After 14 1/2 years, Marea is my home and I've enjoyed every year of it The Property Manager, Dawn O'Brien, Is not only the most affable person I've ever met in a Leasing Office, but she has a real gift for hiring exceptional talent to help in the day to day running of such a large operation. If you've ever leased or rented in a large complex like Marea, then you know the importance of the Leasing Associates and how they absolutely determine your living experience at a complex and the enjoyment you'll receive from your Residency there. High turn-over, cranky.....or mad-at-the-world associates who just show up always make me feel bad if I have a request of some kind. Like I'm bothering them. But I've never felt that sentiment here and the Staff is always happy to answer any Q's you have, entertain any reasonable request, or fulfill any needs or requirements you have, and they do it with a smile in the most congenial manner possible. Are you kidding me I'd also like to give my thanks to the entire maintenance staff here. Fernando has been here since I moved here in 2012 and I'm always glad to see him come through the door if I have a maintenance issue to be fixed. He does exceptional work, is very clean and organized and he always, and I mean always, offers to take my garbage out to the dumpster when he leaves. Are you kidding me? Where else can you get service like that? Now if I could just get him to wash my car......... So if anyone out there is thinking of a lease or rental here at Marea, I want to assure you that you'll enjoy your time here as much as I have. The amenities are unbelievable, the location is one of the most beautiful in SoCal and because so many residents also enjoy living here, it's not a rental, is their home and people are always more welcoming and friendly in their homes. That's the environment you'll experience here. The Villas check every box! But besides the classic comfortable layout of the apartments or the location & amenities, the team @ Villas make it 10 out of 10. Manager Leo, Julie & Josh are on it. I moved to Vintage Shores about a month and a half ago to be close to my daughter, her husband and my 3 grandchildren and that alone is gold but moving here I got a lot more. My apartment is so cute,with a lot more storage space than it looks like at first glance. I look forward to the weather becoming a bit warmer to enjoy my morning coffee on my patio. The beautiful,peaceful grounds are adorned with flowers and the fresh scent of ocean air. The laundry room,pool and Jacuzzi are so clean. Along with friendly people, the aroma of good coffee fills the Clubhouse in the morning. There is even a social worker available every Monday. Mina ,the Community Manager, is absolutely lovely and makes sure that everything is always attended to for the residents,making this piece of ground not just an apartment complex but a real home. Luis,who is in charge of maintenance, can fix anything around here and knows what he is doing .Everything inside the apartment and outside on the grounds and Clubhouse is so well maintained. I just love this place. I have found a little bit of Heaven right here at Vintage shores. It's clear that they take great pride in ensuring the community remains a beautiful and comfortable place to call home. I so appreciate that when the pandemic first hit Mina ordered new stand alone mailboxes that were placed outside as opposed to a mail room where all of us would go to collect mail and thus keeping residents safe. We were very fortunate to meet and work Robert and to know that the designer work very well and along with Robert as our head of project (general contractor) and his team and referrals from plumbing, electrician, tiles, dry wall patching, to painting. A team of about 10 and each of them are very experienced and professional. Our two-month renovation project consisted numerous items from small to large including two fireplaces in Living Room and Dining Room, wood wall panel installation, PAX walk-in closet, bedroom door replacement, cabinet doors replacement, baseboard, bathtub glass sliding door, garage demolition and drywall installation, laundry cabinet/countertop/hanging rack, utility sink installation, PAX shoe closet, kitchen hardware replacement, TVs and speakers wall mount, and so on. Robert is very knowledgeable, attention to details, always considering items for long term use, and "zero" cutting corners. He is very thoughtful and takes into consideration from designer's plan and owner's asks and expectations as well as combining his technical experiences to make all projects practical, safe, and most importantly appealing. He is able to pivot when needed. Additionally, he went above and beyond to take care and adjust some of the minor things he saw throughout the house during renovation. Severe Operational Incompetence & Financial Negligence at Prado West (Greystar)…read more If you are looking for a luxury experience with reliable corporate management, look elsewhere. Prado West and Greystar have left my family facing tens of thousands of dollars in financial damages due to shocking internal incompetence and a complete failure to honor their agreements. The Situation: We went through the entire application and onboarding process for Unit 3-301 with an ironclad move-in date of August 2nd. The Paper Trail: Greystar's own resident portal explicitly states "Lease Signed! Congratulations! You already did this one!" with a live countdown to our move-in date. Based entirely on this binding, official confirmation, we spent thousands prepping our current home for rent and legally committed to long-term tenants taking over our property for $13,500 a month starting August 10th. We bound our renter's insurance and scheduled utilities to Prado West. The Nightmare: Less than two weeks before move-in, local management called to tell us the current tenant requested an extension, and that their "hands are tied." To make matters worse, they claimed they "couldn't find" the lease in their system--completely contradicting what their own software displays. Instead of taking corporate accountability for a holdover tenant or immediately offering to cover our emergency luxury accommodations and storage, they are hiding behind scripts while we face an unconscionable financial trap. We have been forced to escalate this directly to our attorneys. A multi-billion-dollar corporation like Greystar should know how to manage a basic transition without displacing incoming residents and causing massive financial harm. Avoid this property at all costs.
