    Pecan Crusted Trout

Coastal Flats is a solid spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The atmosphere is bright and modern, with a relaxed coastal vibe that makes it easy to hang out for a while. The menu has a good variety of seafood and coastal-inspired dishes. I ordered the Pecan Crusted Trout that had candied pecans sprinkled on top of the trout. The trout was fresh and well-prepared.

Enjoyed lunch with co-workers on Halloween. This is a family-friendly, casual dining restaurant inside Tyson's Corner Mall. If you enter the parking deck near the Hyatt Hotel with Coastal Flats listed at the entrance, you will have a very short walk! Alternatively, it's downstairs from the movie theatre and food court. We ordered calamari, buffalo chicken dip, and blue crab & shrimp fritters. For mains, we had ribeye steaks and chicken salad. Everything was good, except the calamari was very oily. The restaurant was quiet, clean, and welcoming. Our server was kind, and overall we had a pleasant experience.

First time going there, I believe the menu should be more though there was enough on it. It didn't have enough variety. The food was fresh and hot and the service was well. It was very dark inside the area, which made it hard to see.

I went to Coastal Flats for a solo lunch. I kind of had an idea of what I already wanted to order. I was greeted by one person and gave my order to them but then someone else came over and asked if I wanted anything else. The second waiter started talking about the specials but they were so soft spoken it was hard to hear. If you try any of the great American restaurants and they have Ozzie rolls, get them ! They are delicious. I ordered the fish fingers which came with fries and coleslaw. I am not a fan of coleslaw. I should have asked if they could sub that out for something else. My waitress came by once after I got my food to see how it was. I ended up not finishing my meal because I was full from the delicious Ozzie rolls. However my waitress walked past several times and did not interact with me or ask if I needed anything else. I waited 20 minutes before I had to stop her and ask for my check and a box. Not sure if it's worth coming back based on lack of service.

Outstanding service and amazing food and drinks! I had the classic mojito and it came with a sugar cane strip which was classy and nice! Love coastal flats and there employees

When we come to Tyson's Corner Center to dine, we go to Seasons 52 which is directly across from Coastal Flats, but decided today to check out Coastal Flats for the first time. We arrived at Coastal Flats for lunch at noon on a weekday. We were greeted by friendly people at the host's stand, and were seated fairly quickly. The vibe and decorating is rather similar to Cheesecake Factory. Service from the food runners was very good. Our server did a reasonably adequate job, but there was one thing curious about him. He dropped off the check on our table without a word, picked up our credit cards without a word and dropped our cards and receipts on the table without a word. No thank you or anything. The best deal on the menu has to be the Community bread assortment that goes for a mere $1. That $1 is donated by the restaurant to helping people obtain housing. The assortment was a nice variety and of a generous quantity. The seasoned soft butter that came with the bread was good. We both ordered the Pecan Crusted Trout. The trout was fresh and good. The portion size was large. I was a little surprised that the pecans were not crumbles of pecan pressed into then trout, but instead, whole candied pecans sprinkled atop the trout. The broccolini that came with the trout was good though some of the thicker pieces were undercooked. I think we'll come back, but we prefer Seasons 52 across the corridor.

07/03/2026 at 7:30 PM. Our 4th time visit-- Disappointed--Food was just OK--service was bad--Reservation was delayed 15 minutes due to a confused hostess--Very busy--waitress was unfriendly--poker face--neglected bread after 2 tables after us received bread--then said bread was cooking--a floor manager brought bread just as she said this--Steak was poor grade quality and too much salt--beef ribs were over cooked, stringy and too much sugar--Recommend buy prime meat and smoked beef ribs need no sugary sauce. Also, unsweet iced tea was cloudy and strange taste soured.

Coastal Flats = rolls so warm and buttery you almost cry. Service was quiet but efficient--like a ninja who takes your order without judgment. Everyone in our party had very specific food quirks, and they handled it like pros. After a long travel day, I inhaled my warm goat cheese salad like it owed me money. Clean, cozy, and perfect for fast-but-fancy refueling.

Walked in on Father's Day and went to the bar! Service was fantastic and so was the food. If you love SWEET TEA, GET IT! It's so damn good and baby their mango margarita! Oh my lawd! Take a sip of boffum! For me :)

I honestly did not expect outstanding service like this. We had reservations for 5:30 PM and it took longer than usual to get seated for a party of 5 but then again it was Mother's Day... When we walked past other servers and employees we were greeted with soft hospitality, "Welcome! Enjoy your meal.. thank you for coming." I mean I was impressed with this top scale service. The seats and table was glistening they sure do keep the place as clean as possible. I had the crispy fish tacos and they were indeed crispy/ crunchy, paired well with the habanero slaw. No complaints, overall it was a delightful experience.

The ambiance was nice and the staff are very attentive. The food here was pretty typical. Crab cake sliders were good, lobster wasn't overcooked, got the shrimp cocktail and wish the shrimp was smaller bites but no issue there. I was kinda disappointed in the pecan trout, to me, it felt heavily dependent on the sauce to give it flavor and the crust was okay.

I lost count how many times I been here since I frequent Tyson's mall so often and it's one of the few good restaurants there. The food is good but I feel like there isn't alot of variety because I always scan the menu but often go back to what I usually order. The service is great, looks to be a lot of young servers grinding. The ambiance is what you expect it.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and it was good. We were quickly seated, and we ordered ozzie rolls. They came out hot, but honestly, I feel like I've had better - They were kind of hard. We got the calamari and it wasn't super crunchy. Again the other great American places are a little better. Got the classic roast chicken salad that comes with avocado and it was great. But also super simple and hard to mess up. Overall, a great experience, but would go to another great American restaurant instead, such as Patsy's across the street. This is an easy convenient spot if you're shopping.

Not giving people food poisoning. I ended up severely ill after eating here. The shrimp roll must have had uncooked shrimp or something.

Cesar was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made me feel like he genuinely cared about making sure I had a good experience. Customer service like that is hard to come by. While the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made quickly, the real reason I keep coming back--and why I recommend it to friends, coworkers, and anyone looking for a great lunch--is the customer service. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with a smile. The team members at the register are welcoming and helpful, especially for anyone unfamiliar with the ordering kiosks. Even during the busiest lunch rushes, they stay calm, patient, and efficient. You never get the sense that they're overwhelmed, even when there's a line out the door. What really sets this location apart is how much they care about the guest experience. Even though Honeygrow isn't a full-service restaurant, employees regularly bring food to tables, check in to see how your meal is, and make sure everything is going well. They actively walk the dining room, clear tables quickly, and keep the space clean and inviting. It's rare to see this level of attentiveness at a fast-casual restaurant. I've also found the staff to be accommodating with modifications and special requests, and the food always comes out fresh and fast. Over the years, I've interacted with many different employees, and the excellent service has been remarkably consistent regardless of who's working. That tells me it's part of the culture here, not just a few standout individuals. I wish I knew everyone's names so I could recognize them individually--that's my goal the next time I visit. They truly deserve the credit. I've been to enough restaurants to know that great food gets people in the door, but great service keeps them coming back. This Honeygrow has mastered both. They make you feel welcomed, remembered, and genuinely appreciated as a customer. I'd love to know if other Honeygrow locations provide this same level of service, but honestly, I don't feel the need to find out. This location has earned my loyalty, and I'll happily keep coming back.

My son and I were looking for a snack so we got Chicken Fried Rice & an app of Garlic Cucumbers. Took 10-15 mins to get the food cause its made to order. Thats a good thing. The fried rice came out hot and fresh. The chilled garlic cucumbers in a plastic reuseable take away box. First the garlic cucumbers. It's basically sliced cucumbers with garlic, sesame seed oil, pinch of salt and cilantro. Not a whole lot of flavor but it is cold and refreshing. Missing sour, sweet, spicy and salty. I asked for chili oil. It helped a bit but not much. 6/10 The chicken fried rice looked good. Some veggies like diced carrots, shitake mushrooms, shallots, bean sprout and slices of dry chicken breast. Again, nothing special. No wok hei and not a lot of seasoning of flavor. Although its better than a fried rice that is too salty. The seating area was spacious but not huge. It was clean though. Overall, it was kinda pricey. $15 for fried rice and $10 for cucumbers. This isn't a mom and pop shop so I expected more from a chain. Maybe chef had bad day but if this is the norm, there are better places to eat. Maybe should have gotten the dumplings? Saw the prices and cringed. Overall 3.5/5, not 3.
