Will and his landscape crew (Coast Outdoor Living) did an amazing job when they completely renovated my back patio. It started with the demolition of the old concrete and bricks, and removal of all debris. The job included installation of a gas line for the firepit table and BBQ, drip system, decorative screens, landscape lighting, Belgard pavers and artificial turf. Brian, the foreman for this project, was so professional, he kept me informed of each phase and asked for my input as needed. Working with Will at Coast Outdoor Living was a great experience from start to finish. Our project included tearing up poured concrete and slate flooring both of which were showing age and damage, replacing with new Belgard pavers, and building a block wall, firepit, and custom block bench seating. We are really happy with how everything turned out. While a variety of challenges arose (thanks Covid) the communication and ease of working with Will made it overall a great experience. A few things that I wanted to highlight... (1) Detail. Will was not the cheapest contractor we got a bid from, however his quote was meticulously detailed, well thought out, and easy to follow. When I started asking a few of the other contractors about what we had discussed but was not written down in their quote, their price and timeline started rising. This showed me Will was honest and up-front and I would not get change orders for things that were verbally agreed. (2) Communication. There were a few delays for various reasons crew members getting sick, small corrections, supply chain etc - however the communication was great. As soon as a problem was identified it was communicated as well as the plan to rectify. (3) Flexibility. We didn't know exactly what we wanted when we started, I'd say we were 90% there but made some changes on the fly. Will was involved, shared his opinion, included the foreman when appropriate, but also willing to work with us when we had changes. (4) Accountability. When a project stretches a few months there are bound to be some issues that arise. Will took accountability for everything that was reasonably in his teams control. As an example when we didnt like one aspect of the firepit, he came over and agreed it was not up to the standard of the rest of the job so he completely redid it, at no cost to us. We will be working with Will again in a year or so when we install matching pavers in our driveway. Projects are tough but I would recommend Will due to his professionalism, accountability, flexibility, great communications and ultimately a beautiful finished product. read more

Javier and his team did an amazing job planting our new privacy hedges (podocarpus gracilior)! His team also removed a tough ash tree which was a lot more work than expected, but they completed the job as promised and we are so happy with the results! We can't wait until our hedges grow into a beautiful privacy screen (as you can we have a lovely parking lot site we want to get rid of ASAP LOL). Pricing/Affordability: Reasonable and fair for the job done! We quoted a few others and decided to go with Coast Outdoor Living Customer Service: Great!
