I was fortunate to have found a good offer from a family member of a classmate in Ohio. It would have been difficult to drive it there, so I was searching for a company to help me get the car to Ohio. I found New Haven Auto Transport online and felt like they had a good presentation on their website. After inputting my contact information on their website, I was given a phone call back on the same day. They were very fast at responding and provided me the information over the phone and through e-mail. They gave me a very good quote and the ETA of delivery that was very competitive and better than other companies I had contacted. They provided photos of their truck that would transport the car and even provided information and demonstrated how the car would be loaded and unloaded as well as how it would be secured. My biggest fear was what would occur if my car was damage on the way there, but they reassured me of their safety procedures as well as my car being insured during the time it is being transported. The day of pick up went very smoothly. New Haven Auto Transport provided me with great service, great communication, and definitely competitive pricing per mile. I would definitely recommend this company for auto transportation if ever needed.

So after finding a buyer out in New York, we obviously wanted to make selling the car worthwhile and we got quotes from other places and this place by far had the best price per mile. They were able to show me pictures of how the car would be transported to ensure that it would arrive safely which helped ease the anxiety we had about letting a stranger transport our car. The service was great. We couldn't have asked for a more professional team to handle the situation. I would have loved to give Knickerbocker a positive review. Initial calls with Eric were great. He…read morewas super responsive and even though there were some challenges (drove to the middle of nowhere New Jersey to drop my car) it was a reasonable price compared to others. Issues were threefold: - Eric basically represented and used a facility that does its own direct auto transport. When questioned (because they were cheaper) he highlighted his business as better due to a number of factors. None of these ended up coming to fruition. - the Rando he got to transport my car was horrible. Lack of communication or updates. Ended up delivering the car two or three days later than promised (meaning I missed being able to inspect the car). And throughout the process was full of lies regarding arrival time and why he wasn't delivering on time. - car was damaged during transport but because I was out of town for 2 months after the fact and wasn't able to confirm and share this with Eric (because it was delivered late) I had no recourse for costs to fix the damage. - finally, In reviewing his end of year books, Eric got confused about a voided transaction (I had been charged twice initially and there was a void in his books). He assumed that it was me doing it due to my dissatisfaction and charged my credit card again without confirming the issue with me. He left messages while I was in a meeting and then charged my card without confirming. When I called, he apologized for his angry action but for someone who highlights professionalism amongst his traits, I feel this was way out of line. I was going to just leave things as is and not write a review and leave things as they were in August but given the action he took today I felt compelled to warn others.

Well when the driver got here, he said I owed him $650 cash, because that's what CT Auto advertised it as. Needless to say I needed the vehicle, so I had to pay the extra $100. I tried to call CT Auto Transport for a $100 refund, and the guy hung up the phone on me. I would not recommend them to anyone!

She offered to refund the $200 extra that I had to pay, which changed my review from 1/5 to 3/5 thanks to the considerate phone call and the refund. Review: I had a very unprofessional experience. The yelp reviews all seemed good and that's why I picked this company, but it was a bad experience that cost me time and money. I spoke with Kathleen who helped me set up the everything smoothly and I was given a "guaranteed quote" to transport my car from Long Island out west. I gave her a 4 day pick up window trying to ensure the pick up happens before I have to take my flight out. She said that sounds good and they would pick it up within that time range. After calls throughout the week, they finally told me one day before my flight (this was the last day of the pickup time range) that I would need to drop off my car to New Jersey (which is a 2-hour drive) and that it would cost $200 more to ship it. At this point, I had no choice but to agree with them. It was absolutely ridiculous to make me do 5-10% of the moving and to then increase the cost by $200 (or roughly 20%). The only positive was getting my car in 7 days, the driver was good.
