At first this facility was great! But then I noticed an increase every 6 months, no warning, they lured me in with a terrific rate, then bumped me up until I couldn't afford it!! I asked the employee why, she said " now they can get a better price for your unit, and they are trying to force you out, it's supply and demand"..well if that isn't the epitome of greed! Great and convenient storage space right near 95 and the Boston Post Road. After driving around to a couple places, Public Storage was definitely the best value. And Tanya was so helpful with getting me set up and into my storage unit. She was accommodating with my requests and actually walked me to the unit to make sure I knew how to access it. Facility is clean and dry. Gate and elevator always work. Storage unit rental has more than doubles in price in less that 3 years.

The staff Was friendly. In a convenient location. It was a reasonable price to start, but they will raise rent every year. I remember paying $164 a month for 10x25. It keeps going up every year. After four years, $304 a month. It's not temperature control, so your stuff might get mold bc I had A roof leak. Wrap all your stuff can get dirt on it, plus insects. It's like putting your stuff outside under a carport. read more

Whatever you do don't rent from public storage. They constantly raise the price. And I don't mean from like $100 to $105 or $110. But shout $100 a year. They allow people moving out or in to take All the carts. There's far better places read more

This was quick and easy, and the people pleasant to deal with. I reserved a small (5'x10') unit, but to my surprise they were out of those when I got there. I made a cross-country move and had to arrange storage here from California. On the phone, the staff was extremely helpful and informative, and set up arrangements for me to come in, review the space, and leave a key for the moving truck. (The facility is also large enough to accommodate the largest sized vans.) When I arrived, finalizing the account was very easy, with lots of options clearly and patiently presented. Moving in went without a hitch, even though I wasn't there! I was equally impressed after I moved in, though: my door was hard to open, so I asked Michael in the office to take a look. He quickly diagnosed the problem, returned next day with a sledgehammer (!) to straighten a bent door sill, and called me when it was all set. Works like a charm now, and I am extremely impressed with the friendly and efficient service at this location. Highly recommended! read more

I have made numerous visits to the on-site office and have been pleasantly surprised by all of my interactions with Mike, Lisa, Eugene and Kathryn. They have all been very helpful whether it was setting up my climate-controlled rental, moving to a different unit, taking care of a broken key, finding a moving dolly to use, etc. I have used U-Haul and other storage places before, but none of them compare in the least to the quality of service from Public Storage at this location. You won't be disappointed. read more

This location would rather have me move out of my rental space than decrease my rate to the comparable rate of their other units of the same size. The customer service agent stated "we have to leave the price what it is for operation cost reasons". Oh yeah operate on zilch when I move out. LOL. Too funny. read more

I chose this location both because they offer climate control and because of the fantastic reviews, and it was a great decision!! Mike was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond to make it possible for me to reserve a unit before there were none left, even though my travel schedule made it much more challenging to finalize the reservation. When I checked into this site I informed the salesman that I would be leaving the unit in the middle of August and asked if they had partial month rates he said no. I paid on August 1 $82 for the month of August. On August 6 I vacated the unit and when I went to close the contract the same person waited on me and said you should have told us you were leaving early and we would have set it up for a partial month but too late now. So I paid $82 for a 6 day rental! What ripoff! Beware of the facility there's a lot more reasonably priced places but I went with the popular name. My daughter is in college and I've passed the word through the school blog for students to stay away and avoid getting ripped off like I did. read more

The local representatives in West Haven are wonderful. Very helpful with all aspects of selecting a unit, moving in, keys, locks, and explaining the whole process. Unfortunately, the local people have no control over billing. Expect your bill to increase at least 20% every 6 months, My rental has gone up 80% in 1 1/2 years. The explanation is "overall company operational costs". They offer no option for controlling your rental costs. No long term contract - only a one month rate guarantee. Just beware - the rate you pay today will most probably go up soon. read more
