I recently purchased a brand new 911 from Newport Beach Porsche and was talked into installing a clear bra on my car. I wasn't familiar with this protective film before so pretty much relied on the salesperson to fill me in. At first they only mentioned the partial clear bra which only covered half the front hood and I went with it. But after giving it some thought, I figured half a clear bra? Really? That'll look weird!....and you can see the line where it ends! So I changed my mind and went with the full clear bra which covered the whole front hood, front side panels, front spoiler, and side mirrors. I was never in touch with Coastal Films up till this point as Porsche arranged everything. Fast forward a couple of months. I went around to the passenger's side one day and noticed a small black spot at the edge of the film on the side mirror. At first I thought it was just dirt and tried to clean it off, but it wouldn't come off. I had even sent my car to the hand car wash, but the mark was still there. This was when I contacted Porsche who put me in touch with Spencer at Coastal Films. I then called Spencer to explain the situation and to ask if he can help me fix this. It turned out that it was a finger mark that got on the underside of the film and was accidentally missed at inspection. So the entire piece of film needed to be replaced. Ok, I'll skip the part where I had a little bit of frustration arranging an appointment with Spencer.....mainly because we had to arrange a time for him to come out to me vs my driving all the way to his shop in Huntington Beach. What is important and should be mentioned however, is that even though it was obvious that Spencer was swamped with other jobs, he was at all times very friendly and professional on the phone. Spencer finally came out this morning to fix the problem. He's also a really nice and very friendly guy in person by the way, and you can tell that he loves his work, he's very good at what he does, and he does it very well. This was just a minor problem, but he made darn sure it was corrected to perfection, and that I was totally satisfied and happy. Fyi, I'm a perfectionist by nature and if I'm happy then you can bet it was an excellent quality job. read more

Fantastic job that Spencer and Ryan did on two of my cars in the last couple weeks. One was a Tesla model S in red and the other was a Chevy Bolt. Really great customer service. They also did a previous bra repair on a Porsche that I had repaired at a shop in Southern Orange County. A+ work. I recently purchased a new BMW M4 and spent a good amount of time researching clear bra installations. I wanted to ensure that the film as well as workmanship was top notch. This place is it. I chose Coastal Films for a clear bra install on the recommendation of my tint guy. It's been a week since I have had the product installed, and I even went back to have additional work done, and I love it. Spencer and his associates did an amazing job throughout. I called them a few months ahead of time of when my new car was scheduled to arrive. He talked me through the type of film they use, the different installations I could have done, common installations and coverage areas, and any questions I had about the process. Fast forward to when the vehicle was scheduled to be delivered, I called them back and scheduled an appointment. I ended up purchasing the car a day early and called the night before to see if my appointment could be done same-day. Not only did they fit me in that day, they worked late into the night to finish the job. When I picked up the vehicle from Spencer, he walked me through the work that was done, showing me the areas film had been applied to do, and answered any questions I had. I brought the car back the next week to have a couple of needle tip sized bubbles removed as well as have additional film installed along the side skirts. Again, the work was perfect. Spencer is also transparent. He showed me where, due to a very minor accident during installation, he had created a tiny mark on a recessed panel of the car. He was completely up front about the incident and offered to completely resolve the issue for me. This sort of responsibility and honesty is rare to find. Not only does Coastal Films provide excellent work, the respect and diligence Spencer has for his customers as well as his top notch work ethic is truly hard to find. These guys do a very good job and they're very easy to work with. They walked me through the process they use, identified concerns they had on doing the job, and we talked about how to handle them. They are there to do the job you want them to do and take care of your vehicle. Had them put a clear bra on my '85 VW Westfalia to protect the $5K paintjob I just had done. Last weekend I was cleaning it and noticed a couple little marks in the vinyl and just smiled thinking "that would have been two paint chips, instead it's a minor blem in a peel off protective coating and still looks great". Logistically they couldn't be better either - since I was leaving and trusting them with my car - they let me take one of their vehicles back to work. I think I'm going to go back to them for little panel projects to protect sections of stickers on the vehicle. It's a pretty cool technology they have there. They get called around for mobile jobs, so call ahead and make sure they are there on site and/or set up an appointment because I think they're on the road a fair amount. read more
