I was pleasantly surprised with the food here. I spent the weekend out Tyson's corner and was craving some Thai so I gave this spot a shot. I ordered ahead through the door dash app and everything was ready when I arrived at the restaurant. The shrimp cakes were minced shrimp meat with some type of breading that reminded me of a hush puppy. They packed so much flavor and came with a house made plum sauce that was delicious. The fried rice was also very tasty, even though the cuts of meat they use were a little tough. The tom yum soup was also very tasty, the spicy lemongrass broth was the perfect balance of spicy and sour. I really enjoyed everything and would try it again.

The service is fantastic. My friend and I came during prime dinner time on a Thursday and were able to be seated right away. I got the Pad Cashew with chicken and it was in such a nice light sauce that was not overly sweet. The chicken was tender and moist. My friend got the Ginger Ginger Ginger dish with seafood, which can typically be overcooked- especially the calamari, but it was perfectly done. The new mango dessert is delicious- the mango was perfectly ripe and fresh (I was worried that it may be frozen).

Giving a 4 stars because while the meat was cooked fantastically, the other sides for the meal were okay! We got the crying tiger steak and the tom ka soup [spicy and thai spicy levels respectively]. While the spice was fantastic, the other items on the menu that we tried like the fried tofu were a bit plain by themselves. Their sauces and spice are what really bring the meals together. Service - staff and turnaround time is 5/5, absolutely loved it! Perfect area for a date night or large group dinner.

Enjoyed Niesha's while in the area. The atmosphere is always inviting, the service was great and the food was scrumptious. If you're in the Tyson's VA area, this is a must try. If you live Thai, you'll Love this place.

Had a really nice experience at Neisha Thai Cuisine. I ordered the lychee martini, spring rolls, chicken pad thai and papaya salad and everything was fresh and flavorful. They weren't too busy on a Monday and the service was nice and attentive. Overall, a great spot for a casual meal with good food and a relaxed vibe.

I've been going to Neisha Thai for years, and it's still a hit every time. The food has always been generously portioned and super flavorful. I also really like the ambience of the restaurant, very comfy. While I love love love the food, I think the star is the service. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the owner Rick is often seen walking around and chatting with everyone, really getting to know the customers. I really recommend Neisha if you're craving Thai foor in a mellow and cozy atmosphere.

This was a great meal. We got a table fast and the service was good. Our order didn't take too long to make. The chicken satay was awesome, cooked well with a flavorful peanut sauce. The chicken pad thai was good, but needed some extra spice for me. The flavor was really good and it was cooked well. Good food, good service!

We were a group of 6 and a toddler. I had reserved the place two days ahead, we were promptly checked in and showed our table. As got seated, we quite liked the ambience of the place. The service was prompt however the server seemed somewhat confused right from the beginning [she was probably not used to serving large groups]. The food taste (we ordered loads of beverage, appetisers, entrée, side dishes), a combination of vegetarian and non vegetarian items, was very average, especially that of the vegetarian food. I was much looking forward to ordering the vegetarian Tom Yum; since our server mentioned that it would contain fish paste ( I asked if she could re-check with the chef, but she mentioned that she was "almost certain of the fish paste"), so I ended up ordering the veggie soup (which unfortunately turned out as pretty flavourless). Also ordered my usually fav Pad Thai (requested for lite oil). That disappointed just as much as it too was bland and mostly comprising of uncooked vegetables & salad than being the traditionally flavourfully done Pad Thai dish. Not too great an experience over all, including that of the guests we invited. We were not satisfied with the quality of the service; food quality & the flavours, it was all quite unexpected, especially since we had reserved the restaurant after reading nice reviews. Quite a wasted evening. Would not be able to recommend the place.

This is a great spot to stop for dinner. It is near all of the major hotel chains, so it's very easy to walk to for out of town guests, but was actually recommended to me by a local. The drinks were delicious, if a bit on the sweet side for me. I ordered the Zombie cocktail which mostly tasted like juice. My friends ordered the Lycheetini which they loved and also agreed was on the sweet side. Our waitress was polite and helpful, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The restaurant is clean and well-decorated, and we found it very pleasant. The food is great and the servings are massive. The three of us probably could have shared an entree with an appetizer. I had plenty of leftovers of my beef pad thai which still tasted great the next day.

Service was very kind and quick. They always made sure to check up on us while we ate to make sure everything was perfect. Pad Thai was flavorful, drunken noodles were delicious (a little too spicy but still enjoyable) and the wings were tasty! Ambience was nice and a great high dining or family spot.

We ventured out to Tyson's corner for some quick shopping and had a Thai craving. We heard great things about Neisha Thai including their traditional large Tum Yum soup. While we didn't try that dish in particular the pineapple fried rice and the shrimp pad see ew didn't disappoint. The small tum yum soup was also flavorful. The restaurant is large with seasonal decorations including a water feature in the entryway. Service was excellent. Would stop by again.

Neisha Thai has always been a sure spot for me whenever I'm in the Tysons area and craving for Thai food. The food is mostly consistently good, and you can count on getting good service and a lively ambiance. Things I ordered at my most recent dining experience: -Chicken pad Thai: a classic Thai dish and it's also a satisfying one. Noodles were perfect texture and loaded with protein. I like how it's not made too sweet here as other places. -Ocean madness: mussels, shrimps, scallops, fish and squid in a Tiger sauce. This was so good. I love how the sauce added so much flavor to seafood. -Whole fried flounder: fried and crispy on the outside and flaky white fish in the inside. Paired with the tamarind sauce and it's divine! I absolutely recommend this dish!

Came in last minute with friends and were lucky to get a table. Wonderful live music and food! We ordered spring rolls that were light and fresh. I had the crying to get steak. It was very delicious and had a little kick to it. The spice was a nice touch! Great service, atmosphere, and food!

I recommend their chicken satay as the best in NOVA. I was also very impressed by their grill pork skewers! They were so moist and yummy! We also had drunken noodles and pad thai and some vegetables... everything was excellent! I don't think you can make a bad choice there! You should note that they are located next to a Japanese restaurant so you have to pay close attention the first time going there so you don't accidentally walk in the wrong door.

We had experienced Thai cuisine across multiple states and countries, we always approach new Thai…read morerestaurants with excitement and hope. Thai Mom caught our attention, and we walked in with high expectations based on the buzz we'd heard. Service & Atmosphere: I have to give credit where it's due - the service at Thai Mom is genuinely excellent. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, attentive, and friendly without being overbearing. They checked on us at just the right intervals, refilled our water promptly, and seemed genuinely invested in making sure we had a good experience. The hospitality alone made us want to love this place. The Appetizers - Where Thai Mom Shines: We started with their BBQ pork skewers, and honestly, these alone are worth mentioning. What sets Thai Mom's version apart is their unique preparation style - it's noticeably different from the standard BBQ pork skewers you'll find at most Thai restaurants. The meat had great char and flavor, and the accompanying sauce was tasty with a nice balance of sweet, savory, and tang. This dish gave us real hope for the rest of the meal. The fried calamari came next. Yes, the portion is on the smaller side, especially if you're sharing, but the quality makes up for the quantity. The batter is well-seasoned and achieves that perfect crispy texture without being greasy. The calamari itself was tender and fresh - clearly not frozen rubber rings. A solid execution of what could easily be a throwaway appetizer. We also tried the crispy pork slices. While the slices are quite thin (thinner than I prefer, honestly), the sauce they're served with is absolutely awesome. It's got depth, complexity, and that perfect balance that makes you want to lick the plate. The sauce honestly does the heavy lifting here, but sometimes that's all you need. The Entrees - Where Things Fell Apart: Unfortunately, this is where our experience took a disappointing turn, and I'm genuinely puzzled by the disconnect between the appetizers and mains. The boat noodles were our first red flag. If you've had authentic boat noodles - whether in Thailand, at hole-in-the-wall spots in Thai Town, or even at some of the better Thai restaurants stateside - you know there's a very specific flavor profile: deep, rich, slightly funky, with that characteristic broth that's been simmered for hours. Thai Mom's version was missing... something. We couldn't quite put our finger on what exactly, but the soul of the dish just wasn't there. The broth tasted flat and one-dimensional, lacking the complexity and depth that makes boat noodles so addictive. The Kapow fried rice was even more disappointing. Kapow (holy basil) is literally in the name of the dish, yet there were barely any leaves to be found. What we got tasted more like a standard Chinese-style fried rice heavy on soy sauce - not necessarily bad, but completely missing the point of what makes Kapow fried rice distinct. Where was the aromatic punch of holy basil? The slight heat? The wok hei? It felt like someone made fried rice and just labeled it "Kapow" without understanding what the dish is supposed to be. The real letdown, though, was the Ba Mee Moo Dang (egg noodles with red BBQ pork). Given how excellent their BBQ pork skewers were, we had high hopes for this dish. Instead, the red pork tasted boiled - like it had been poached or steamed rather than given that signature charcoal BBQ treatment that creates those crispy, caramelized edges and smoky depth. It was a completely different product from their appetizer pork, and not in a good way. For a dish where the pork is the star, this was a significant miss. The Verdict: Here's the pattern we noticed: every single appetizer we tried was good to excellent. Every single entree we tried ranged from mediocre to disappointing. That's not a coincidence - it suggests that either there's a different cook handling appetizers versus mains, or the kitchen's strengths lie in smaller, simpler preparations rather than complex entrees. As someone who reviews restaurants regularly and understands that every place has off nights, I wanted to give Thai Mom the benefit of the doubt. But the consistency of the appetizer quality versus the entree quality suggests this isn't just a fluke. Would I Return? Honestly? Probably not for a full meal. If I were meeting friends for drinks and apps, Thai Mom would be a perfectly fine choice - the service is lovely, the BBQ pork skewers are legit, and the atmosphere is pleasant. But for a proper Thai dinner where I'm craving those comforting, soul-satisfying entrees? I'd look elsewhere. Three stars feels fair - it's squarely "it's okay" territory. The excellent service and solid appetizers keep it from being two stars, but the disappointing entrees prevent it from reaching four. Thai Mom has potential and clearly has talent in the kitchen, but they need to bring that same care and authenticity to their main dishes.

But the place was pretty empty, and I think I can understand why. The food here in my opinion is below average. I ordered a medium spice level Drunken Noodles with Chicken but I swear this was Extra Spicy--this is coming from a person that has a pretty high spice tolerance. Not only that, but it had a very tangy flavor to it as well. I've never had drunken noodles be this tangy. It did not taste right at all. This is one of my go to Thai dishes that I have ordered at many many restaurants. My husband got the Kob Kun Fried Rice. His dish was okay, but sort of strange. They kind of just plopped some crab on top (see pic) and didn't actually mix it into the fried rice. The crab they put on top was kind of cold, while the rest of the dish was hot. I thought that was odd. Even then it was better than my dish. So my husband, who has an higher spice tolerance than me, offered to swap dishes with me but even he could not handle it. It was spicy in a truly unenjoyable way. This sucks because I ordered a medium and they did not take that into account at all when making it. I had to do what I very rarely do--I asked if I could kindly send the dish back and I explained my issue. They were nice enough to let me order something different. I got the green curry with chicken. Sad thing is I got this mild in an effort to not have the spice issue again. However this time, my curry was completely sweet. I do actually like some spice in my thai food so this whole experience really sucked. I feel like I've made better thai curry at home, I will not be going back.
