After a lifetime in another state, I was new to Savannah, and after having driven my 2013 Hyundai…read moreSonata over 3000 miles to get here and with over 200,000 miles on the odometer, I knew that my car would need some tender, loving care and maintenance, but, like so many, I was terrified of not having a qualified auto specialist that I could trust. Maybe that's because I came from a large metropolitan city and wasn't used to the small town service that places like Skidaway auto repair provide. Pat runs the place, and upon meeting him I was delighted by his demeanor and his patience at explaining things to me so clearly and simply. I obviously don't know much about cars, but he didn't take advantage of that. In fact, they told me exactly what was wrong, how much it would cost, and educated me on what kind of things other mechanics, less scrupulous mechanics, would tell me and charge me, and how easily I could be taken advantage of. He made me feel like a relative was looking out for me. He even replaced a burnt out brake light for me, FOR FREE, on the spot, without waiting. Here's an example. My check engine had been on for quite a while, and he hooked up his magic gizmo to my car and within 30 seconds told me that a gas tank sensor was faulty and responsible for the check engine light. To replace the part with labor would cost about $300. However, by simply replacing my gas cap ($3 at any auto part shop) and not minding a few "false" fill up click-offs at the gas tank, I could live with the check engine light and save $300. This was on my FIRST visit to his shop! Now, tell me, in this day and age, with the economy hurting, who does that?! Pat does. The peace of mind I now have in knowing that I have an auto mechanic I can trust and who's fun to talk to, is yet another reason why I am increasingly enjoying living in Savannah. Trust me. He'll take care of you. Tell him I sent you. Thank you, Pat.

If zero stars were an option.....Extremely disappointed with service here. Been going here for…read more'simple' issues the last 2 years where it was known fixes for the issues I've had. However they were unable to 'fix' a knock that my 2014 CRV kept experiencing after their so called fix after 4 trips. First bill was for $1400...no detailed receipt so can't remember exactly what was replaced. The next 3 times it was for a compressor replacement which obviously was not the issue as it kept knocking. We paid $1000 one time and then no charge on the next two replacements....however we all know what an inconvenience (but necessary) these issues are. Was told the second compressor replaced the 'defective' one and then the 3rd one was a different manufacturer which ended making the knock worse! Ended up at another auto repair and short story....the knock was finally fixed and the bill at half the cost of the original $1400. Called Skidaway to ask for some reimbursement and stated he would not offer any as "we didn't have the part to give him". There was no part to give back cause it wasn't the compressor! Word to the wise....do not waste your time going here.

Absolute worst car service I've experienced in my 50 years of driving…read more I drove my car into this shop perfectly fine--I just needed them to look at the carburetor because it was idling high. They diagnosed it, told me it needed a manifold plate to adjust it, and ordered the part. The next call I get? They claim the car suddenly won't go into drive and tried to quote me thousands of dollars for a brand-new transmission. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission when I drove it onto their lot. I told them to stop, park it, and I would come get it. They then had the nerve to charge me $500 for the "work" they supposedly did. I paid the ransom just to get my car back and had to have it towed home. I have never in my life driven a functioning car into a mechanic's shop only to have it towed back to my house. Terrible customer service, shady practices, and an all-around bad business. Avoid at all costs.

Wow. Incredibly disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism at this place…read more My partner and I took his car here due to some engine troubles and rattling noises. The man we talked to was often rude when he did manage to pick up the phone. He also gave little to no information about the progress on our car. We were initially told 3-4 days; it ended up being a month and a half and the car STILL wasn't fixed. Though, they did charge us $1500 for the "repairs" and then told us the engine would blow if driven when we said we were taking the car to the dealership. Surprise, surprise, it drove fine to the dealership who told us the problem was an easy fix, and we'll have the car back soon, plus we will be refunded the money BY the dealership. Awful experience overall. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!!

I took my 2017 Chevy Tahoe to Parrish Auto after seeing them recommended on a local Facebook page…read more My AC in the Tahoe was leaking and I had been without AC for quite some time. I was very impressed with their service. They fixed the problem the same day and the price was very reasonable! I also appreciated that they fixed the issue I went in for and didn't try to upsell me on anything else. I have and will recommend this auto shop to anyone!

Parrish Auto Repair is a great place to take your vehicle. This family owned business never makes…read moreyou feel like a number. We have taken different vehicles to Parrish over the years. They have always been honest and straightforward. But if I needed something explained they took the time to truly explain and give options. And not upsell items that were unnecessary. The auto repair shop is located on Habersham street. It is close to Green Truck. There is a limited amount of parking, you most likely will have to park on the street. The office/lobby is small but gets the job done. I would not suggest waiting for your vehicle there. I would make plans to go elsewhere and come back. Every person I have spoken to has always been helpful and kind. Mr. Parrish himself is incredibly knowledgeable. When describing sounds to him it is amazing how he knows what is wrong with your vehicle. They are open Monday through Friday. And keep normal business hours. There is a drop off box for keys for evenings/weekends if something happens when they are not there.
