disappeared...where did it go sis?? Probably in her pocket! I've literally never seen anything like this and I personally think Georgena is stealing from Coast Dental!! 9/20/2019 - I will keep adding to this review until this issue is resolved. The office is now saying that I came in for a procedure on 7-14-2017 when I was clearly not even in the state of Georgia at that time! I'm now requesting my physical medical records (which is a complete waste of my time because I KNOW that the dentist did not work on my teeth! Georgena forgot that her and I spoke several months ago and she clearly stated over the phone that a refund was due to me she just needed to research and document it through their corporate office. Hmmmmm....in all my years of working in healthcare I've never heard of a doctor having to approve a patient receiving THEIR MEDICAL RECORDS. I guess they're going to sift through the records and pick n choose which records they wanna release. 0/5 I rarely write reviews, but I am livid. I broke my permanent retainer and this practice was the only place to get me in. They told me that neither one of my insurances will cover anything. So I paid $450 out of my own pocket to have them glue it back on. Now here's where I am mad. It didn't even last 3 months, while my other one lasted 5 years! I called to ask if they give a warranty on their work, and not surprisingly I never got a callback. I called my new dentist and they told me that my insurance should cover all of it besides 50$. So I was charged 9 times what I should have out, for work that didn't even last! They are either lying about what insurance can cover or they price gouge. If I could leave negative stars I would, I came to this dentist in Lilburn Ga because the last dentist tried repeatedly to upsell the deep cleaning and root canal services, I was very clear about only services that were covered by my insurance, they talked me into paying the $20 something dollars extra for the orbit xray, then proceeded to do 16 bite wing xrays for my daughter and I, they called it an FMX. A couple of weeks later I get a bill from the dentist saying that the deductable was not meet on the regular twice a year cleaning, I call my insurance company and of course it wasnt a deductable that wasnt met it was that the FMX wasnt covered at all. I have been leaving messages with corporate in tampa at the 813-288-1999 for a week now and no response, I even tried the 855-455-6601 that is sent as a response on some of the bad reviews and that number doesnt even work read more

Horrible place and customer service. I called to make an emergency appointment, the lady said that I could just walk in between 8 am- 5 pm. I printed and filled all the new patient paperwork, left work earlier and rushed to their location, spending 30 min on traffic. I arrived at the Duluth location at 4:34- nobody at the front desk, 10 min later walks in ( from the outside) the front desk lady saying that they are closed and there is nobody that can see me, only a surgeon was there that day. I explained to her what happened and asked if she could see if he could help me since I was in pain. She said he had left ( without even checking). She clearly couldn't care less. Not that it is important but she had leftover food all over the table. I am very disappointed and although still in pain, I would rather take my own tooth out than go back to this place. read more
